I requested and appt for ac unit replacement consultation. I use only emails and texts so I used their website contact e-form. I asked for emails to be used for communication. Rita Cartwright emailed saying they must talk to me over the phone before they can even schedule an appt. I didn't agree that it was necessary but I still gave her my phone number. She never called! Ugh...So annoying!!

Response from Diamond Quality Services
In response to the members review; it is our policy to have a phone number contact for each customer/member whose home we go to as we call each member/customer roughly 30 minutes in advance of arriving at their home. This allows the customer to know we are on the way. One reason is sometimes an appointment is forgotten and no one is home so with a phone number contact, we are able to reconfigure the appointment almost immediately for the member or in some cases not reschedule but just wait a few minutes for the member to return home as they may have just been right around the corner or at a neighbors next door, saving time or inconvenience for everyone by communicating and working together. The information above is just one of the main reasons we must have a phone number contact. The member is 100% correct in her review, after exchanging several emails with her, the last one I received was one with her phone number. I cannot try and make an excuse for not following through because it was my fault and although I really am trying to figure out just exactly what happened, I do want her to know I am sorry. If there is any way I can make it up to her, I would like her to contact me and let me know. Sincerely, Rita Cartwright

The tech arrived right on time and inspected the attic A/C unit to determine the best way to clear the drain line. He told me how he was going to do it by using compressed air to blow out the debris that had clogged the PVC. He brought in the compressed air tank and promptly had the line cleared. No muss...no fuss. He was here less than 30 minutes and the charge was $69.95 just for the service charge since he did not have to cut into the PVC to clear the line. Very professional and efficient visit. When we have future A/C work we call call Diamond again. Great experience.

He did the inspection and afterwards he said I needed a new a/c unit. I got a second opinion and they said that was not the case. He called a few times trying to follow up and get me to purchase the unit. I feel his recommendation was inaccurate. I did have him install an attic vent and was very pleased with that.
Description of Work: I Purchased a Big Deal for $55 for a Complete Attic Energy and Ventilation Inspection. I had them install an attic vent as well.

