They mow, edge, pull the weeds and cut the shrubs, and they clean it all up. They have never missed a day unless it's pouring down rain. I can call and they'll be there and the guys are as friendly as can be.

Met with Bill Hammer and explained what I wanted done. He was very helpful and easy to work with. By the following day he e-mailed me a proposal with schetches and itemized cost. He suggested and I agreed that due to due to the heat here in the middle of summer, we postpone the planting of bushes and flowers until mid September. He then broke down the proposal into two phases - work that could be done now and that we would put off until Sep. Phase one took three days to complete. Bill came out every morning to discuss the days work and any issues that may have come up on the previous day. I thought this was very helpful since the workers did not speak much English. The workers were friendly, courteous and hard working but the language barrier was sometimes a problem. I was very pleased with the work they did and will probably hire them again for some additional work I want done. Clean up was adequate but a few rocks and other materials were left in the yard. Will complete this review after planting is completed.

Told them what I was looking to do, they made suggestions, we agreed on plan and price. They kept to all commitments and responded to all my needs. Awesome company!

The workers arrived at 8:00 as promised (actually it was 7:57) and got right to work. They consulted us on certain aspects of the work as they went along and were very gracious about some very minor changes we requested regarding the trimming of one of our bushes (the name of which we can not recall). They worked diligently and cleaned up before they left. We LOVE our cactus garden and the "manicured" look of our bushes. Thanks to Bill for the plans and to Josh and his crew for the great job. We have recently had a very bad experience with another company we did not get from Angie's List (he was referred by our neighbor), so it was really a pleasure to have a company deliver what they promised when they promised it.

Contacted Peterson's for an estimate for lawn maintenance in including mowing, edging, fertilizing and weed control, and shrub bed maintenance. They sent Ken out to discuss my needs and measure my lot. I received a prompt estimate, and after asking some questions decided to accept the contract. Unfortunately, there have been some problems with the company e-mail system so I've had to resend e-mails and attachments multiple times to receive responses. This has reduced my scores for what would have been a good recommendation. I'm one month into the contract. I'll follow up at a later time. Update: Peterson's has continued to have problems. We have had to explain several times to the work crews what needed to be completed because they had inaccurate information. Once corrected, the work crews did an acceptable job. The front office staff had problems getting the billing right, and when I complained they were unprofessional. The bottom line is the work crews do reasonable work, but the sales and customer service support is unacceptable. I continued to work with Peterson's through the first few problems, due to their excellent reputation on Angie's list. Needless to say, we are no longer doing business with Peterson's. Based on my experience, I'll be surprised if they continue to keep their A rating.

They were able to send someone out the same day I called (A for initial responsiveness). He arrived on time (actually beat me home), took measurements and photos, and said he'd email an estimate with a drawing in about 2-3 business days. After 5 business days, I called to check on the estimate and he said he'd have the drawing to me later that day or the next day. It is now 2 weeks later I still have no estimate. I found another company to complete the job.

I loved them and I will continue to use them in all of my projects. They really did a good job. They came out and their prices were reasonable and they did everything they said they were going to do and beyond. They're easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to tell anybody to use them. They're fair and I like them a lot.

Repaired sprinkler and yard damage caused by heavy truck that cut across my yard to reach neighbors backyard. Peterson's came in promptly fixed the irrigation system the first day and scheduled appointment approximately a week later for work crew to come in and fix the truck tire ruts and replace sections of sod as needed. Work went very quickly and was very satisfied.

We got off to a really good start as Jason Goff from Peterson's promptly called me to make an appointment and showed up right on time on 11.15.2013. He had a lot of good ideas and made notes as to what to include in the project bid. I expected he would get back to me in a few days but I never heard from Peterson's again. On 12.11.2013, a competing company will begin work on my $30,000 Pavestone project. If Peterson's didn't want the job it would have been professional to at least tell me. Looks like they wasted their time and my time. The saga continues... Jason contacted me the week of 12.9.2013 and sincerely apologized for not getting back to me. He said he was new and had forgot to follow up. We are regrouping and he provided a quote on the landscape lighting and irrigation maintenance & repairs. I am reviewing that quote now. I have upgraded my ratings based on Peterson's effort to try again. I will complete this review as the story continues... 2.19.2014 Gus the irrigation expert and Jason himself came out to work on irrigation system maintenance. They were actually 30 minutes earlier than the 1 pm promised. They both worked very hard to get the system back into top shape. They did leave one head unfixed but I have a call Jason and I hope they will come fix it. I am now waiting on a quote for the repair of some of the mercury vapor down lighting in the trees. If I hire them for this project, I will open another review specifically on that. Overall, Jason & Peterson's Landscape & Maintenance Services redeemed themselves. I will have them bid on an outdoor kitchen I plan to build later in the year.

