A Better Tripp Moving & Storage

The estimator was very professional and sent me a quote by the next day. The four men and two trucks showed up promptly at 8:30 a.m. and began a walk through. They quickly began work until they had completed taking boxes, furniture, etc. from our two story home. We were having to close on a new home that day at 2:00 p.m. and we were able to do this as they had finished loading and proceeded to eat lunch while we closed. They showed up at our new home at 3:00 p.m. and began unloading. We had several pieces of furniture and boxes that were to go to a storage facility nearby which two of the men took care of with my husband while the other two completed the unload. They were all good, very helpful and extremely professional. We were set up with beds, and ready to begin our lives in our new home by 6:30 p.m. that evening. The men took their time to make sure that everything was set up properly and that we didn't have anything else we needed them to do. The man in charge sat down with me and went over everything giving me the final bill. It was even a little less than had been expected. My husband and I were really pleased and appreciated them operating the way that they did. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I called on Thursday, said we wanted to get moved as soon as possible. Melvin wasn't able to come out until the next Wednesday and was late showing up. He said he would email me the estimate that afternoon or early the next morning. I finally got an email late Friday afternoon. He did not provide a dollar amount estimate and stated that it would be 4 weeks before they could move us. Needless to say, I found another company.

They were excellent; I interviewed 3 companies and chose them in the end.

Service Setup Staff Very courteous. Very responsive. Very up front and frank about potential costs. Movers Very courteous. Very professional once they arrived. Worked quickly. Took care not to damage items or either house. Only complaint was that they were an hour late. But that actually worked to my advantage by being able to get things ready before they arrived.

Company was excellent in all ways. I have had extensive dealings with moving companies and A Better Tripp was among the best. They were thorough with good follow-thru. They moved furniture from a three story townhouse to a two story house. They were quickly and carefully. I highly recommend them.

They are reasonable and we are very satisfied with time. The mangers and the supervisor on the job have all been very pleasant and capable.

They were just great. I was so pleased. They were three of the nicest guys. They were hardworking and just wonderful.

After I had called two other movers, both recommended by Angie's, and neither called me back with the promised estimate, I tried A Better Tripp Moving, also recommended by Angie's. Bill O'Neil was courteous and efficient. He emailed me within minutes with an estimate and was able to schedule the move 5 days later. All the paperwork was processed by email within 24 hours. The day of the move was cold and rainy which delayed the truck slightly. A Better Tripp called me twice to let me know where the truck was and when it would arrive. The driver and helper were pleasant, professional and efficient. All pieces were wrapped in blankets and then plastic shrink wrap. They put blankets on my carpet to protect it during the loading. They were very careful with the fragile pieces and boxes of china. Delivery in Houston was promised for the next day. The driver called my step-daughter to confirm the delivery time and everything was unloaded on time and in good condition. From start to finish I was pleased and satisfied that I had found A Better Tripp Moving as they made the whole process easy. Their price was not cheap but it was fair. I would not hesitate to recommend A Better Tripp Moving to anyone.

I recommend them. They did a very good job. We had a lot of things to move and they had us moved and unpacked within four days. The crew did a good job and they were professional. The only problem I had was that they didn't give us the full price up front.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of the people I dealt with. I talked to lots of companies and this was the best. They packed everything carefully and marked all boxes with contents or location. The crew were obviously professionals and not just day labor. They are based in Houston but do national moves. All of my belongings arrived undamaged. Not the cheapest but definitely the best.

I really don’t know what the cost was because my husband dealt with it. So I’m really not sure. I was really pleased with everything. I will definitely use them again in the future. They were good. The overall experience was probably excellent. They were good.

It was all furniture and large items that I needed moved so I found the company on Angie's List. I'm very satisfied with the service that they provided to me. They were very, very professional.

It was good. The other reviews I read said they tend to show up late and they did show up about 20-30 minutes late. Once they got there they worked and worked and worked. They cleaned out a 10 x 10 storage in 35 minutes. They put it on the truck and moved it to a different storage unit in the same area. They were done in an hour and a half, it was amazing. They came back to the house and picked up more things to put into the unit. When they got to the townhouse that's when it really got good. It was 3 stories and everything heavy had to go upstairs. They were great. We looked at other groups but we liked them because they had a 3 men crew. There weren't any extra charges or surprises. It was exactly what they said it would be. It was good. They were also offering a coupon on Angie's List. We were very pleased with them. Because they are paid by the hour you might worry that they drag their feet a little but they did not, they were moving the whole time. We fed them lunch and that's the only time they stopped, but they didn't ask for that. They took 5 minutes to eat a sandwich and then keep moving. I think the price was fair, not the cheapest or highest.