Response from Diamond Quality Services
Dear Member, We appreciate your hiring us for some of the efficiency solutions we offered you. We do not have a problem with the "second opinion" you received and it appears they told you what you wanted to hear. We understand second opinions, how they can be "used" and how easily they are to come by these days however, the day we completed our inspection your HVAC system (inside and outside) was not a matched system. So one part of our recommendation at that time was scheduling a proper heat-load calculation to determine possible right-sizing of your equipment based upon manufacturer recommendations/guidelines. We will however address the comments you left "open ended" and the lack of specificity regarding the feeling of inaccuracy you felt was on our part. Our response will be based on the documentation we collected during the complete inspection and evaluation and the lack of information on your part regarding our findings the day of inspection. To preface, we Diamond Quality Services do not "use" opinions to gain business; rather we inspect and gather pertinent information, diagnose issues based on years of experience and documentation, communicate our findings in order to express appropriate solutions to our member/customer to meet the need or want; and we leave the decisions up to each member and customer. At the time of our completed evaluation the member was found to have a 4 ton condenser with a 3.5 ton evaporator, unmatched compressor and coil. An unmatched compressor and evaporative coil can pose an overall lack of energy efficiency no matter what is done to properly address an appropriate amount of attic ventilation. This was discussed with the member. True there are times when in our thorough approach to each inspection we have to provide some members and customers with information which may be unsettling to them or that they may just not want to hear. We know it is our responsibility to offer you the truth. We don't like giving a customer bad news. It's the worst part of our job. Just because the member doesn't feel it's accurate does not change the accuracy of unmatched components accompanied with conclusive documentation readily available from equipment manufacturers. The question is do you want to hear the truth and with conclusive evidence accept it for what it is and resolve it or, keep searching for someone else to tell you what you want to hear, need to hear. When our evaluation was complete and our corrective solutions were provided this member did choose to hire some of the work done. The member did not choose to have us further diagnose the mechanical HVAC system and thereby communicated no interest with right-sizing the system unilaterally. *The total amount for the attic ventilation work we performed for the member was $530.00 (five hundred thirty dollars). Soffit vents and whirlybirds. Member accepted and was very pleased. *Proposal to add additional insulation and properly support/suspend ductwork in the attic to correct and alleviate dysfunctional airflow issues. Member declined. *Offered further diagnosis of HVAC and right-sizing to properly rematch existing HVAC system. Member declined. *The member was very pleased with the work with which she did hire us for. In the future, if the member would like us to complete the project or provide any of the other recommended corrective repairs we would be just as pleased to do so as she was with the work we provided her with initially. Just give our office a call and schedule for a current inspection. Over years of inspections we have performed for our customers and Angie's List members alike, we have found the vast majority would rather know everything applicable to efficiency based on our inspection (especially when it relates to something as critical as their HVAC system as it typically consumes up to 50 to 60 percent of their energy bills each month), rather than not know all of the information we can and should provide. Enabling our customers to make the most informed decision possible is just the right thing to do. It has taken the member herself almost two years to follow up with Angie's List regarding a feeling of inaccuracy which is contrary to conclusive evidence and documentation we collected on the inspection. Astonishingly, the member is also in-descriptive or vague at best, offering zero specificity as to why she feels our documentation of an unmatched system and need for possible right-sizing could be incorrect. It makes sense to us that in order to perform at our consistent best and provide excellent service we must effectively gather pertinent information, document, perform a proper diagnostic and follow up to ensure we are providing and doing what you want-not what you don't. You disagree and thats ok. Either way, it is exactly what took place 1 year and 6 months ago. Last, the member suggests in her review that we called multiple times to try and get her to buy something she did not want. First off, that just doesn't make sense. We don't have to do that to be successful and provide great service to all Angie's List members. Second, anyone that we have served knows that we as a company do not use the pounce and hound sell tactics. Last, we know it would be a complete waste of each others time (ours and the members) because we would never create repeat business, and that is certainly not the case. We maintain very detailed notes and take pictures for documentation. We do this to appropriately communicate information as we perform our jobs, enabling us to properly address questions versus being confrontational based on opinion. Thank you again for your review. We are going to continue to focus on the right things as we continue moving forward in our pursuit of providing Service Beyond Expectation. To all Angie's List Members: Thank you for the opportunity to serve, Diamond Quality Services Customer care

Addressed significant mold issue by replacing the plenum and new filter. Prior quote was not to our satisfaction as they only wanted to clean the mold and place lights for over 6x the cost. For additional cost we had Scott add refrigerant which we were never told was needed. This was additional cost and it is amazing how cool our home is now. We also opted to have him place a home air filtration system due to some asthma problems we are experiencing. While he did not push to sell the system he explained various options and was very reasonable and completed the job in a very timely and professional manner. When we called for the mold issue his receptionist Rita was extremely helpful and Scott returned our call promptly. Their professionalism in taking all forms of payment and following up with receipt via email is excellent. More importantly they are not in the business of trying to get you to join a club or membership in order to get services performed. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend them.

We initially contacted Diamond Quality Services to have a condensation line unblocked. We decided to have them perform a tune up on both of our units. Scott, the owner, showed up within an hour of the estimated time, but had called 45 minutes in advance to let me know approximately when he'd be here. We also had him clean the units from the inside, for an additional charge. So far, it seems our AC is cooling more efficiently than it had been.
Description of Work: We had a tune up done on both units, and had one of the units' auxiliary condensation drain lines unclogged.

It went not so good actually. I was not happy, but they did refund my money. I had a clog in condensation drain of my air conditioning and so it was leaking into the hallway and I told them what was happening on the phone, but I purchased the deal that was tune up and all points check and freon refill purchased like that before my air conditioning condensation plugged up. It was just the timing of it when they actually got here that they had clogged up and so they were going to take care of that as well. So, I was happy, they did the inspection and they told me something that they recommended and then they said they fixed the condensation drain which they charged me $90 for it and then two days later it was overflowing and so I called another contractor actually I got referral from a friend and he came out and he worked on the condensation drain for several hours and he finally got it really unplugged it was prepacked in there whatever it was and he retested out my air conditioning for I told him what the other guy recommended that I pull out blower fan and clean the condensation coils and all that and he said right now your air conditioning seems to be right work as it supposed to be it is cool he said if you do that you can create more problems with the coils so it leaks and that is what the other guy told me. Your system is old I wouldn't mess with it until it and probably it have couple more years best with it before you need to replace the whole system so I called them back and they refunded my money. I would not use them again.

