A Better Tripp Moving & Storage

It started off well, as they were able to accommodate us on short notice. This was the worst moving experience I ever had, and I move a lot for my job. The crew was supposed to be their best, and if that is the case I would hate to see their worst. When packing our goods, two guys worked at a snail's pace, almost like they were in slow motion. They spent more time working in the same room so they could talk to each other, and we had to tell them multiple times what to pack and then they still got it wrong. When it came to moving day, they showed up 45 minutes late, forgot to move the window a/c unit after both my wife and I reminded them, to which the lead guy said "Oh, sh**" and then proceeded to try and charge us an extra 30 minutes for going back to get it. They also forgot to load some boxes into the truck, and said "can't you just put it in your car?" Wow, unprofessional, lazy and careless. Should rename the company "A Bigger Headache"

Great! They arrived a bit early (which was fine), wored very hard and didn't damage anything. I will be using them again to move to Chicago from Houston. Manuel was really great and nice.

They were very good. The price was fine. We did all our packing. They showed up on time and they were high quality movers. Our refrigerator was too big to fit in the kitchen and one of the guys helped me take the door off to be able to get the refrigerator in the kitchen. I would highly recommend them and I would absolutely use them again.

Fantastic. They were "perfect gentlemen" according to my mother. They were very helpful, getting everything just right so that my wife and i had almost no work to do at all. A flawless execution on a day that could have been really bad.

I have used them once before on a small job, so I was very comfortable with the quality of their work. I've had a number of people tell me that paying by the hour is a mistake - they couldn't be more wrong. They were scheduled to arrive at 8:30am and were there to the minute on time. While I was signing the paperwork, the other 2 guys were already looking at the furniture and boxes and starting carrying things out immediately. I have never seen three guys work so hard and steady. They didn't scratch one piece, never touched walls or moldings, padded everything as well as any mover we have ever used, and probably wouldn't have eaten lunch if I hadn't insisted. I think lunch took all of 5 minutes, and they were back at it. They filled a truck, drove an hour to our new home, and unloaded in a total of 5 hours. We paid $550 for the move and $110 for the travel time and truck before an after for a total of $660. The best estimate I got from a traditional moving company was $1500, so I got a bargain. You cannot go wrong with this company. I cannot overemphasize their professionalism, care and work ethic.

They were very reliable. The estimate was fairly reasonable and they were on time and kept their schedule.

I can't say enough good things about this company (and I'm hard to impress). Renee Long is wonderful and was MORE than willing to work with me on multiple changes in the moving date. Be warned...Bank of America can NOT close a transaction on time recently and we were delayed at least 5 times over the course of nearly 3 weeks. Though they had a very full schedule, Renee was always willing to work with me on finding the best day to reschedule. We ended up having only 48 hours notice and they were able to pack and move my entire house in one day (on Sunday). The 3 guys were on time, took amazing care to box and wrap everything in my home and move into the new house. Not a single complaint. I highly recommend this company and won't look anywhere else the next time I move.

The men were on time at the storage unit. They made every effort to pack the truck with every item in storage, but the size of the truck was just a bit smaller than the size needed. As a result, the men returned for a second trip (I was not charged extra!) to get the remaining items. They unloaded all furnishings, boxes, and other items. They set up the beds, the refrigerator, and the washer/dryer. They moved a few pieces of furniture when I changed my mind about placement - and, they were good-natured about it!

The moving crew showed up 30 minutes early. They quickly loaded my furniture from the rental home. The team took great care with my belongings ensuring no damage was do to the furniture or my home. We had several large pieces that had to go the second floor. They brilliantly maneuvered the winding staircase without any damage. They performed equally as well in clearing out my storage unit. The team was prompt, professional and extremely courteous.

The crew from "A Better Tripp" worked hard and fantastically well. They were extrememly punctual, polite and worked non-stop. As a treat, I brought the guys some lunch and was surprised that immediately after they went back to working hard (no siesta). These guys were courteous, professional and worked extremely hard. I never realized just how much gear we had in storage. I would not hesitate to use this company again !!!

Great. The office staff was very easy to work with. I scheduled last minute and even made a schedule change without a hitch. On time, quick and did their job without much direction. My only complaint is that they forgot to move a couch out to the curb at one of the houses to be picked up by trash.