I contracted with Peterson's for a two part service. First, they were to lay a landscaping border, then they were to come back later in the season to plant some foliage. This of course turned into two different prices, but I had no problem with that. The landscape border turned out nicely, but in this first order, they were to till the ground, so that it would be ready for planting in the coming months. I paid them for this service, but when I attempted to get them to come back with the foliage that I wanted, I was consistently given quotes for landscape foliage that I didn't like. When I questioned whether or not they had the foliage that I had requested, I didn't get a response back and haven't heard from them since. Needless to say, I've had to perform the second part of the landscaping on my own. This wasn't a bad thing because I did a really good job, however, as I began the digging part, I found the old landscaping fabric that I had initially laid down a year earlier as weed barrier, lying under a two inch level of dirt that was laid by this company! This lets me know that the tilling work was not done, and all I got for my money was some dirt laid on top of some already bad planting area. My advice to anyone who uses this company, is to be there and monitor their work through the entire process. I won't be recommending them. UPDATE: This is a follow up to an earlier review for Peterson's. Since my initial review of Peterson's landscaping, I've been contacted directly by Bill Peterson, the owner. I must say that I was truly surprised that the President of the company would care enough to get in touch with a dissatisfied customer. While explaining my position on my rating of his team's performance, Mr. Peterson took the time to truly listen to my concerns. He reviewed his team leaders responses to my statements, and had even come by my home in order to ascertain the extent of my dissatisfaction. I've felt for some time now, that true customer service is dead, however, Mr. Peterson shows that it is alive and well. He went out of his way to ensure that my experience was a good one, and wanted to make sure that I would become a customer again in the future. It's truly a great feeling to know that companies like this one still exist. Therefore, I'll be recommending Peterson's in the near future. If you want a great customer oriented experience, go and see Bill Peterson, directly!

I wish I had pictures of before and after, amazing transformation! The area where my shrubs are was a mess. They cleaned it up beautifully! Backyard had been landscaped by previous owners and we let it go. They cleaned it up along with all the shrubs and trees in back. Finished it off with a fresh layer of mulch and also installed St. Augustine grass on the side of the house that had been overrun with weeds. Very punctual and communication with Josh was great. Absolutely no complaints! Wonderful job!!

I gave them a time frame and they selected a date within that time frame. They came out and finished within the day. They gave me exactly what I wanted. They were able to perfectly match the stone I have in other parts of the garden. I would recommend them to anyone.

I got a couple of bids, but other company only wanted me to tell them what to do and gave bid on that. I needed some expert advice, and I got that from Peterson's landscape. They gave me suggestions on how to best prep yard and pros and cons of various grass types. In the end I went with zoysia grass which was a little more expensive than the St. Augustine I had originally intended to put in. It has been a year since installation and I am very happy with the results.

I have not used them because at this point I chose not to spend the money. It has nothing to do with their price, I just am having other work done at present. They were very congenial when I said I wanted to hold off at present. They were very nice, professional and on time; I can't say anything bad about them. They got back to me the next day with the estimate. I found them on Angie's List and they had good reviews. Their quoted price was $2,000.

We needed some other landscaping to be done and we chose somebody else. I think they are so big that they do not want to do little jobs. They did our work, but I called them and it took a good while before they showed up.

They did a great job. I like everything about them. They were quite expensive. The yard was pretty good. It was very professional. The people are very professional. I haven't had to call for anything.

They are fine; they are doing a good job. I do not dislike anything about them. The salesperson was good and they are doing everything they said they were going to do.

They are my regular landscapers. I have been using Peterson’s for 15 years. I have weekly service from them. I have the owner’s cell phone number. If I have any questions or issues, I can call him and he always takes my calls. I am small potatoes, compared to the large accounts that he has. They are very responsive. One of the things about Peterson’s that I like, I can call and someone always answers the phone. I know that they will take care of whatever I am calling about. They meet their deadlines and their quality of work is really good. They have not raised my rate in 15 years. It still feels like the small company that it was 15 years ago. I will continue to use them.

This company is AMAZING! Having worked in the service and hospitality industry for years on a corporate level and now being business owners, we found ourselves impressed and wowed from our first encounter with this company by the level of service, personability, and attention to details that this company has. We first were referred to Peterson's in 2006 when we decided to completely overhaul our backyard. We had recently built our home and all it had was an icky 10x10 concrete slab in the back yard. Peterson's Landscaping came in and gave us the backyard we had asked for. They saw and more importantly, understood and felt our vision and brought that to fruition for us. Any questions we had, they answered, and changes we wanted to make they made it. In the end, the pricing was reasonable for the end product! The project included a gorgeous new flagstone patio with a receded dining area. They also put in a solid cedar arbor custom made for the entire back length of our home and a stunning focal flower bed in the center of our yard with a flag stone retainer wall and all of my favorite flowers and trees. This outdoor living/dining area also included a custom deck to with built in seating for 20+. It is an amazing and space we have enjoyed the expanded living area so much! They did a quality job for a super fair price. Since the back yard work was completed, we have needed the occasional check on the sprinkler system and they are always quick to get by and repair for a reasonable charge. They are honest and dependable andwe have referred them to NUMEROUS family, friends and neighbors.
