Description of Work: I was scheduled for a tune up. Nothing was wrong with my AC at that time The day before my tune up schedule, my condenser unit started making noise. I called the office. I was about to get dark outside. I just wanted to let them know that my unit broke down, so that they could come out as early as possible the next day. The person insisted that they could send out a technician. I told him that I don't want to pay for emergency pricing. He said no problem there wouldn't be any. The guy came out. He tried to SELL me a new condensor unit from the time he hit the door. It ended up being $254 for a new contactor. He rescheduled the next day tuneup visit until Saturday. He came in with his books. He looked at the air handler unit with a leak detector. He found the coil ( a ten year old coil) had leaks. I never got a tune up that cost me $136. We went back downstairs and he started his sales pitch. He gave me pricing and told me that he's the best price in town. I also said " If you don't believe me, shop around" I did and had a better unit installed here with new ducting and a better seer rating for over $1000 less. I paid a higher price for the tune up because it specifically stated that the company didn't try to sell them anything. He kept saying he had a sick 18 month old at home. Never again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My only concern was their standard price for replacing the run capacitor. I made my living in electronics for a very long time. This is an inexpensive part, and a five minute change out. Their $289 standard charge is, to my mind, on the high side. | |That having been said, I had purchased a $49 service deal which included a $100 repair credit. This made my total expenditure $238. A fair price for the value received.

Description of Work: Replaced fan motor in A/C unit. They were punctual and professional. Offered options such as replacing unit versus just replacing the motor. My son's birthday party was that afternoon. They had it fixed and the house was cool in plenty of time, as promised. It was pricey, but all A/C repair tends to be.