Amazing. They showed up early- unheard of! They laid boxed down to protect our hardwood and slate floors and set about packing the two trucks. There were four movers and two trucks and they had both of them packed up by about 1:00 in the afternoon. They wrapped every piece of furniture securely in blankets and then taped them off so the blankets would stay on. They treated every piece and every box as if it were their own. Nothing- nothing got broken or scratched. We bought them lunch and they ate in shifts so they were unloading the entire time. When they were finished they asked if they needed to stick around to continue to help us get situated. They also wanted to know if there was anything that had been placed already that needed to be moved again. I can't stress enough how great these guys were. They were all friendly, they worked hard, and I would definitely use them again. No wonder there are such great reviews about this company. I would recommend them to anyone I know who needs movers. Called on a Tuesday for a Saturday packing and move. Accomodated us. 3-man crew arrived on time, and worked non-stop for 12 hours, totally completing move. Wonderful service. The cost includes all packing materials, packing everything, and moving it. It was a masterful job.

This moving experience went a lot better than I expected. They helped me move right after the hurricane so in the beginning it was a little tough but all of my things arrived in New York and nothing was broken. They were a little pricey but the fact that all of my things arrived well made the price worth it.

It went very, very well. It was excellent service for a very reasonable price. From the time we first contacted them, the sales, dispatch, and delivery contacts were all helpful, courteous, careful and professional. The piano moved from Wellington to Columbus is a particular family heirloom, irreplaceable and of tremendous value to our family. They moved that along with all other items very carefully and with respect. They handled the whole move without us having to worry. I gave them straight A's across the board except for 'Responsiveness' only because I initiated all contact with them, and even that may have been because I was more anxious about this move than they were. :-) We will definitely use this company again during our next move.

I called about a month in advance and described the move. The salesperson did not visit my home, but advised me from my description on the appropriate size truck and a three man crew. He quoted me an hourly rate plus travel time. He allowed me to choose the date on which I wished to move. The company confirmed the week of the move, and three guys showed up on time on the appointed day and completed the entire move in about 4.5 hours. They were professional, careful, and friendly.

Very well. They were punctual, efficient, friendly, and through. Not a single item was broken.

Setting up appointment went very well; all calls handled professionally and promptly. Quote given for one truck with 3 men for approximately 4-6 hrs (at around $600). The actual move went well with all furniture and boxes ending up in the correct rooms and no breakage or dents. The one downside was that the truck was "not large enough" to also move all of my outdoor potted plants with everything else. This resulted in unloading furniture & boxes at the new house, returning to the old house, loading up the plants, and returning to the new house to unload them -- to the tune of an additional 2 hrs and more money. Had a large enough truck been brought at the beginning, this would not have been an issue (and I felt I was clear about having 25-30 potted outdoor plants to move as well). Nonetheless, everyone was conscientious and pleasant.

They were very courteous and professional. They made sure to handle each piece of fragile furniture with extra care. They weren't exactly the cheapest, but they were really worth it. They also made sure to not scratch the wood floors in my old home while moving the furniture.

I have always worried about pay-by-the-hour services, but David Tripp has nothing but positive reports on Angie's List, so I took the plunge. He indicated they would start at 9:00am and they were here to the minute. He also called the Saturday before to confirm, a nice touch. he men that showed up were exemplary; they were conscientious and consistent and handled the entire move professionally and with no damage. They were very careful in removing the appliances from the home not to damage walls or door frames, and took the same level of care when they delivered the load to our new home. I have moved a lot in my job, and I have to say that this was the best move of the 11 we have done in the past. Once we sell this house we will have A Better Tripp handle the total furniture move, packing and delivery for all of our things. Great mover!

Went smoothly, pricing was fair and based on the hours worked - also I liked that they charged a flat trip charge instead of starting the clock when they leave the shop - the clock started when they got to my place. The movers took care of my furniture and used a lot of plastic and blankets. Setup the move last minute and the owner assured me it was no problem! He was right. Low stress move.

Movers arrived promptly at 9 AM and began moving. Special care was given to breakables. The movers were courteous and professional and would recommend these guys to friends and family.

A 3-man crew came in one day at the appointed hour and packed us up completely. Did a superb job! The following day the same 3-man crew came back precisely at the appointed time to move all the boxes and furniture. The furniture was completely wrapped in blankets. A large (huge) armoire was handled with ease. Everything was delivered to our new residence. The move went very, very well. We haven't detected a scratch or broken piece anywhere so far. While the service was probably a bit more expensive than others, it was certainly worth it.