Dear member, Actually everything went really well on the day of the scheduled tune-up. You initially purchased a full system tune-up through Angie's List which we fully completed. Upon our scheduled tune-up appointment at your home you told our technician Brandon that you had just discovered a clogged drain line and asked him to clear it while he was there for the tune-up. Your HVAC system is very old but working. Also, during the tune-up appointment, our technician Brandon noticed that some of the internal components needed additional cleaning services and made a few recommendations regarding that as well. Our receptionist followed up with a phone message after our technician left - you never returned. The documentation we have on file reveals to us that the appointment went well as we completed the full system tune-up and cleared the drain line for you. We charge 95.00 for drain line service and the line was working properly when we left your home. A few days later you called our receptionist to claim that your drain line had another clog and our receptionist began asking questions to resolve and schedule so we could return to investigate and clear the line once more. You told our receptionist that you had already called a friend that sent their son out to investigate and that you just wanted your money back. So, without haste, our receptionist made the notes that you just wanted your 95.00 back for the drain clearing service we provided to you the on the day of the tune-up. *Even though you did not allow us the opportunity to further investigate your ongoing drain problem and resolve the issue permanently, we refunded you the total 95.00. In essence your drain line was cleared and serviced the day of the tune-up for free and yet, you are not happy. We were happy to refund you the 95.00 and we hope that the son of your friend can help you with everything else we recommended for you on the tune-up as well. We would prefer it. The system has not been well maintained. Based on the information we collect and you have confirmed in your review, your system is old and is in need of some further cleaning of certain efficiency components, which could explain the dis-repair and or condition of the drain line internally as well. We understand "in your mind" you wanted your money back. You felt you paid for something you didn't get. This is not the case and we are sure you are aware of it because of the other recommendations that we provided you. That said, we still provided your refund. Our last recommendation would be the next time you pay for a service and you have a problem that re-occurs, is to allow the company which resolved the issue the first time to allow them further access to investigate any other potential problems and to resolve to your satisfaction. It is called a "warranty" and or "limited warranty". Based on the members own revelation of system age: As with any much older and we think safe to say, "un-maintained HVAC system" and or drain line, the issue can tend to persist due to old pipes consisting of heavily laden algae buildup and debris. Sometimes the best permanent solution would be drain line replacement although, without an opportunity to further investigate a problem which appears to be an ongoing issue, one can only assume. The one and only thing that is well known was that you say you were not happy that your drain line re-clogged a few days after we had cleared it for you and, rather than scheduling with us to return, further investigate, warranty, and remedy your ongoing problem with a more permanent solution based on new current findings, instead you chose to call on the son of one of your friends and asked for 95 dollars in return. We gave it to you and there was no fuss. We are ok with that and we are happy to have refunded you the ninety five dollars which we hope you paid the son. Diamond Quality Services is a professional and appropriately licensed Heating and Air, Installation service and repair, Indoor Air Quality and Energy efficiency local home comfort business in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metro area. We have a firm understanding of our business and have a passion to provide Service Beyond Expectation! Diamond Quality Services Customer Care

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was excellent. They were very nice, very timely, very clean. I have clean cut people. They were on top of their game, they knew the business. The service call was $59. We didn't need the duct cleaning and I appreciated him telling me that. My only concern was he could go ahead and service the A/C but he didn't do anything at all to the outside. That was kind of unusual. He seemed to know what he was doing but he never ventured outside to the outside compressor. I will use them again in the future but I will speak up because I didn't realize until after he left that he had never looked at the outside unit.
Description of Work: Diamond Quality Services came out to do a complete check of the inside unit. He did look inside to make sure that everything there was where it should be.

It went really well. They were prompted and professional. They also were very clean as they went. They didn't get one of the return air vents but that was my fault for not pointing it out. Also one vent in the master still looks dirty to me but I haven't gotten up there to see if it is paint chipped off or a dirty vent. I know they took it down and cleaned. Otherwise they did a great job and the air quality in the house seems better.

