Recently I had Alarm Masters come out to install a new system in my house I just bought. The house had an existing ADT Moose alarm system that was over 20 years old and so I wanted it completely replaced. The tech arrived on time and got right to work. Normally they will install GE systems in residential installs unless there are circumstances where Honeywell Vista panels work better or the customer requests it. I prefer Honeywell and they had no problem adhering to that request.
Being a bit of a techie myself and also wanting to save some money on the install, I ordered my Honeywell glass-breaks and Bosch motions online and installed those my self and ran the wiring in the attic to the panel myself. The tech had no problem with that and connected them to the new panel and verified they all worked. We decided to use the existing contacts on the exterior doors and windows from the previous alarm as they are still working properly.
The tech was very knowledgeable and got everything working properly. The install took about 7 hours because of the way the house is layed out and the amount of sensors around the house (16 zones.)
Alarm Masters is now using an alarm transmitter by ipDatatel that uses your home broadband connection as its primary form of communication and uses Verizon Wireless as its simultaneous backup. This transmitter also allows you to control the alarm remotely using a browser or app on iOS or Android. The app can also send push notifications when the alarm is armed/disarmed and by who, when it is set off and what zone(s) tripped, or when there is a problem with the system (ie sensor malfunction or power failure).
I have not experienced the alarm being set off yet, so can't comment too much on the monitoring yet, but from what I have heard from others is they respond almost immediately to alarms. The central station is Tudor Security in Chanelview and is a UL center. The building is designed to withstand hurricanes and has multiple power back up systems I think Brian mentioned to me there is also a fall back center in San Antonio from another alarm company if something catastrophic were to happen to Tudor.
Overall I have been extremely satisfied with everything and would recommend them. The office staff has been quick to acknowledged questions and concerns, with the owner, Brian often personally responding to them.

Fast response to my request for an estimate.
Reasonable wait for quotation.
Quotation was well detailed and professional. I knew exactly what i was being provided, right down to the details of the cameras.
Very impressive with the crew. On time and did not stop until finished.
Mr. Turner, the owner, was very personable and provided tremendous and quot;added valueand quot; in pointing our the features of our Security System, that we were not told by those who had sold and installed the system. In fact, we chose to add more cameras to the job without prompting or pressure from Mr Turner.

Alarm Masters is a top-notch company. The repair went extremely well. I called Alarm Masters late yesterday afternoon because my alarm system would not totally activate after another contractor replaced a broken window. Alarm Masters dispatched a tech to me early the next morning. The tech diagnosed the problem as a misaligned magnet and worked to realign the magnet on the new window so that the alarm system can be activated.

What I like most about Alarm Masters is that they are very quick to respond problems with a homeowner's alarm system. Their prices are fair and honest. I recommend them highly!!
