We went out and got bids from several installers when our current A/C was read its last rites a few weeks back. Air Tech was responsive on coming out to provide a bid, their staff was knowledgeable and able to give an accurate quote. Pricing was competitive - but what made us go with Air Tech was their installation process. They bring out a whole crew and said they could replace both our units in half a day. We were skeptical, as most other providers had estimated at least a full day for the job. But Air Tech came in with several installers (a couple working inside and a couple outside) and had the job done in just over 4 hours. Very painless. That plus the competitive pricing would have me recommend them to anyone needing a full replacement.

Very disappointed with Goodman equipment. Air tech was quick with the installation and as unobtrusive to the rest of the home.

My unit was installed by this company and unfortunately I have had nothing but problems with it. It is past warranty and the Angies list deal is keeping the unit alive until I can replace it. I called ( later) to see if there could be any recourse since the unit has had so many problems I.e. Blower, compressor both went out within 5 yrs, and then at 5 1/2 yrs low and behold they finally found a leak at the joining of compressor and the coil. The receptionist said she would pass on my info to the owner and he would return my call,but I haven't heard from them in over a month.

This was such a smooth operation! They scheduled, arrived on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently, gave me a decent cash price, and everything has worked perfectly since. I'm grateful and truly would recommend them to anyone. In fact, my best friends knew I was happy with them, and they are installing a new unit at their home today! Great job!

They have been very helpful repairing my old AC system of the past few months while it was on its last legs. The night before while we slept the outside unit completely quit. They came by the next morning to attempt to fix it, realized it wasn't fixable, and they assembled a crew that afternoon after normal business hours to replace the entire system. We purchased an American Standard system to replace our old Rudd. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They are by far the best AC company and service company we have worked with since we moved to Houston.

They installed a complete air conditioning system. We are very satisfied with their work, expertise, prompt service and efficiency.

All communication was professional and courteous from the initial call on a Sunday evening to Chris, the technician's call to let me know he was on the way at the appointed time.

When I arrived home the place was ~95 degrees and the compressor was not running. I called Air Tech and they said they would schedule someone right away, and noted that since I had an Angie's List coupon used prior there was also an emergency call-out coupon I could get that would save me a lot, if I bought it and called back with the number they'd honor it. 55 minutes later Steve showed up which was awesome since there had been several weeks of 100 degree weather and I am sure they are swamped with calls. He went right to work and diagnosed the capacitor and hard-start board was fried, replaced that, credited the service call to the product cots. A/C came on right away and started cooling. He gave me some advice about my unit (14 years old in Houston!) and some ideas for replacement and timing.

The technician, Rick, diagnosed the problem and implemented a solution within 30 minutes. Unit is running again. Thanks so much for your quick response and ingenuity in solving the problem!!!

Provider arrived on time and was very professional and informative during the inspection and repair. It was on a Saturday which was classified as an emergency call. When I called to schedule the visit, I was told about an Angie's List coupon for a $149 emergency call, so I purchased it while on the phone with the provider. The service tech did not know about the coupon, but went ahead an accepted a printed copy that I gave him. He also charged me an additional $140, bringing the total that I paid for the emergency call back up to their normal rate of $289. I thought this was a little unfair and underhanded since I thought that the Angie's List coupon was to cover the cost of the emergency call. The unit was serviced and put back in working order, which was the ultimate goal -- it just seemed odd that the amount I had to pay, including the Angie's List coupon, was exactly the same as the 'usual' emergency call rate. I marked that I would use this provider again, but only with a clear understanding of what the potential charges will be after using any coupons or discounts.

Air conditioner went out on a Friday night. Called Air Tech because of the excellent service they provided back in February when my heater went out. The receptionist was extremely helpful and within one hour two experienced technicians arrived on the scene. The power was out in my neighborhood, however, the head technician was still able to diagnose and fix the problem. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely call them again.

