We felt we were not informed. Our sales lady moved to another office the day after we signed. Very poor communication. They were not rude until they refused to return the monies. Some corporate guy just said we signed a contract which gave them the right to retain the earnest money. We felt they did not honor their contract in hiding the details of the deal and not being responsive to our concerns. I don't think they were out any monies.
Description of Work: We attempted to purchase a new home from Brighton in Waters Edge, a subdivision in Houston Texas. We picked out a plan and put down $1500.00. The sales lady could not show us the elevation we wanted. The home would have had 2 false dormers that we thought were ugly. No changes allowed. Then we found if we did upgrades which were needed and desired, we had to pay 50% at the time these were chosen which meant we had to shell out $15,000.00 more money up front. We cancelled the contract after 10 days before anything was started on construction and before our loan app was processed. They refused to return our earnest monies.
