Worked on two AC units on my house and hired to work on rent house too. He spotted a potential problem on one home unit. Explained it wasn't critical but will be, repair was inexpensive and seemed the right thing to do. No pressure just honest evaluation. Same with the rent house. He checked it out including looking for evidence of tenants misuse or abuse. His conclusion was that the tenants were doing a very good job of changing filters. Tenants get a free dinner and I didn't have any repairs from abuse. Everybody wins.
Description of Work: Hired to inspect and clean three AC units. Especially interested in tenants care of rental unit.

Description of Work: They were very professional and went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. The owner Scott, had to come by the 2nd day, because even though Aron spent the whole day trying to make the new system work he couldn't. Not sure why. Scott is a man who takes pride in his work, and I truly appreciate his professionalism.

They were very professional from start to finish. We were abe to schedule an appointment easily and quickly. They showed up on time and discussed all their findings in detail with us. Our AC units were very old and we had a lot of issues with them the previous summer. They recommended several thousand dollars in repairs but also mentioned that it might be better to simply replace the system if we could. We asked them to quote the replacement. They had to send a different person out to perform the assessment and offer a quote. We had one other company come out and give us a quote as well. Ultimately we chose the other company for the replacement.

We had some initial communication problems, but I was at least as responsible as they were. Once the scheduling issues were resolved the work was done quickly, professionally and to my satisfaction. I would not hesitate to use their services in the future.

For starters, the workmen were almost 2 hours later than they said they arrive. It took all day for them to get the insulation into the attic. The workmen seemed unsure about what they were doing, and they left bits of insulation all over my front walkway and in the hallway where the attic access is located. I had to clean it all up. Approximately 60 days later, the drip pan from my air conditioner overflowed causing damage to the light fixture and ceiling in the bathroom that is located under the air conditioner. After calling a local plumber who came to assess the damage, the plumber told me that he dug out the blown in insulation in the drip pan and told me that the insulation caused the drip pan to overflow. Since I have lived in my home for 30 years without ever having had a problem with the a/c drip pan, I agree with the conclusion to which the the plumber came. ( I provided Diamond Quality with a copy of the bill that I received from the plumber.) Diamond Quality came to my home to inspect the damage and told me that the problem was not their fault. I do not believe them and now I have a damaged ceiling and a ruined light fixture (where the water poured through) in my bathroom. Since I am retired and on a fixed income, I am unable to pay to get the damage repaired at this time. I cannot recommend this company for the installation of attic insulation.

The member contacted us initially for an AC tuneup. The ac tuneup was completed and while on the call we were able to make the member aware of maintenance items recommended for service. While on the call the member also commented she had, had rodent problems in her attic. Recommended drain pan because of the condition it was in, (have pictures), and other items for cleaning up outside condenser unit. Also recommended adding additional insulation to attic for increased home comfort. The member asked for a quote which included cleaning up the outside condenser, the repair of an electrical component and, for the added insulation. A proposal was emailed to the member and the member contacted us back to schedule the items she wanted us to do. On May 18th our technicians were sent out to perform the insulation services, to also clean the outside condensing coils and replace an electrical component which was failing on the outside condensing unit. ***Note: There was a fairly large area in her attic that was going to require complete filling with insulation because there was none. After the job was completed the member was very happy with the work, as she had expressed at the time to one of the owners who followed up at the end of the full day job. The member stated we were the first company that she ever felt she got the value for the money spent and that she had previously used two other companies in town that she always felt had taken advantage of her in one way or another regarding AC maintenance. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way to validate this members beliefs or statements about the water issue, due to the fact that, we were called about the water leak issue approximately 4 months later and, only after, the member had a plumbing company come out to repair (and clean), the area. Note: The member contacted a plumbing company, not our company, about the problem. We believe this would indicate that the member was not intent on blaming our company for a water leak which sprout from her bathroom ceiling, approximately 4 months after we completed our service work at the members home. When the member did finally contact us about the problem, after the plumber had come and gone, we immediately offered to go visit with the member about it, and inspect. We arrived at the members home the very day she made us aware, September 7th. We took pictures for our files and there was no evidence of how our company could have caused this members issue. The member even stated to me that day that she was not blaming us but that she just wanted to call and make us aware of the issue she had had. We truly care about the way we provide service to every member and it was our decision to revisit with the member at her home that day and, take the additional inspection pictures of the area. Before leaving the members home we had a meaningful discussion about the fact that she was not blaming us, that there was no evidence that we could have caused the issue. Even still we offered to have a drywall repairman contact the member and offered to the member to work directly with the drywall repairman to patch the corner of the ceiling where the water came through, at a wholesale rate (vs) retail. The member stated that would be great! Also, on this visit, the member told us how much she appreciated the additional insulation in her home and how much better the ac was working now that we had performed the maintenance on the outside unit. The member stated she had never been happy with any other company that she had ever called out before for ac tuneups or maintenance and that she always felt taken advantage of by other companies but, that we had been different. And that's why she called us out to add the insulation and clean/repair the outdoor condensing unit. After visiting with the member on September 7th, we called the drywall repairman and asked that he contact the member and to offer the repair at our discounted rate. We left the members home on September 7th and we left on good terms. The member stated she appreciated that we made a special trip to just review the issue with her and thanked us for coming by again. We don't understand why another three months later the member is making statements contradicting what was discussed and accepted on the inspection which, we voluntarily offered September 7th. Our Diamond Quality Services Technicians are skilled in the services we provide as well as in providing, professional results to every member we serve. Unfortunately, there are times when things happen to appear one way but, are for obvious reasons implied somehow as to possibly damage our courteous and professional company. We will always strive to provide for every member the best possible solution in every situation and, to give each member service beyond expectation. Obviously, there are instances we cannot assume blame for pre-existing conditions or issues out of our control.