An excellent experience all-around considering nobody is going to be in a good mood when facing a hot house with malfunctioning AC, plus a big bill to replace the systems. My 2 units were system 15 years old, inefficient, and an energy-hog. The plenum, evaporator coil, and most ductwork were installed by the builder in a haphazard and inefficient manner so there were hot rooms, condensation on vents at times, noise, and high electricity bills. Les was the point man who thoroughly examined the existing system, and he spent an hour in a hot house doing so. He was 2 of 5 people who bid the job that actually identified the issues with airflow and outlined a plan. He used "the book" (also known as HVAC manual J) to actually calculate the needs of my home and I ended up needing a smaller system than I actually had already. And a smaller system that the other installers quoted me for, because they didn't take time to do the math. This was an expensive job but one that needed to be done right, and Les squeezed a bit on the price for me plus they have financing. I told Les I'd be blowing up his phone if this didn't come out right and he said "Good, because I'll be out after they do the install to check the work and I'll check everything room by room myself." The install was 2 1/2 days and the crew were neat, polite, and my dog liked them. They had to do some extra work to get it right and stayed till 7pm one day, and I was glad to see that they weren't all talk about not cutting corners. I went with a Daiken system that blows away the competition on warranty. The system is so quiet I can't even tell the units are running outdoors. There is no longer this huge "whoosh" of air with all the vents rattling and whining like before. I can't hear a thing when it runs now. The cooling and humidity control are excellent, and I am on the water in Houston folks. The wi-fi thermostat has all kinds of cool features so I can manually set a temp for however long I want. Haven't set up the app on my phone yet. As promised, Les will be coming out when Im available next week to check the install. A special mention goes to Heather, who set up the financing easily and quickly, plus answered my phone call at 8:30 AM and had all the answers. This established, family-owned business is sadly a dying breed these days. They care about what they do and did my job like their reputation depended on it.

Professional jobs. The technician was very patient to answer our questions and gave us great suggestions.

The service representative on time plus gave a call 30 minutes before arrival. "Rick" reviewed entire a/c system and determined that the evaporative coil was cracked and leaking Freon. He also recommended some upgrades to the system for better effiency. On his quote he gave me (2) for the repairs by major companies. I selected one. We set up an appointment. On the day of the appointment I received a call from the technicians that they were en-route. A crew of 4 men arrived and immediately started to work by placing tarps down to protect the floors under the ladder to the attic and hallway. The lead technician , "Nicholas" explained to me what was going to be done and if I had a questions to let him know. Near the end of the job he checked with again to see I had a concerns or questions. On completion they cleaned up and were on their way. Comments: I have read several of the reviews on Angie's list that the consumer considered the price to high. I don't - I had another (smaller) company that quoted me a lower price but that was to ONLY replace the coil. After 3 weeks of missed appointments some with no calls from them. I decided to go with a company from "Angie's list". What cost due you assign to missed appointments? and 3 weeks in Houston heat and humidity with minimal A/C ? Air Tech - was professional, timely, no missed appointments, called 30 minutes before arrival, reviewed problem and progress of repair with me. Warranty on coil and parts 10 years on labor 1 year. Great service and a well trained professional crew.

Full check of our unit inside and outside. Mechanically functioning with 100% return air filter clogged. He explained everything about the system, its condition and life expectancy. I am confident with his explanations and will consider them when replacement time comes around in only a few years. Very professional and trustworthy. I will use AirTech of Houston again.

I have called AirTech regarding a problem I was having with my AC unit because of a lightning strike and they have sent a tech the same day. Chris responded to the call, he has been really been courteous and on time. He explained to me what went wrong and he appeared knowledgeable about the work he is doing. I would recommend AirTech of Houston to anyone.

Called them late on Th afternoon when A/C stopped working. They worked me in that day, although I did have to pay an emergency call rate, but mitigated with an Angie's List coupon. Talked with them around 5:30pm and the repairman arrived by 6:30 PM, same day. He was professional, knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem (faulty fan capacitor), replaced the part and checked the refrigerant levels in less than an hour. It was expensive, but worth it to have A/C on a 100 degree day.