Diamond Quality Services continues to be the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. Scott and Rita are such fantastic and caring people, I miss them when we don't have HVAC issues! They are honest and up front about their work, and they will never suggest a fix that you do not need. For larger jobs, they always help me to understand if we are going to see a return on the investment, or if it's better to go an alternate route. I trust their advice completely, and feel so relieved to know that when I call Diamond Quality Services, they will get the job done right the first time, and for an affordable price. I can't recommend them enough.

I wasn't very happy with them. They came out and basically, the technician told me he couldn't put freon or anything in the air conditioner because it was too close to my pool unit. So we didn't do anything but we went ahead and hired somebody else and they had no problem putting the freon in because they said the air conditioner opened on both sides. It didn't just open on the side where the pool unit was, it opened on the other side, too. So that technician, basically, we just paid that money for nothing. They were doing just like a tuneup and he looked around. He did a few things but what it needed was freon he said, but he wasn't able to put the freon in it because he said it was too close to the pool unit. But like I said, the other man came right out and said the air conditioning unit you can get to it from either side. So he put freon in from the other side. Diamond Quality Services quoted me a few things that he thought I should do but I didn't do any of it because he couldn't do what he came out to do to start with. They got to me within two weeks. That was still a little bit of a wait. From what I remember, he got here on time.

The technician was an owner of the company, Scott Peterson. The service ports only have one location. The service ports were in the corner between the house and pool equipment. The only way to reach the low side port was between the house and the condenser or lay on top of the condenser. The low side is the charging port. Scott recommended to the member that someone about 6 feet tall "may" have the arm length to reach, and also brought the member outside and showed the member so she would know that regardless whether the member got a "tall" person to add refrigerant, that we could not due to improper installation. Without belaboring the point, the pertinent information the member failed to reveal to the Angie's representative transcribing the phone interview regarding the visit at the members property which, took place year and a half ago, is critically important and will be disclosed at this time. *Is it possible that the member just forgot some of the most critical details of the service call during our visit at the members property from one and a half years ago; yes, we think it is possible. *We make detailed notes and take pictures because we don't want to forget how to prepare and serve every member that we believe we are fortunate enough to earn as a lifetime customer. We do not leave our business or, the concerns of our customers up to our memories. *Would it be possible for the member to have "provided-all" the information during the phone interview "recently transcribed", as well as make public, "all" of the information that we provided the member, had the "phone interview" taken place within a more sensible amount of time... 30 to 45 days of the visit at the members property; we believe so. Scott Peterson, an owner of the company was the technician both whom managed the service call and performed the full inspection, tune-up. If there were a way for him to add refrigerant, he most certainly could have done so at that time, as this is a routine service our company provides on all accessible systems, if needed or required. The issues at the members property were addressed at the visit-service call. A proper diagnostic was performed and reasonable solutions to correct problems were revealed and offered to the member at that time. The member chose to contact another company after our diagnostic and recommended solutions, which would have permanently corrected the problems we found at the members property. That is ok. It is "fact", the day of the visit at the members property Scott let the member know she needed to have the "pool company", which installed the pool equipment, correct the problem or go to the city and why. We do not service and repair nor install pool equipment. Scott shared with the member that day the overall best solution to fix/correct the "ac issues" at hand, for the short and long term. Apparently this member did neither and, the member as well failed to provide "all the details-facts" to the Angie's list phone transcriptionist regarding our visit-service call to the member property, one and a half years ago. Every Angie's List Member we serve is important and can expect and will receive service beyond expectation. We are dedicated professionals with a firm understanding of our business. We have a passion to serve those in need of our expertise and problem solving capabilities. Thank you for the opportunity to serve, Diamond Quality Services - Customer Care

