We entered Haverty's and we told the salesman we wanted a firm mattress because of medical conditions for our parents' backs. He showed us all of the options and we relied on the salesman's expertise to help us find a firm mattress. It took 3 deliveries to get the correct bed-frame to our home. They forgot the mattress cover on the first delivery. After almost a month, the bed was not firm at all and our parents found themselves sinking into the mattress. I called and spoke with the assistant manager who asked me to speak with the salesman. The salesman said they want their customers to be comfortable and happy. He said we'd have to bring my dad back to the store to select a new mattress. The salesman said there'd be a restocking fee and he worked out the price difference and said he'd speak to the manager to set up a delivery date for the new mattress. Several days later, we heard back from the salesman. He said the manager wanted to send someone out to the house to inspect the mattress to make sure it was defective. The technician said this mattress is not a firm mattress but there were no defects. The salesman assured us he would call us back on June 1 after he spoke to the manager. However, the salesman never called. Therefore, we called him back and he said he couldn't really talk to us. We asked him to transfer us to the store manager and he said he couldn't do that. He said we should call the store back and ask to speak with the manager. I spoke with the manager and explained the situation. He said that after 3 days they cannot exchange a mattress. He said occasionally they'll accept an exchange after 4 or 5 days. The manager said he wasn't sure why the salesman told us we could exchange the bed with a restocking fee. The manager said they could not exchange it and did not want it back. The manager also said he did not know why the salesman told us to bring my father back to select a new mattress. The manager reiterated the 3 day exchange policy. After a lengthy discussion, the manager did agree to exchange the mattress and box spring. The new bed and box spring were delivered but now the box spring is damaged. The store manager over charged us on sales tax. Our concern is that what we were told by the salesman is not backed up by the manager. During my initial conversation with the salesman and assistant manager, I would've appreciated it if they would've informed me of the 3 day exchange policy. That would've prevented the ongoing calls for the next several weeks.

We purchased 2 recliners from Havertys 4 years ago. The mechanics of the chairs had a lifetime guarantee. We also bought a 5 year service plan for anything else that might need repairs. We had a failure of the reclining hardware recently. We contacted Havertys and were referred to the service provider. Turns out that the hardware needed replacing but was no longer available. Havertys tried to find a replacement but the style was no longer made. Havertys issued us a credit to replace both chairs do we would have a matching pair.

It went very good, I was pleased that they repaired the sofa and love seat on 2 separate occasions after the warranty was out at no charge.
Description of Work: We had some handles on our recliners that were broken after the year warranty, but they came out and repaired it at no charge.

The selection is varied, the staff is professional and very helpful (especially Candi), the furniture quality is good and reasonably priced--sale prices are even better. The delivery truck was on time and the men were very, very careful when they brought the furniture in the house. I would definitely look at Haverty's again if I need furniture.
Description of Work: I purchased a sofa, two recliner chairs, a dining room table and six chairs set, plus a server.

We searched a number of stores for a sideboard we liked, and ended up getting one from Haverty's at Lakeline Mall. Their prices are reasonable, no better or worse than anyone else's that I could tell. The delivery guys were careful about not damaging the new furniture or anything else in my house.
Description of Work: Sold and delivered a sideboard.
