My husband and I are currently expecting our first child. (I am two months along). We hired D2aK and paid them over $5,000 – which was every penny we had saved – to get rid of rats in our attic. Rat droppings are always dangerous, but especially dangerous for a pregnant woman and her unborn child. The $5,000 included having the house sealed, a complete clean-up of the attic, and replacing the insulation. After the insulation was replaced, the employees told me that I should notice an improvement after 2-3 weeks. I was still hearing rats clawing and scratching above my ceiling after 4-6 weeks, and I let them know that I was still hearing noises. Every person I talked to said I must be “hearing things,” and they were very insulting. We finally figured out that an entire wall of my house had not been sealed. After they finally sealed the wall, my husband found THREE rats’ nests in our attic – which means our attic wasn’t ever cleaned or disinfected properly. Once it started getting colder outside, we also realized that the insulation was not installed correctly because it was blocking the flow of air from our a/c vents, and our electric bill was $100 more than it usually is. If you have a complaint, they will be condescending and defensive instead of acknowledging and fixing the problem. We set an appointment to have the insulation fixed, and they never showed up. We tried calling, I wrote an e-mail, I left messages, and I never got a response or a reply from anyone. My husband got into the crawl space and discovered their employees had completely crushed our metal ducts, and that's why our heater wasn't working. He spent hours fixing the damage they caused. The address on their website is a house in a residential neighborhood where we were greeted by several dogs and a lady named “Jennifer” who had never heard of D2aK. (The owner's name is Kimberly Rodriguez.) This company is a SCAM. The “Customer Satisfaction Guarantee” on their website is a complete lie. We are completely unsatisfied, and this is the worst experience we have ever had from a company we hired to help us. They knew that we paid them every penny we had saved, they knew we are expecting a child, and they still ripped us off RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. They are definitely not the Christian family they claim to be. I hope anyone reading this will hire someone else so they can avoid the horrific experience that we had.