Dear member, No, we did not clean the duct work in your home for 100 dollars nor did we service the area where you reside in April 2013, of this year. *What the member purchased from our company and the service we performed for this member is noted below: In "October of 2012" the member purchased a $59 Comprehensive Furnace Tune Up + "Free Air Duct Inspection!" Customer Member Customer Address (Member Address Removed) (Member Address Removed). Na Customer Phone Na Customer Email Na Coupon Code(s) HVAC-465587-1 Quantity 1 Amount Paid $59.00 This member has not been factual in his review and should redirect his concerns to the appropriate company whom the member chose to have "clean" his ductwork. The company the member chose for the "cleaning" obviously did not know how or, did not care about doing the job correctly. The bait and switch $100 dollar duct cleaning advertisement that many have seen and that the member put forth in the members review should be the first RED FLAG WAVING, as you really do get what you pay for and in this case it could not be more clear. Our background pertaining to Air Duct System Cleaning: Diamond Quality Services uses professional equipment for both the residential-light commercial and industrial air duct system cleaning, combined with over 25 years of collective experience in the indoor air quality industry. Also see http://www.diamondqualityservice.com/air-duct-cleaning.php We have been in the indoor air quality and energy efficiency industry since 1993 and hold a Texas Air Conditioning Contractors License (TACLB28267C) and an EPA Refrigeration Certificate. Professional background includes Senior Vice President of Operations at Rotobrush International from 1993 to 2008. Scott Peterson, while at Rotobrush, designed the Rotobrush aiR+ Air Duct Cleaning System and has 3 patents on the system. He developed the training system for Rotobrush International for air conditioning contractors as well as entrepreneurs and others for duct cleaning systems. Also see http://www.diamondqualityservice.com/about-us.php#history Our company is appropriately licensed. Furthermore the owners of Diamond Quality Services have personally trained thousands of contractors in various training programs throughout the country over the last decade. Special note: When it comes to air duct cleaning there are entirely too many blanket recommendations presented to consumers. Over time this is creating many false comforts regarding indoor air quality. Air duct cleaning, in and of itself, will not necessarily improve the quality of air you breathe in your indoor environment. There are many logical and viable reasons why this is so. Most common in todays market, the need for air duct cleaning is based upon how a consumer feels about the air they breathe in their home, versus the actual quality of the same air circulating through the ductwork. The biggest reason appears to be marketing and "many consumers are sold a bill of goods" rather than a real service. A real service based upon good information specific to the existing air conditioning system condition, and the quality of life desired from the service by the consumer. For instance, (epa.gov) the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states air duct cleaning has never been shown to prevent health problems. This is not to say the EPA approves or does not approve whether the service could be of great value to a consumer! The EPA and, the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) recommend an internal inspection of the air ducting, furnace, cooling coils and other air movement components. This inspection is absolutely necessary to determine if air duct cleaning is even needed, or to the other extreme of a ducting replacement due to microbial growth/contamination. We find that greater than half our air duct cleaning inspections require no air duct cleaning needed whatsoever. Whether air duct cleaning is required more often than not depends on a particular environment specific to the consumers wants/needs, and how the indoor environment has or is maintained inside the livable space of the home or office. In addition, we often find air duct cleaning services are desirable due to pre-existing conditions such as disconnected, unsealed or leaky ductwork which have rippled to infiltration issues. Other situations can be far worse such as poor HVAC and ductwork installation leading to extensive microbial contamination as well as consumers who may suffer from an unusual or highly susceptible issue, arising from allergies and asthma difficulty. There are many common household cleaning chores or annual maintenance services that with our busy lives tend to often go unnoticed. However, these chores or maintenance services play a much larger role in reaching an overall solution and, when properly serviced may completely alleviate the feeling of need for an air duct cleaning. Simply stated, we find air duct cleaning is by far not the do all-end all of an indoor air quality improvement solution. At Diamond Quality Services our foremost mission is Service Beyond Expectation! To reach this goal for every customer we serve, the mission becomes our foremost solution. With that said we find it absolutely necessary to inspect every accessible area available, obtain pictures for documentation and formulate a solution with each customer. Finally, we make our recommendation to fit the specific want and need for each environment we serve. *Unfortunately for this member, he did not hire our company for the air duct cleaning. The tune up and "inspection" is the one and only time we were ever at this members home. In closing, the overall quality of indoor air is affected through a variety of collateral offsets, and not just the ductwork, or lungs, of the indoor living environment. Prior to any work being done in your home or office, with a Diamond Quality Service inspection you have absolute discovery and a formulated solution at your fingertips, before, you employ any of your good hard-earned resources to pay for a service that you may or may not need. Thank you for the opportunity to serve, Diamond Quality Services - Customer care

My house is cool now hanks to Diamond! I love them!! The only reason I gave them a B for punctuality was that they were late to the service call...but I got a call well in advance letting me know they were running behind. So professionalism gets an A+ in my book!