I was having intermittent furnace issues. The first time they sent someone out, everything checked out OK. A few weeks later, the furnace started acting up again. I called them and they sent someone out in a couple hours which I was very pleased with. The technician diagnosed the problem and put in a new furnace control board. Per the invoice, the second service call ended up costing: Board cost - $75, service fee this visit - $335. Took about 2 hours. I spent the better part of $500 in two visits to get my furnace repaired.

The original call for the member was a furnace tune-up. At the time of the tune up, the member notified the technician that he had an intermittent problem. The technician did not locate the problem at this time, being that it was intermittent. Everything cheked out operationally and we as a company do not like to throw parts at a problem and hope it corrects the issue. The second time we were out we were able to identify the problem as a faulty circuit board. The member was not charged the $75 service call, only for the part and installation. The actual cost of the circuit board was not $85 as the member reports. We can only assume at this time, the member looked up online the cost of the component as available from online suppliers, which is typically 10 to 20% cheaper compared to what is available locally. Of course, the member could have purchased the board online and installed it himself but instead chose for us to provide the service and repair at our very reasonable and value driven prices. As a side note: a professional business does not have just the cost of the circuit board and the time it takes to properly install the board. There is also marketing, a dispatcher to schedule work, vehicle that requires gas, tires, proper insurance, other maintenance of said vehicle and eventual replacement, a technician that is paid, payroll taxes for both dispatcher and technician, liability insurance, workers compensation insurance to prevent home owners from being responsible for injuries on his/her property, telephones, computers, hand tools, diagnostic tools, book keeping, tax filings for texas workforce, training for technicians so they can be current on new equipment and legal requirements, licensing for air conditioning with continuing education requirements, EPA licensing requirements, roof over the head and food on the table and, the list goes on. But, these are just some of the basics it takes to be in our business and make professional house call visits. It is no wonder that doctors do not make house calls anymore. We love what we do and we thoroughly enjoy helping people, Angie's list members, all our customers. We are truly blessed to have such a great business and have so much support from so many members. Sometimes, I think we all have a tendency to forget all that it takes to not just survive in business but, to live a quality of life. If we could do every job for free or just break even and support our families and stay in business to be able to keep doing it over and over again, that would great. It's just not reality. Unfortunately a person cannot take the air conditioner/heater to a doctor. we have to go to it. Then it comes down to: What is fair? What is reasonable? As a quick example, I spoke with a customer last week that spent over $1000 for a similar board. So, being in business and making a, reasonable profit, is essential to economic survival but, it certainly does not have to involve price gouging and companies operating in a way which gouges don't usually stay in business. That issue normally takes care of itself within just a couple short years. Fortunately, we are not that kind of company and thanks to the support of thousands of Angie's list members we are encouraged to keep helping people, encouraged to continue building an exciting business and, encouraged to be around for many more years to come to continue serving all our customers with service beyond expectation. For the record: We keep our costs in line with staying in business and making a reasonable profit. We enjoy helping people and will continue to do so. If there is an issue with price there are second or third or unlimited opinions always available. My appointment was set for 0900. At 1015, I called because no one had arrived for my appointment. The receptionist stated, "let me call and see where they are." The receptionist called back, telling me that they had a 2 hour window from my appointment time. Nothing about this 2 hour window was mentioned by this company on Angie's list when I purchased the service. Nothing was mentioned about this 2 hour window when I called to set this date and time for the service. I made other plans that morning; and did not have a "2 hour window" in my schedule. So, at my request, I cancelled the service and received a full refund. FYI--around 1400, I received a call that Diamond Quality Services was "on their way" to my house--even after I had cancelled the service at 1015. I feel this was a matter of miscommunication all around; not a justment on the quality of this company's service.
Description of Work: First of all, I put $50.00,because I don't recall the purchase price of this deal. The service was not provided at my request.

