A Better Tripp Moving & Storage

Description of Work: Prepared everything for storage (wrapped, boxed etc). stored goods for one month, delivered goods to new address, placed everything where I wanted it and removed all wraps and packing. Handled everything with care and nothing was scratched or broken.

Description of Work: moved us from Texas to Florida. This was the easiest move we have ever experienced thanks to all of the staff of Tripp Movers.

Description of Work: They were very professional and did not waste any time but proceeded with the work quickly and took great care of my items. Very easy to work with and had great communications with the company prior to the move and worked with me with several changes from the original request.

Description of Work: I didn't think companies existed like this anymore, let alone a moving company! My move was under 2K lbs from Houston to Austin. I felt confident after speaking to Renee, and making slight changes were never a problem. Extremely thorough forms. I was charged exactly what I was quoted. Only pleasant surprises. I never expected every piece of furniture, including the dining room chairs to be quilt wrapped and secured BEFORE IT WAS MOVED FROM MY HOME! Glass curio cabinets were additionally protected with cardboard over the quilt. Even the threshold of my front door was protected! Awesome company/experience and we will definitely be using them again for our final move.

Description of Work: My previous experience with a different nationwide moving company was a traumatic one & one I didn't want to repeat. My apprehension & anxiety were high as I was literally paralyzed by the past & was having a very challenging time trusting another company to this necessary task. From the very beginning, Mr. Beaulieu was sincerely understanding & encouraging & assured me that my experience would not be repeated with A Better Tripp. His words were supported by the actions of the team that worked for us, but it is significant to note that it was also due to the advisement Mr. Beaulieu gave to make the move as smooth as possible. He asked questions & answered many more to come up with a plan nothing short of brilliant. Many details were explained & arranged so the move was set up for success. This included the use of 2 teams & trucks, single loading (no stacking), & A Better Tripp's systematic padding, wrapping, & securing of all furnishings, as well as experienced crews to do the work. As a fine art photographer & educator, I am very conscientious about details, so to have the organizer & movers all so acutely aware, informed, & concerned with the details of my move was an absolute requirement for me in choosing a company. | |In addition, Mr. Beaulieu was taxed with the task of securing crews that were able to do the move the day after a major holiday. He worked after hours to assemble the crew & arrange the move. This did not end with a contract; he was expeditious in following up on both email & phone messages regarding the setup of the move as well as with follow up after the move. This speaks volumes to me about his sincerity & concern that this be a positive experience for us as well as a merit of his professionalism. He truly went the extra mile before, during, & after. | |The crew that came to my home led by Mr. Ruiz were constantly diligent, respectful, & worked in excellence throughout the entire project. Not a moment was wasted, yet they were not rushing through the job. They were careful, considerate, well prepared, & well organized on the move of each item whether a heavy modern piece or a delicate heirloom antique. These men managed the move brilliantly in a way I had not experienced with any company in the past. | |I cannot say enough positive things about Mr. Beaulieu, Mr. Ruiz, & the team. As such, this comes with my highest commendations of them for their individual jobs. They are assets to their company. Mr. Beaulieu was reliable, faithful, well educated & sensitive to the task at hand. Mr. Ruiz was an outstanding leader of his team all of whom showed not just a high level of skill to complete the task in a professional way, but also the respect needed for us & our belongings. All of these employees did their respective jobs in excellence. There are many moving companies from which to choose, but I'd have no reservation moving again with A Better Tripp. It truly was a better trip for us---and that is an understatement. It was actually an OUTSTANDING trip. I never in a million years thought I'd say that moving was a joy, but it was just that. |

Description of Work: I have had 2 moves performed by A Better Tripp. In both cases the move itself was conducted very professionally by the driver. I have read horror stories about other movers, and this is not one; however, I did have some issues that you should be aware of if you use them. | |You should plan to be in the home until it is emptied. First, be aware that the packers they use for out of town moves are not A Better Tripp employees but are hired at your location for your job. While the driver works to oversee them, they are an unknown quantity and may not be up to his standards. We had some weird things happen. Second, the company only is concerned about whether an item on the inventory is missing or damaged, so if something didn't get packed they don't consider it their problem. You need to do a final sweep through your home to verify that nothing is left behind. When it comes to electronic devices they do not reimburse you if they break during the move because they claim it may have already been broken. If a some pieces of an item that is too small to be listed individually are left behind or lost they deny responsibility. | |In summary the company is outstanding in moving you but its business office is not exceptional. Pick them for the professionalism of their drivers but protect yourself as much as possible from having to file a claim.

Description of Work: I would not use them back in the future and recommend to this company. We only like one man, he is a driver. he was nicer and worked harder then the other two. They were younger but slow, taking time and even gave me an attitude when we ask them to display my Funitures.As a result, I paid $920 which was double what I supposed to paid but my stuffs are still left a lots at the old place. Been experiencing of moving, I think we overpaid but not satisfied :(

Description of Work: The movers from A Better Tripp showed up on time and worked diligently and efficiently, all while showing respect and the utmost care in handling our belongings. They were very patient despite the fact that we were still packing as they were loading and were more than happy to move furniture around if we were not happy with the placement. I was surprised and pleased to see the care they took to center rugs and furniture without us even asking. The guys were very pleasant to work with and we would absolutely recommend them to any of our friends.

Description of Work: They moved two households in one day with two trucks. Everything was very well planned and done nicely. The only complaint I have is this: as I unpacked the boxes, I found huge...HUGE amounts of packing paper in boxes of unbreakable items. I paid for all of that paper. I am talking about 15 sheets folded up and put in the box where it was clearly not needed.

Description of Work: Moved a houseful of furniture (no boxes) from a two story house to another nearby two story house. After setting up the date of the move, I was called a few days ahead of time to go over details of the move. Four gentlemen arrived on time, and the first thing we did was take a tour of the house to talk about what they were to move. The men got right to work. They worked efficiently and carefully, and never took even a short break. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in quilts and shrink wrapped. All 4 men were polite to each other and to me and my family members. I used this company 12 years ago and was pleased at that time, too. This is one of the reasons I chose them again.

Description of Work: I had called a few moving companies but Renee got on the phone with me right away and gave me some excellent information that would help me when I needed to make the interstate move. I haven't moved yet but this company will be one of the two I call back when my house sells.

Description of Work: The movers were excellent - very professional and helpful. When I changed my method of payment the day of the move and accidentally used my AMEX card the office manager send me a very rude e-mail. I felt that she damaged an otherwise excellent experience. I resolved the issue immediately but was dissatisfied with her insincere apology.
