I was very satisfied.

Everything went better than expected. He's got a crew of workers that worked incredibly hard. They showed up right on time every morning (the job took about 5 days), and stayed late a few days as needed. I got tired just watching them go nonstop for that long. You're probably not going to get the lowest bid going with Midcities Irrigation, but from what I've learned, going cheap with contractors just gives you tons of grief and headaches and in a lot of cases ends up costing you more money to rework a project. These guys know what they're doing, and they're going to do it right.

I called assuming that I had a wire cut, when the person arrived (Sorry I don't remember the name) he explained that he did not see a wire cut, but did notice that there were some problems with the pipes within the system itself. He promptly repaired it then performed a walkthrough to verify the system was working correctly. There were several minor issues, a couple of valves that needed replacing and some realignment, replacing and expanding of some sprinkler heads. I cannot speak to larger installations, but for repair I can say that I was extremely satisfied with the presentation,professionalism and promptness of the staff. I feel that the price was fair if not a little low (did I just say that, duh).

I would definitely recommend them to anybody. They were very knowledgeable in what they were doing and the guys working for them were very good. I didn't get any other bids because I liked the owner that came out and he was very thorough and obviously knowledgeable about the area. I don't know if it was a good price or not but I am happy.

They did a big job for me. They added some zones to my sprinkler system and put in a new front lawn. They were excellent and did a good job. I would recommend my family and friends to call them. I thought they were a little pricey, but, I should have gotten other prices, and it was probably applicable to the job they did. I give them high ratings and would use them again in the future.

Our back yard was muddy and would not dry out. I called Mid-Cities Irrigation for help. Darrell Bishop, owner, came out and assessed the situation. He recommended French Drains and gave me an idea of what they cost. This was in February and he told me his guys hadn't had much work that winter and he would do it at a discounted rate so we agreed. Work started the next day and was complete the day after. Since then, the yard has drained nicely. Moving on to September 2010, Tropical Storm Hermaine hammered us pretty good. I was working in Amarillo at the time and my wife was at home when the water came in through the kitchen and dining room. With the help of our son, they vacuumed up about 100 gallons of water and pulled up carpet. When I got home a few days later, I called on Darrell again. I won't go into too much detail about what all he did to remedy the situation, but suffice it to say they did a terrific job and I've had no more problems. I think what impressed me most about Darrell is how we stood in the neighbors driveway discussing price, and when I told him I had just replaced my a/c system a few months earlier, he lowered his price and we shook hands then and there. The work was completed the next day. These are my "go to" guys when it comes to this kind of work!

Choosing the irrigation company was easy because so many of the foundation and gutter companies that I called highly recommended Mid-Cities Irrigation to do that part of the job. They were right, this must be the best irrigation company in Texas. They took the time to analyze and understand the various issues we were having, proposed solutions we hadn't considered (lowering the cost of the work), were prompt, professional and courteous. The underground pipe was approx. 5 feet deep and ran the span of our yard. It was completed in less than a day and they did such a good job filling and replacing the turf that it was difficult to see where the pipe had gone into the ground. No surprises in expense, only in how much quality work we received for our money.

He installed a total of 6 new drains, running two of them to the street and boring a hole through the curb in the process. It was a complicated job, involving tying into existing drains and adding new in the process. He fixed the work by adding new sod to areas that had been extensively dug up. He even came back to fix a few irrigation heads that had been reinstalled backwards. He was always prompt, thorough and professional. I highly recommend Darrell and his team and Mid Cities!

Mid-Cities provided a very specific quote which they honored in terms of the work completed and the cost of the job. They responded promptly to questions and phone calls prior to the start of the job. They arrived on-time and the work was completed very professionally. The utilities were tagged and necessary city requirements met well in advance of the start of the job (unlike the company we used as mentioned above for the french drain where they actually dug through cable because they had not met the necessary requirements). Mid-Cities removed all our existing sod, laid the irrigation system, and laid new sod that was healthy and a type more conducive to the shade conditions of our yard. They carefully explained the operation of the system and took us on a walk-through after completing the job. The clean-up was also above expectations -- it was not at all evident that recent work had even been done. This company even repaired a recently installed french drain installed by another company that did a very poor job and left us with more problems that we had originally. Now the french drain works properly as well and we have no standing water anywhere in the yard. The grass is growing thick and beautifully and is ready to be cut for the first time. I cannot say enough good things about this company -- their personal service, professionalism, and the superb quality of their work -- they are outstanding. We are so happy with our lawn and our new system. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone interested in lawn irrigation and/or sod.

Darrell and crew did an excellent job. They are very thorough and informative. We would definitely use them again.

They did a GREAT job! Darrell, the owner, came and gave the estimate, which took about 10 minutes. I scanned our lot survey and emailed to them so they could draw up the plans to submit to the city for permits. The city approved the plans and came out to mark all of the underground electrical and plumbing. A few days later, Darrell called and scheduled the installation. The crew showed up exactly on time and finished that same day. I couldn't believe how thorough they were...they went above and beyond my expectations. A few days after the installation, I noticed three "stems" were spraying on our wooden siding, which would eventually rot. They came out and changed the heads to pop-ups instead of stems and moved them a little further from the house. Everything is great now. I would recommend Mid-Cites Irrigation to anyone.

They were highly recommended from another company that couldn t find the problem. It took about eight hours to complete the job but the wires were hard to locate. The parts were included in the price.

I wasn't home, but they left me a bill and repaired a leak in the front yard, not the back, which is what I called them for. I found out later that the back wasn't fixed, so I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!
