It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He did a great job. He gave me recommendations on a couple of things to do if it were his house because we had birds in the chimney. It was not a high pressure sell and he left me a bid. He gave me a couple of different options. We haven't had any birds since then. He was very professional and on time.

Provider showed up on time for estimate and gave a thorough inspection of the chimney and surrounding area. Gave his opinion which was that the chimney was good, along with the mortar and flashing, but recommended sealing the chimney. After getting a few other estimates that recommended the same thing, we went with him because his seemed very honest and straightforward. The tech showed up on time as promised, worked around my schedule, did the work exactly for the estimated price and even went above and beyond on a few things. Very pleased with the price and service.

I was getting rain down my chimney in hard storms. They came out and priced a new chimney cap and offered to 'seal' my bricks around the chimney. I was hesitant on the sealant and offered him $100 under his sealing price. I think it was around $250 originally. They agreed to the lower price. Ended up being around $650 for the cap and $150 for the sealing. I wasn't home when they did the work, but watched via my CCTV system later that day. Looks like he did some repair to my crown, but I use the term loosely. He mixed up some quickcrete and applied it to the cracked crown. He also dropped a lot of it on my roof shingles and gutters. He then secured the new chimney cap to the chimney. This looks to be as described by the web site. Then, he used a hand pump/sprayer and lightly sprayed the 'sealant' around the chimney bricks. He did this all from the roof so I have a hard time seeing how he could have actually 'coated' the entire chimney because my chimney is large and you couldn't reach around it. I think the sealant was a waste of money. I'm just glad I only gave him $150 instead of $250. So, skip the spray, but the chimney caps seem good and it was installed fast. It HAS reduced the rain that gets in, but didn't 100% stop it.

The service was good. Everything went well, it was good. They were fine and did good work. I had no problem.

It went great. We had two different service people come out to provide this service, one a chimney specialist and the other who did all kind of services for the company. The chimney specialist arrived promptly at the scheduled time and asked to inspect the fireplace before bringing equipment into the house. After a quick inspection he proceeded back to his vehicle and gathered all the tools and tarps that he needed to complete the job. He completely tarped the front and sides of the fireplace so that any stray soot or ash that was dislodged during the cleaning process was captured on the tarps and not our carpet. He used a number of different brushes and wands and a vacuum to remove all the crud in the chimney that had accumulated during the previous owners usage of the fireplace. He worked quickly and was very courteous. After completing the inside work he went up on the roof to work on the chimney cap and upper part of the chimney. He made sure that everything up top was clean and in it's proper place, then returned inside to complete the cleaning process and pack up his equipment. He took the time to show me the inside of the chimney and pointed out where there had been deposits of creosote which he removed and suggested ways to prevent buildup from returning. I was very satisfied with the job he did and the condition hat he left the work area in. The other gentleman that came out to clean the dryer vent was prompt and courteous as well. He was surprised and delighted to find the dryer had not been installed yet as we were still in the process of moving in. He also set up a tarp to catch any lint or other materials that the vacuum might miss. He used a powered brush to scrub all of the lint off of the vent walls. He also went up on the roof to clean the vent cap which had captured quite a bit of lint and actually looked like it had grey moss hanging from it. He did a great job of cleaning and gave us a good feeling that we much better off in avoiding potential dryer fires. He removed quite a large amount of lint which was probably hampering the previous owners ability to dry clothes quickly and efficiently. I am delighted with the service that we received and feel that the price was quite reasonable for the amount of peace of mind that the service provided.

I ask the contractor to leave and I called Angie and got my money back. I was told that the job could be done by one man and that did not happen. I am glad that Angie got my money back for me.

The technician that came out was very helpful and clean. He made sure to cover everything before he started working. He also made sure that he cleaned up after. He noticed that my fire box on my fire place was cracked and he told me what I needed to repair. He was a very nice young man, he seemed to be knowledgeable about my fire place. I would use them again in the future.

He came on time. After he was done , the chimmney looks like it was when we originally bought the house. He cleaned after himself. The work was done professionally.

Mike, the technician, called prior to arrival and arrived exactly when promised. He was very friendly; he reviewed where the fireplace was inside, the chimney access outside and then got to work. He took care to put down a cloth on my floor and made sure all was clean before he left. He told me my firebox back panel has a small crack in it and that it was not urgent to replace it - he just wanted me to know about it; he was not pushy at all about it at all; he gave me a quote on replacement. Very nice experience.

Great service technician, friendly. Came out originally to do just dryer vent cleaning and chimney sweep. After completing the dryer vent, he noted that the chimney cap needed to be replaced and the mortar around my chimney had cracks and a leak had started. Inside the fireplace you can tell where some of the water was building up behind the bricks. He recommended I replace my existing small chimney cap - currently just keeping the birds and squirrels out and replace with entire chimney cap cover. I agreed and he special ordered my size and came back 3 days later to install new chimney cap and then do the chimney sweep. new I'm so glad he found the leak before any more damage could be caused. Would certainly do business with them again!

Our damper seemed to have serious problems and we needed a chimney cap. When Master came out to quote the work Michael Newman looked at the damper and determined that all it needed was a piece of mortar removed and we needed to be shown how to close it properly. Our refurbished gas logs and cap look great. I'm not sure waterproofing our brick was needed, I've always though brick was made that way. They came out promptly for the quote and the new chimney cap was ready quicker than I expected. Overall we're very happy with the work.

Everything went really well from the EARLY arrival of our "Chimney Sweep" to the end of his visit. He was friendly, polite, just plain fun! Assessed the situation, explained what he needed to do, covered whatever needed to be covered to protect it from ash, and began his work. He kept us updated on all that was happening and what needed to happen. He was very thorough, and when everything was finished, he made certain that everything was restored to "better than before" cleanliness! Grateful to be able to use our fireplaces again, and thrilled with the new knowledge that we now have as homeowners concerning our fireplaces and our chimneys! Everything was great. The serviceman was friendly and prompt for both appointments. He answered all questions we had about our fireplaces (we just recently purchased our home). He showed us the most affordable choices for repairs, even suggesting that we perform some ourselves.

After cleaning the dryer vent, he wanted to look on the roof around the chimney, &then showed me photos of the proposed work on the chimney. I agreed to the work & he completed it satisfactorily.
