It was a great experience too to bottom hadnguys out two days after the contract was signed and even during the winter storm that closed everything for two days. Ben had guys out on Saturday to get my countertop and sink installed. My cabinets were completely refinished and look brand new, fixed all the plumbing issues with my sink and even the area around it. Installed a brand new sink, disposal and countertop. We were finally able to hook my refrigerator upto a water line and use the water function after years. Iâ m very blessed to have found such a good company to do the work. You will not be disappointed.

The contractor, Ben, came to our home. Within 30 minutes he had signed us to a contract to remodel our master bathroom starting the next morning. The remodel consisted of removing the shower, bathtub, vanity, and adding a open shower, a new smaller stand-alone vanity, a new tile floor, a pocket door between the bathroom and the walk-in closet, as well as sheet rocking and painting. The initial contract was $27,000. The destruction crew showed up the next morning and went to work. They found additional problems (termite and plumbing) that added $3,850 to the total. Then we found that the floor tiles we had replaced 5 years ago is no longer made, so the whole floor had to be redone, adding another $5800. So. what we paid for our remodel was $36,650, plus we had to buy all fixtures, accessories, and mirrors. We do love the overall look of our new bathroom; however, several issues still exist that were never taken care of.

I found this company on Angis list and thought you cannot go wrong but I was wrong. I was helping my mom find a contractor for a bathroom remodel she wanted and this company was the first one to respond and come out to give an estimate. My mom picked them without getting other estimates which were our first mistake. The original price increased tremendously and as the project progressed the specs of what was supposed to be done and what actually got done were two different things. This contractor is overpriced and the customer service starts out great but they come out whenever they want and with no notice. They leave you waiting and his answers kept changing. regardless of what we told him he was trying to remodel the bathroom how he wanted it. By the end of the project, my mom and I were beyond frustrated. The level of work is not worth the price tag attached. He charged prime real estate for cheap products. Check his google reviews I wish I would have done this before we let him start. Avoid at all costs and do not believe the hype when he tells you hes on Angis list again check his google reviews because they are true.

This company is really professional! They had our project done in a timely manner. Very detailed. Ben suggested things that we didnâ t even think about. Also, he helped with picking materials. Incredible job! We love our new bathroom! â ¤ï¸

Ben, Jessica and the crew were great. Even small areas garnered their attention. Painters, electricians, plumber and just the whole crew were fantastic!! This is a time when remodeling is in high demand and it would be easy for then to put off the work. They did not. They were consummately professionals.

We contacted Ben to have our back porch converted to a sunroom. After speaking with other contractors, we felt confident in Benâ s knowledge and professionalism to not only build the sunroom we desired, but that he would treat us with integrity and fulfill the terms of the contract. We did our homework and read his reviews on multiple sites, and at time the majority of them were good. Ben has an incredibly talented and professional crew, and our sunroom turned out beautiful. However, the manipulative actions on his part during the process just about broke the bank. About halfway into the job, we were informed of other â issuesâ that Ben told us would not pass code if not done and that he was â protecting himself.â When we expressed concerns about the additional expense that was not in our budget, Ben tried to persuade us to seek other financial means. These so-called â issuesâ were electrical mentioned by his brother-in-law, Simon, and they should have been noticed by Ben prior to ever starting the job. While we should have contacted the City to verify what we were being told, we trusted Ben as our contractor, only to determine at final inspection by the City that what Ben was stating to be necessary was actually a lie and just a way for him and his brother-in-law to pad the bill. In addition, the permits for construction totaled $296, and Ben presented a permit fee of $1500 with no explanation for the $1204 markup. Ben was a great communicator, but he frequently was not able to keep up with things and was obviously juggling too many jobs at once. He forgot details of the contract multiple times and became sloppy at the end of the project, so much so that he did not even come by the house to thank us for our business. He sent his office assistant, Jessica, to pick up the final payment who unfortunately had to endure our many complaints of being ripped off. She was very understanding and apologetic, stating she was unaware of the situation. I would strongly advise anyone using A Better Home Services to ensure your project is thoroughly checked out prior to proceeding, hold Ben accountable to the contract, and check with the City or another specialist prior to falling for his greedy manipulations. This is just a brief outline of the reasons that we feel taken advantage of. To actually itemize every instance of deception would require a much longer review.

Dishonest, To Ben a complete kitchen remodel doesnt include texturing or paint. Even when they took a wall down and made it into a half wall, we were told it wasnt in the hand written contract. He did not research the type of stove we were wanting and when it came in he to have us agree to cut into the side of it, which would have voided the warranty so that he could make it work. He wanted $23K to do additional work to paint the inside of my 1100 sq ft house. The people who work for him did a good job, but he is way over priced and not worth the hassle.

Work was quality and completed timely

I am very happy I selected A Better Home Remodel and Ben Sanchezâ s team of expert craftsmen. In the beginning of my fairly extensive remodel plan, Ben met with me and made several suggestions and I am very pleased I listened to him. My kitchen and both bathrooms are perfect and exactly what Iâ d hoped they could be. The crews are friendly and respectful of your property, The workmanship in each of the stages is top shelf and any issues I might have were immediately dealt with. Jessica, the project manager was helpful with ideas, selections and on the move constantly to insure work was moving on schedule. All said and done, I would recommend Ben and his folks for any home remodeling project.

Every person that came to our home to work on the bathroom was polite and courteous and did a wonderful job. They were a joy to work with. Ben responded to my countless text massages or phone calls in a timely manner and advised us on the best solution to satisfy our needs. The finished bathroom looks great. Everything was replaced even the subfloors. Plumbing, electrical, floors tiles, and paint, new tub, toilet and vanity all were done to our satisfaction. Some walls were moved when the linen closet was removed and it made our bathroom look and feel more spacious. I highly recommend A Better Home Services!

A great company that is legit

The owner of this company Ben Sanchez is a dishonest individual who does not honor his own signed contracts. He does not fulfill his contractual obligations. His manor is nice when attempting to secure your business but he cannot be trusted. His demeanor will change when confronted with keeping his obligations. His written contract quoted specific items to be included in the package and he tried to force something totally different on us. When we refused it, he demanded payment that he had already received in a cashiers check and would not acknowledge. Was forced to call police to remove him from our property. Having to take legal action against his company for breach of contract. Regardless of positive reviews, your experience can turn out to be as negative as ours. Our nightmare started in August 2020 and continues... Update: After two court rulings in our favor, with the most recent one being on January 3, 2023 we have settled this dispute with A Better Home Services based on the court judgement and to our satisfaction.

Ben was always there to answer my calls about any concerns or changes as the very large project on my home continued. His crew worked tirelessly and were always kind and considerate. My home looks beautiful and I would HIGHLY recommend this company!

You get what you pay for. A Better Homes is a top notch contracting company. Ben Sanchez and Jessica Walsh no how to coordinate the work and make sure that it gets done right. The crews that work for them are courteous and trustworthy. My wife and I are working people. Often times we were not able to be home during our three bathroom remodel. These guys would come in to our house when we were not there and get the work done. Not one time did I worry about theft, damage, or the work not getting done right. Ben and Jessica were always prompt and flexible when it came to answering questions, addressing unplanned issues that come up in construction, and offering ideas for a better result. The crews worked hard, often times 6 days a week to get the work done efficiently. They don't take any money from you until after the project begins. Ben is a man of his word and his men are honest. He believes and lives by a gentleman's handshake. He'll do what he says and he guarantees the work. I may have paid a little higher price but it is worth having piece of mind with workers in your home and knowing the job got done right.