They did pre-estimate the job; and we were happy with the estimate; but they did not bring a large enough truck. We were paying them by the hour, something like $400 per hour. They could tell they were not going to have enough room as they got close to finishing the loading so we had to load a lot of stuff in our cars to move ourselves. I will not use them again in the future.

They are very good. They did a great job, they wrapped everything individually, and they took their time. We paid by the hour, but they took their time in a good way; they didn’t waste time but they did a good job. Everything was wrapped up and carefully moved. They are more expensive than other movers I have used in the past, but you should call them because they really know what they are doing. They have been doing this for years and you can tell.

They were timely and showed up. They worked hard and were polite and prepared. This firm did a real solid job, their prices seemed reasonable and I am very content. We moved a lot of electronics so it would have been nice to have them hook all of them up after we moved so that I could have been up and running immediately. I would use them again without hesitation.

I called up and spoke with Rene, she was a gem, got me some great quotes after asking me specific questions. I called a few other places, the price and custormer service was great at A Better Tripp Moving & Storage, so I chose to use them. I got a confirmation call a day before the move, Jack Summers called, he is the person that handles all the trucks going in and out, he is a stickler to times and appointments, which keeps the company moving smooth. Jack got me a great crew, and Rene called again to go over the order again and make sure nothing was left out. The movers showed up on time, moved all the items and more very fast, all items were padded and secured in the truck. The crew was warm and very polite, they asked to go to the bathroom once, aside from that, they had no needs for water or anything. The crew had to go to two locations after picking up all the items to drop them off. they made it to both locations and got the items set up were I wanted them to go all in less time than what I was quoted. They were honest with that, showed me where I saved money, and when along their way. Awesome Company

We found them on Angie’s List. They were really good. They did a good job. We chose them largely because of their price. We were a little bit disturbed by the guys that they sent, but the company itself was okay. They were there when they were supposed to be there. They were good with following up.

PERFECT. EASY TO SCHEDULE; CALLED TO CONFIRM; ARRIVED ON TIME; CAREFUL WITH EVERYTHING.

We had the most enjoyable moving experience possible with the crew of 4 who moved us. We moved from Houston to Montgomery, TX. Yes wildfire area. First to note: 1. They were ON TIME 2. They took the time to INTRODUCE THEMSELVES, ever work with crews that you know everyone's name? 3. They were CLEAN and dressed in company shirts 4. They were POLITE and SMILED ALL DAY - it was a 12 hour move 5. They were INCREDIBLY ORGANIZED - every square inch of the trucks were full. I sat and watched them all day. 6. They TOOK CARE OF ALL OUR THINGS - even things that could get banged around they handled carefully. Furniture we had covered in cardboard to protect AND what we did not, were wrapped in blankets then shrink wrapped for extra protection. We took them through the house when they arrived to see what we had and to express our concerns about certain items. They listened and then explained what they would do. All forms were gone over before they started packing and again at the end of the job. They worked so fast and efficiently without stopping until we made them take a break. I mean who can work all day without stopping? Even still, they were surprised we were insisting that they do so. Will we use them again? ABSOLUTELY. We have already told everyone we have spoken to how incredible our moving day was. The 4 man crew we had deserves a pat on the back and some kind of bonus for representing their company in such a fine manner..

If I give a company a score of a perfect 10, that is what I would rate Dave Tripp's company! I had a very quick, stressful, interstate move and these guys came to the rescue were the ultimate pros! This company came out in person to give an estimate (vs. a lot of other companies that just would "estimate" over the phone. The estimator - Bill O'Neil was great to work with. Very skilled and no big "sales pitch" and "sell-up" on anything. Just worked to meet our needs and was very helpful in demystifying the process of the move. The crew - Mike and Raymond were the best I have ever seen (and I have been around for a lot of moves!) They were punctual, very skilled at this moving business - they KNEW how to move a household. Totally honest, ethical , communicative and polite folks. They actually cared about my belongings and it showed. I did not have one item damaged or broken. They were AWESOME! I would recommend this company in a heartbeat and absolutely use them again. I hate moving but because of Dave Tripp's attention to detail and his staff, I might just change my mind!Thanks Dave, Bill, Mike and Raymond!

Moving is painful, but this company helped my transition with continual courtesy and cheer. The three workers arrived 15 minutes early and were ready to work. They never slowed, never stopped, just kept going hard and fast all day long (from 8:15 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.). They didn't even take a lunch break, but ate in the truck between trips. They covered my furniture with plastic protective wrap and carried it as if it were priceless. Very good communicators: They continually asked questions to be sure they were placing the boxes and items in the correct rooms. What struck me most was that they seemed to genuinely enjoy their work--one man sang, another whistled, and they laughed and talked as they carried furniture. They took especial care with my piano, which meant a lot to me. I'd hire these guys any day...but pray I never move again!