The technician did the check up and came up with a report that stated that everything was OK and that my units did not need any more Freon. It was a bit confusing to me as the other company that had come before it stated that it needed. Also he said the units are clean enough hence would not need any cleaning. So, in a way I paid the amount just to see if everything is fine whereas I expected at least to clean up the units. I think you can get these services easily for $39 easily so paid much more than I should have paid but since I had purchased the coupon I was bounded to use it. Honestly, it was not worth the big deal, I would be much more careful to buy such deals in the future as this is third time it has happened that I bought the big deal for a service that was over stated and under served.

Dear Member, Our documentation from the moment you contacted our company has revealed a few inaccuracies regarding the information you provided to us and other members and we will address them here. First, you'll remember when you called in and contacted our company you asked our receptionist what we charged per pound, for freon. You then commented that we have a special AC tune-up offer on Angie's list which actually includes up to 2 pounds of free freon per household. Our receptionist let you know that this was correct and that if for some reason you knew that your one system was not going to require any freon then you could maybe look at a different type of service call to address something specific you were looking for. After our receptionist tried to offer you some further assistance with your need, you told our receptionist no you wanted the Angie's list special offer for the full system check Supercool AC Tune-up. Although our ad specifically states that the special includes up to 2 pounds of freon per household if needed, it also specifically states that no cleaning is included or implied. What you didn't tell us is that you had another company come out prior to our service and THEY told you that you needed freon and that THEY told you that you needed some cleaning. You say in your review that you at least expected us to do some cleaning for you...why? again our offer specifically stated clearly that there was no cleaning included nor is it implied. It is completely clear, now, why you were asking what we charge for freon and it is clear to everyone, now, that you expected not only what the special offer included but also what the special offer did not include. Now lets look at the statement you made about $39: Why? if you could have got something like freon and cleaning services for the $39 you are claiming, then, why didn't you pursue it with the "other guys" that you had come out before you contacted us to perform a full system SuperCool AC tune-up. It makes no sense unless......you thought you really needed the freon and the cleaning THEY wanted to sell you. When we service a system we use professional equipment and we know what the manufacturer recommendations are for each system we service. We are thorough in our system checks, tune ups and evaluations, diagnosis, solutions and installations. Can we make a mistake of course, as anyone can, but if we do we don't cover it up. You obviously made a mistake and you seem desperate to cover it up. Maybe the only reason you think you have been receiving services from three different service providers and claim in your review that those services are over stated and under served is that you are trying way to hard, to pay for nothing that should actually cost you something, and therefore can't see the forest for the trees. To be clear: Why would you contact us, ask for information, purchase a special that clearly states what is and what is not included, schedule service with us, receive everything that is included and then afterwards downgrade us and try to make it appear to other members as if WE somehow mistreated you and then at the same time speak untruths regarding the big deals. I can't speak for other companies that you have dealt with in the past and won't try to however, based on the review you posted and the concise documentation we have on record I can only assume another duplication of the same unfavorable experience for you. Diamond Quality Services is a professional Heating, Air Conditioning, Energy Efficiency and Indoor Air Quality organization. We serve all members with integrity. Our company is both clear and concise in our service offerings. We have a passion to serve those in need of our expertise and problem solving capabilities while providing Service Beyond Expectation.

I selected Diamond Quality Service because they had good reviews on Angie's List. I would set the thermostat at 71 degrees but in the afternoon the house would even go as high as 80 degrees. I wanted someone that I could trust. I was very happy with the service. Brian identified the problem, the units were low on freon. He added freon and the units are functioning fine. I have the peace of mind that my a/c units are in good shape. I do not know about the cost as it is hard to compare just price without taking into account reliability.

