Description of Work: These guys put a chimney cap on the chimney, applied waterproofing to the brick and sealed the flashing. They were very professional and extremely knowledgable. Loved their quick estimates delivered online. I really appreciated the thoroughness and detailed knowledge they brought to the table. Unlike other companies that came out to bid on the job, these guys knew their stuff. They were quick and professional.

Description of Work: Called because Angie's list said they covered the "Entire Area." This is vague, and in fact, they don't cover Waxahachie, Texas, about 30 minutes south of Dallas. Why not make it clearer as to areas covered as other companies do? The woman I spoke with apologized and was professional.

Description of Work: They incorrectly diagnosed the problem with our gas fireplace. Estimated the cost of parts & labor to repair approx. $900! I contacted another company & they fixed the problem by cleaning the pilot light assembly. Total cost was $159.

Description of Work: We knew we needed some birds chased out of our chimney and a chimney cap installed to keep them away. While inspecting the chimney, the rep from Masters Services noticed the beginnings of water damage and pointed out the beginning of problems with the flashings around where the chimney connect to the roof. The fixed these before they became worse. Great service and very, very nice people with whom to work!

Description of Work: He came out to look at my leaky chimney. He was on time and very professional and knowledgeable. Fixing the crown was reasonable but the cap he offered was 1500.00. I chose to use A Better Chimney because he is local and also my neighbor recommended him.

+ 1 moreHe seemed honest, but I thought the price of cleaning the dryer vent which was the same price as the chimney, was pretty high. He also was messy with the dryer vent lint- he blew out into the back yard and didn't bother to pick it up. The trash can in the basement where the dryer is, was on the floor and I don't know why he couldn't have picked that up either.
Description of Work: I asked this company to give me a second opinion on the supposed broken lining. He said he saw nothing, and he cleaned the chimney. He seemed honest. I also asked him to clean the dryer vent.

+ 1 moreVery professional service. The technician arrived when he said he would; he detailed the estimate; very friendly and knowledgeable. The previous homeowner had sealed the inside of my chimney's (2 each) with sheet metal and in order for him to perform a complete inspection, the technician removed them for no extra charge. The repair time was fast and complete and did not exceed the estimate. Excellent work! I would use them again!
Description of Work: Had inspection and repairs performed on two fireplaces/chimneys. Installed 2 each dampers, 2 each chimney caps, waterproofing, lintel packing, and tuck points.
