Andys Sprinkler Drainage & Lighting

They were professional from start to finish. First they put the sprinkler in test mode for each of its area and observed coverage, what each head was doing, etc. and provided recommendations from their findings. They made a recommendation of laying down two 6' section of pipe for additional rose garden coverage and quoted me the time it will take and the cost of the parts. They also quoted me approximate amount of time to address the remaining issues and the cost of the parts as well. I accepted and they went to work. These were two guys that worked very hard the entire duration. It took roughly 1.5 hrs of labor to address all items including digging about 12' of trench to bury the new piping! They were very careful to remove and replace the sod as it was so you really coudn't tell where they dug. They also walked me through the control panel and I found out that the previous owner had A&B programs which I did not recognize. They educated me on how much time each zone should get and when to water. They guided me on scenarios when city changed its watering restrictions. I was very very pleased form start to finish. The bonus is that their truck comes fully equipped so any part that you would potentially need is at the job site.

First, I appreciate the fact Andy's irrigation agreed to fulfill the angie's list deal neglected by Cody Irrigation. I also only went with a D on pricing because the guide said C was fair and I can't say the pricing was fair so I had to go with D when I leaned toward C... I was able to schedule my big deal full system irrigation system inspection and minor repair service promptly and Brett and his crew showed up as expected. Overall my experience with Brett and his crew from Andy's was very good and I think the company did good work. That being said, we started off the interaction with a discrepancy on whether or not raising the heads was included and he mentioned they expected labor to raise heads. Ultimately, he did raise the heads as expected and as part of the big deal, but initially mentioned it would not be included. His crew quickly tested all zones, marked all problem areas, and began work on adjusting the defective heads. We found a defective head and the crew replaced it promptly. I also requested quotes for rain/freeze sensor installation, a drainage pipe installation, and a home lighting solution. I ended up having him install two rain/freeze sensors which I do believe were installed well. As others have mentioned before me on Angie's List, the service and professionalism was great but the price was pretty egregious. I didn't realize it at first, but the two sensors kits he sold me are going for between $59-$80 each (new) online/ebay and they charged me $155 each. Plus, they charged me for a minimum of 1 hour labor for installation, when it took about 30 minutes. I understand they need to make money on the services and parts but 100%+ markup on retail for parts plus $95/hr rate for about 30-40 minutes of work makes for a pretty expensive installation of wireless sensors most homeowners could easily install themselves. Again, I do appreciate the work they do and it is hard to find a pretty good irrigation crew, but pricing was high....also more than double for the replacement pop up head. Would recommend them if pricing was not an issue as they are clearly very experienced and professional and I may use them again in the future, but would strongly urge some pricing adjustments to make sure their customers are getting the best value for their money. I am all for them making a decent profit, but do feel I overpaid in retrospect Thanks for the good work and hope to see your pricing become more competitive in the future. By the way, I mentioned I also asked for a quote on a yard drain and a home lighting solution and have since found both quotes to be priced pretty high against equally rated Angie's List competitors.

My email request for service was answered promptly. An appointment was set at my convenience. The crew arrived early, checking first that their timetable was OK with me. Diagnosis of the problem was instantaneous and was confirmed by direct inspection of in-ground fittings. (The team was obviously well experienced in these matters.) The needed in-ground replacement fittings were on the truck, and the recommendation was that I buy one replacement lighting housing at a local supply store so that the team could return and install it. Because the repairs took little of the basic-charge time, the crew installed the housing for the same service charge--that is, with no additional charge for the return to my house. The lighting system now works perfectly.From scheduling through diagnosis of the problem, to completion of the project, this company's staff and crew were cordial, accommodating, professionally skilled, meticulously honest, and outstandingly responsible, with the result that this was a top-flight service experience.

They were very thorough and professional. They also showed me how to run the system even though the automatic timer was malfunctioning. I chose not to replace the timer at that time due to the amount of the expense.

