It was a very bad experience

It went reasonably well at first although there were areas where sloppy work was done. I was told several times that the system belonged to me and St John Sprinkler for a year so I felt confident that all problems would be fixed. There were several areas where the sprinkler did not cover at all or did not cover adequately and that was the main problem. After one area was corrected the tech returned several times in regard to the other problem areas and would tell me he could not do anything without an ok from the boss. I was told the boss would be out the next day, but he did not come. The next time I was told the office would call for an appointment, but they did not phone. The next appointment I made was for a Friday afternoon and no one came or called. The last appointment I made I specifically requested a time when the boss would be able to show up and was given a 9:00 am on a Thursday. Once again no one came or phoned. That is the last time I spoke to them. They obviously were giving me the runaround and had no intention of correcting the probems. It left me with a very disappointed feeling in the company I had hired.

They were quick to respond and check out my problem, but had to order parts so they returned another day and performed the work quickly and professionally.

I called on or about 15 Mar 11 to make an appointment to troubleshoot our lawn sprinkler system which had some zones not working. An appointment was made for the morning (between 0900-1200) of 22 Mar 11. At about 1030 on 22 Mar I called to see when the technician would arrive. I was told that they were running a little behind but would be there within the hour. At about 1300 I called back to see where the technician was. I was told that their current job was running longer and they would be there soon. Technician arrived about 1600. Troubleshot the irrigation system for about 15minutes, said I needed a new valve but that he did not have one on the truck. They would have to get one. I should call office and make another appointment. I rescheduled the work for 29 Mar (0900-1200). At about 1000 on 29 Mar I called to see where the technician was. Was informed that they went to get the part that morning but supplier did not have and it would have to be ordered. It would take a day or two to get it. A third appointment was made for 1 Apr 11 (0900-1200). i called about 1030 on 1 Apr 11 to inquire when the technician might arrive. Received abrasive return call from owner who said they were very busy and that technician would be there as soon as current job was completed. Technician arrived right about 1200 and installed new valve and replaced defective solenoid. Work, when finally accomplished was done satisfactorily but it was a real pain getting it done because they were not punctual, did not plan ahead well, and could not keep to their scheduled appointment times nor keep customer informed.

Didn't call sprinkler companies until it was their busy season - the beginning of spring - so had to wait a couple of weeks for an appt. The faucet on the outside of my house had frozen and burst over the winter and I had just shut off the water supply to my irrigation system. They came out ready to fix it, but entire faucet and outside pipe needed to be replaced. The repairman said the company would call that afternoon to set up another appointment because he did not have the correct tools to do it on the spot. Company did not call until the next week and couldn't send him back out until the following week. When he returned, the work was done very efficiently. He made sure each zone was working properly and walked me around to show me there were no other leaks. He also made sure that all of the little scraps were picked up and disposed of.