Diamond Quality Services didn't do much, for the money I spent. I had problems with the air conditioner soon after that and another guy I got from Angie's List said Diamond Quality hadn't really done much. I was happy with them until we had some big problems, about three months after they were here. When the other company came out, they said it didn't look like they had checked very much, since I just had somebody out three months before and then I had some problems. That was his opinion, from the second company, that the first place hadn't done very much of a check on my unit. That's all I know, is from what these two different guys said. He acted like he was doing a lot, but he didn't seem to check everything out.
Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's Big Deal to get my air conditioning and furnace inspected. Under, the Big Deal, they were supposed to inspect my air ducts.

Dear Member, Thanks for your review of the service we provided you approximately one and one half years ago. You actually had purchased a comprehensive FURNACE (heating tune-up) for 55 dollars. What we provided was a comprehensive furnace tune-up and free air duct inspection for you in January of 2012. One of the owners of our company, Scott Peterson, provided you these services and ran the call himself at that time. Fortunately, we do not perform air conditioning tune-ups in January as it is one of the coldest months of the year in Texas and, we were not there to inspect your AC that month, but the heating furnace instead. We take pictures and document our findings if/when there any proposed solutions to be made. Everything was checked/inspected appropriately for you at that time. In your review you stated that we didn't do much. Again though, what we did was drive to your home for a scheduled appointment you made and, when we arrived on time we provided you with a comprehensive (heating) tune-up for 55 dollars as well as provided a free air duct inspection for you on the visit. It sounds like you had an issue with your AC (air conditioning system) three months later around the April/May timeframe based on your projections however, this is not unusual since that is approximately the time frame most people begin to use the AC and not their heat. We appreciate you asking us to check out your (heating system) in January of 2012 and, if we can be of assistance to you for anything related to your AC (air conditioning) in the future please give us a call. It's great to know that you are happy that you had no heating issues and or heating problems with your heater after our scheduled heating tune-up appointment. It sounds like it was money well spent after all. Diamond Quality Services Customer Care

We have a new house and a noisy HVAC system. Diamond inspected and advised the intake vents were too small and needed to be enlarged to avoid the noise problem. Unfortunately, the cost was $3000, which we declined. So we live with the noise.
Description of Work: Inspected; recommended bigger intake vents to solve the problem. Added freon.

I reviewed several providers before I picked Diamond Quality Services. I chose them because they seemed to focus more on the duct work than the ac, which is what I needed. The owner, Scott, came out and gave me a quote on the work. He itemized it so I had options. He was honest about the state of my ducts, but he wasn't an alarmist. He was obviously has a lot of knowledge about the ducts and the ac unit. FYI, he told me most ac companies will charge more for the duct work because they don't really want to do it. I have found this to be true. His quote was reasonable and I agreed with what he recommended. I set up a time the next week, their next open slot. They showed up exactly as scheduled. His workers are good, reliable, considerate, and hard working. It was a very hot day and they were up in the attic without even a fan from 8am to past 8pm. They stayed late to get the job done. Scott makes sure they are happy so they do good work and it shows. Scott showed up later in the day to check the work and talk to me. I know that the supplies and time required took longer than required by more than a little. Scott was very professional and stuck to his quote. A wire was stepped on during the insulation installation and Scott had to stay until 10:45pm to make sure he had found and fixed the problem and I was up and running. He is very conscientious and thorough. He clearly knew what he was doing around the ac unit itself, although it didn't need any work. He is exactly what you want in an owner and worker. I've already recommended him to my mom. I would use him again in a second.

Our downstairs unit suddenly stopped working. It simply would not respond to anything we did on the thermostat. We called Diamond. The lady on the phone was courteous and informative. She assured us that they would get the issue fixed. Within just a few hours they arrived. Our service person identified the problem in no time and even taught us a few maintenance tips. Absolutely stellar service. If only more service companies were like this!

The overall experience was excellent. They removed the coils and fan and requested my presence outside to view how they looked. They hadn't been cleaned in many years and were totally black. Once I went back inside they finished their work and asked me back outside to check them. They were like new pieces. They put the items back in the furnace, cleaned up after themselves inside and out.