There was a little mix up at first making a connection due to transposed numbers in our phone number. After calling them to follow up they were quick to schedule an appointment immediately. The technician was prompt to arrive and very courteous as he went about inspecting the heating systems. He thoroughly explained the work he performed. I felt like I got good service for the money.

It went well. The owner and Rita are very nice and responsive. I wish I had gotten a little more detail regarding the needed repairs. I would use this company again, but request additional information about the needed repairs next time.

The technician showed up right on time and was very polite and got right to inspecting my 20+-year-old AC system. After he was done, he came and told me that the system was indeed old, but working just fine and there was nothing that needed to be done to it. I felt he was very honest and straightforward, and I appreciated that.
Description of Work: I purchased this company's special for an A/C system season tuneup for $59. The technician came and inspected the system and was polite and knowledgeable. Since there were no issues with my system, he did not need to do any additional work.

I purchased a Big Deal for a heating checkup. The scheduling couldn't have been easier. In fact, they were prepared to come the same afternoon I made the purchase! I wasn't available that afternoon, but they were able to accomodate my schedule with no problem. The technician arrived as scheduled and performed the needed check. He fully explained everything he did and completed the work quickly and professionally. I will definitely use their services again and would highly recommend that others do the same!

Called ahead prior to arriving. Spent a lot of time evaluating our AC system, then took time to explain in detail how he understood the problem, offered options on how to solve the problem, looked into our mfg warranty to reduce our out of pocket cost. They were easy to deal with from the appointment, showing up on time and completing the job. Aaron and Scott who came the second day to fix the heat downstairs were very informative and patient in answering my questions. Highly recommended them and will gladly used them again this summer for m y AC tune up.
Description of Work: Bought the deal for heater tune up, but my downstairs heat was not working. They serviced the top unit and determine the downstairs unit needed service. Quickly ordered the part, came back the next day and was VERY reasonable on the price.

It was okay. The scheduling was not the smoothest. In another case, the big deal vendor contacted me even before I contacted him, which I really liked. But in this case, I had to call. When I first called Rita, I was told that they would only come to my area (Plano) only on a couple of days. When I said that I thought service would be performed on a first come first served basis, I got a reply that kind of gave me the impression that I could cancel the service request via Angies's list if I wanted. Any way, I went ahead and scheduled. On the morning of the scheduled day, when I called, I was told that I was not on their schedule. Apparently, Rita was out of the office when she answered my phone the first time, and gave me the scheduled time, but had forgotten to put it down in her records. She initially pushed back somewhat that I probably called out of office hours (which was not the case), but later acknowledged that it may have been her mistake, and she was anyway kind enough to give me the first appointment the following day. The guy who came took a look, said everything was okay except that freon was low, recharged some freon, and said that I should start getting cool air. I ran the A/C for some time, but there was no cool air. So, I called again, and again initially I got some pushback that they did what was part of the tuneup and they could not do more. But they said everything was okay and that I would get cool air, which I was not getting. Rita then scheduled for a senior technician to visit. The second guy who came obviously seemed to know what he was doing. He checked the unit, and saw that there was some insulation covering portions of the evaporator that it should not. He quickly removed that, and put some duct tape, and I was getting cool air again. In the end, things were okay, but the process was somewhat tedious.

This call was done in July and I honestly do not remember all that this home owner said about the scheduling of the call. We office out of Grapevine and it is true that during our busy times, we schedule our calls by routing our technicians according to areas. I did tell him the times we were scheduling for and explained if this did not meet with his scheduling requirements, then he was free to call Angie's List, and they would probably have another company in his area that could accomodate him. He chose to schedule with us. We are sorry for any inconvience we caused this member.