Fast excellent work. First their planner came in and figured out best placement and routing - even with some cost-saving suggestions, then the crew arrived and did the work. Whole job done in just a day (and not a small backyard). We have them come out once a year and check and tune our system. Easily save that cost and more in lower lawn maintenance and water fees.

They were at the house on time, got the work done in a short time. Were very efficient and had some ideas for the system, but we were not interested in putting money into the system at that time. There was a crew of three and they finished the inspection and repairs in about 45 minutes. It was a good experience.

They did a great job of getting my very old sprinkler running like new so I can stop watering the neighbor's yard and the street! Andrew called enroute, arrived on time punctualy, and was extremely polite throughout the process. They were done with the job in a short time and I was very pleased with the outcome. Great experience and will definitely use them again. I contacted them two days ago and they were able to fit me into a 2-hour window for the team to show up. The scheduler is extremely polite and she was good enough to confirm the appointment the day before. Matthew showed up with his teammate (I didn't get his name) during the prescribed time. Both were extremely polite and professional. Andy's sends the crews out with everything they could possibly need for any repairs. They immediately identified the faulty valves and began replacement. The work they did was perfect and done perfectly. They made sure the nest of wires were all stripped and reattached with orange caps and grease fittings. I asked them to replace the shutoff valves since it was pretty old and one of the valves had rusted off. The work was impeccable. They removed all debris and placed a nice bottom of aggregate for draining. Matthew then ran through the system and spent about 30 minutes adjusting sprinkler heads for optimum coverage. We decided to replace a few of the front nozzles with newer ones that allow multiple spray patters. We also decided to replace a few posts with pop-ups so I don't have to worry about driving over them with a lawnmower. He set the timer up on the automatic system and then we checked the system for leaks. This is a nice bonus. With the water meter exposed, we could verify that their were no leaks in the house. Matthew was very patient as I asked tons of questions while he worked. Overall, very pleased and will definitely use them again. The hardware they use is a little spendy, but they make up for it with efficient crews.

I was extremely pleased with the work. The job manager, Luis, was very good. He did an excellent job of keeping me informed of the progress and allowing me to weigh in on any decisions rather than just proceeding without asking. His team worked very hard and efficiently, and the clean-up was very thorough. Pricing and promptness were also very good. I will definitely call Luis next time I have any irrigation needs.

The Service I got from Andy's Sprinkler was outstanding. Mathew was punctual, friendly, and efficient. They found a number of sprinkler heads needing either adjustments or replacement and completed them all within a :15 minute time-frame and charged accordingly. I have already recommended Andy's to a few people I know.

They did exactly what I aked them to do ... Are dog like jumping in the sprinkler and broke a few heads and others needed to be re-adjusted. They told me what they were going to do and did it...

Our new home has some sprinkler issues on the inspection so we had Andy's come out to take care of them. They replaced numerours sprinkler heads and repaired a leak at the main, and replaced the rain/freeze sensor with a new wireless product. The crew was very knowledgeable and did their work quickly and neatly. This is the second time I have used them and will continue to in the future. They also so landscape lighting so we will be calling to get an estimate on that as well.

The job started as a "tune-up", but after evaluation it was clear that more was needed in this case. The contractor assessed the complete system, identied changes needed, and provided an estimate for needed work. I agreed with the plan, and the work was done the next day. After completion of the upgrade, all circuits were tested, and I had the opportunity to verify that irrigation coverage was as expected. I found one area where coverage seemed insufficient, and another sprinkler head was added to correct the problem at no additional cost. All work was done efficiently and professionally, and the area was left clean.

The service, overall, went very well. Very nice guys and very professional and prompt. Only complaint I have is that we had to call them back 2 times because they missed a few heads that were not replaced when they should have been. However, they came back, replaced them and didn't charge us extra since it should have been done the first time. We will continue to use them.

Left a message after hours and was called back first thing on the next business day. Scheduled an appoinment and was explained how they worked, how much the charged etc.. Workers showed up on time. Fixed my sprinkler problems and were on their way in no time. Very knowledgable and professional. Would highly reccomend. Everything as promised.
