This project could have easily been a 4.5+ review. Project started with a couple of meetings with Ben on the scope of work. Prior to actually beginning I identified a water leak that was later attributed to a leak in the piping coming out of the slab and this caused an increase in scope and cost, no problem there. During the demolition it was identified that due to water issue and house age there were some mold, termites and mildew issues that needed to be resolved (which Ben had stated could possibly occur and caused additional work and cost). During the early stages of the remodel things went well. Where I feel things turned was on the lack of (quality control) during the construction of the shower rebuild and it then became my responsibility to manage quality. Due to this some areas of the shower remodel quality were less than expected During the shower remodel, finishing touches and cleanup, team members showed up less frequently and for less hours and in my estimation the project could have finished at least a work week or more earlier. There were several days no one showed up at all and some days they came late in the day (I can only assume they were working on another project). Due to a lack of effective communicated scheduling, productivity was lost from our perspective. Workers would show up unannounced when we were not there to enable or arrange access. We would also try to be available in lost anticipation of someone showing up to finish the last stages of the project. Things to note; 1. Get an itemized costed at line item level estimation rather that a list of activities with one bottom line cost. 2. Understand what is meant by the Honor System method of payment, after the fact I should have requested a payment schedule based on certain % completion/milestones and agreed payments at those points. Ben's customer service was good until the later phases when he got sick and was unavailable.

They were knowledgeable, capable and with a four man crew, finished the job in one day. They were careful with the large antique furniture that had to be moved. The workers were pleasant and polite. They are the best - came immediately to do a free estimate, very reasonably priced, two days later started on my home repairs and completed every little detail in 3 days. Completely cleaned up all the construction trash and removed it. High quality work. The repairmen were very courteous and polite, friendly and really good people. Ben Sanchez is a great man and A Better Home Services is a great company. I will definitely call them anytime I need any type of home repair - they are an amazing group of people and honest, hard working men. Most of all, you can trust these gentlemen to do a fabulous job - they are honest and very skilled. A 5 star rating is just not enough - I give them a 10.

Well pleased with the job. They did a good job and did it pretty fast.

Their work is excellent, fast and professional. I was very satisfied with them. Not only did they remodel 2 bathrooms but they did some roof repairs as well.

A Better Home Services did an excellent job with our shower model. They were quick, efficient and easy to work with. Also our new shower looks fabulous! I will definitely be calling them for future remodels we have planned.

The service was great. The work was performed well and very quickly - they finished sooner than expected. Ben was very professional and helpful and knew the best way to handle the repairs we needed. Other than a couple of very small things that we found after the workers left, everything met or exceeded our expectations. But I'm confident they will correct these small items when made aware of them. Overall, we are very happy with the work done and highly recommend A Better Home Services.

If you had a 0 rating, that's what I would rate. Rude with customer, hiked up the price to a random number knowing that this was an urgent matter. Never gave us a receipt for the job even though we are still requesting to please send us the receipt as we need it for our insurance :-(

Excellent experience. Very professional, friendly craftsman! After this project we had them do I complete master bath remodel & we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome & experience. Fernando, Arturo & Ishmael our lead guys & the were amazing craftsman & people. Great communication w Ben & Noah. They are very accessible and have great follow up. Happy we found them! We will definetly use again & highly reccomend.

I was told by Ben that he 100% guaranteed his work. now and forever. However, during the installation of the large piece of granite that was the back wall of the shower, the workmen dropped the granite and chipped the bathtub (that was already installed). They finished installing all the granite walls and left the chipped bathtub. Ben refused to replace the damaged bathtub and instead painted over the chip. This was totally unacceptable. Unfortunately we had already paid him the final installment, otherwise we wouldn't have completed the payment. I was unhappy then and I am unhappy now.

Overall pleased with the shower and follow up on issues. Project took a bit longer than projected but that may have been due to suppliers.

Ben Sanchez took great care to help us decide on what we needed to remodel two bathrooms and update a kitchen. He is very knowledgeable and careful to cover all bases in meeting your needs. I recommend him highly.

Ben (the owner) answered my initial call on the first ring. He was very polite, knowledgable, and acted interested in my project from the get-go. He was able to come to my home that very afternoon for the introductory consultation and planning session. He arrived exactly on time with his son Noah who is the project manager. They were very friendly and listened to our plans. They did not talk down to us and actually offered better suggestions. Originally we were only going to do a very modest bathroom re-do not to cost more than $10K In the end they presented well thought out suggestions and we ended up doing something about twice as much. But we feel in the long run that was more in keeping with what we really wanted and will add greatly to the resale value of the house when are ready to go. All in all, they are very prompt, courteous, have done beautiful work and we did not feel we were overcharged. Great company to do business with.

Ben was great to work with. I had a general idea of what and how I wanted for my master bathroom. Ben shared his experience and made some very good recommendations. He is also willing to tell me if my idea does not worth the money. Fenadando and his brother have great workmanship. Thourough and pay attention to every little details. They also made great effort to keep the work area clean. The whole team did not just work for us, they worked with us. I love this friendly and professional crew and will entrust with all my future projects.

Really high quality work, efficiently and -neatly!- done. Our project was spelled out by contract before starting work and there were no surprises, and no corners cut. The various crews we have had are all obviously professionals who have been with the company a long time, and take pride in their work.
