They were very professional. They got the job done in a matter of 3 days. I will use them again. The owner knows what he is doing.

It took 2 hours to find zone 4, the parts replaced were double the new price found online, tech said he had to charge the 4.5 hrs at $100.00 an hour. Plus the zone 4 valve replaced was left uncovered with the wires sticking out above the ground. I had asked the tech if he was going to check out the placement of the heads, which he said yes; he changed one head - didn't adjust any that I saw. I had to adjust all of them this morning.

I was willing to pay fair price of probanbly $600-$800 but not blindly commit to base charge.

My neighbor recommended them & after turning on system & having one sprinkler head hitting, I gave them a call. My original system is about 20 years old & then it was modified when my pool was built 10 years ago. I normally have tried to take care of it myself, but replacing heads was a hassle, because I could never find a comparable part at the local home improvement stores. I noticed another review that thought they were pricey, but I thought I got a bargain. I've got 8 stations, they checked out all, adjusted all heads & replaced 5 heads with the original Rainbird parts. I'm a satisfied customer

Darrall brought his team and they worked consistantly to take down the Rock Wall and remove the tree within the time quoted. They did an excellent job and a great clean up. The problem should be fixed now that the rain should have a path to flow and no wall to impead. The invoice was exactly as quoted. What a great experience!

I had to get 3 trees removed first as they abutted the front step. Most of the sidewalk from street to house sloped downward to the front step/house creating a lake every time it rained. The new sidewalk no longer directs water to the house. They also leveled a big 'hump' in front that led water towards the house. Looks great. The guys were wonderful. Daryl was good about explaining. Would definitely recommend!

They did a great job, a little pricey. They are on the high end, but the guy that owns Mid-Cities Irrigation put my sprinklers in twenty years ago and didn't want someone who was just doing a check, I wanted someone who could handle the problem. And they did a great job. They were here on time, they did the job they did and I replaced my sprinkler head and he did a nice up-sell on the unit on the wall because mine was pretty much about dead. It was pricey too, but I chose to do that. They put my sprinklers in twenty years ago, it was a reasonable price. In the process in the last twenty some years I probably capped off half what they put in, I added a pool, I added a deck, I put in concrete, I probably capped off half of what they put in twenty years ago. They have been in business a really long time. They did a great job when they put my sprinklers in the first place. His price is probably higher than ones you are going to get a better deal on, but sometimes you just want somebody to come in and just check. I don't want a $300 check, I want a $50 check. He did a check on everything. He went back and re-checked everything. I didn't ask him to do that but it was a service call. The underground thing I was getting a sink hole in my landscaping area. It looked weird, that's why I called.

They were on time and very professional. They worked quickly to finish the job in minimum time.

They did a fabulous job. They were very professional, did what they said. My water pressure was not what he thought it would be so he worked with it and adjusted it. After installed my neighbor thought the sprinklers were too close to his yard so he came out and moved these at no charge. He works to satisfy you.

Darrell and his crew did a great job repairing my sprinkler system. It was an emergency call, and they were able to fit me in to their busy schedule. Darrell took time to explain to me the repair process, and also gave some great general advice about irrigation and drainage. I'm very happy with the service and professionalism and will call on this company again.

Darrel showed up within a week of initial contact took a look at the yard provided a solution and written estimate of cost. Stated no money due until job was completed. His crew arrived started the job didn't have enough material to complete the job, requested payment stating they would be back tomorrow to complete the job. I declined to pay at that time based on good business practices and the statement made to me upon confirmation of the job with Darrel. Darrell assure me and the crew chief on site assured me that the work was guaranteed. The work was completed the next day Payment of $635.00 as per the estimate. This week I have standing water at the end of one french drain on the side of my house and front of yard is soggy. Called the office, reported the problem. Secretary stated they would send someone out this week. I received a call from Darrell today 5/25/13, stating he was out here to look at the drain and we have a leak in sprinkler system. When asked if he would fix it he said "No! You tore you breeches with me when I asked you to pay me and I would come back and finish. That just told me that you didn't trust me! " I told him that it wasn't the idea that I didn't trust him, that just not good business practice and personally I don't know you.

I got 3 different quotes for installation of an irrigation system for my yard, which is medium/average sized. The first quote was for $3250 and included a 1 year warranty. Mid-Cities quoted me $3350 and that included the 3 year warranty, permits, parts, labor and the city inspection. The third company was a referral and quoted $2500, but they wrote their estimate on a piece of notebook paper, they did not seem very professional, and I could not find them on Angie's List. Even though Mid-Cities was $100 more than the first quote, I thought the additional 2 years of warranty was worth it, plus I received a 5% discount through Angie's List making the total cost of installation $3182.50. First, Darrell came out to perform the free estimate on a Saturday (2 days after I called the office to schedule). He was pretty quick and gave us a verbal quote and told me that his secretary would email us a quote on the following Monday. I think we actually received the quote on the following Tuesday (which was fine). My husband and I debated for a couple of weeks as to whether we wanted to proceed and we finally called around March 1 to schedule the install. They scheduled us for April 1. I thought that seemed like a long wait but they said it was starting to become their busy season and they had to do the drawings and get the permits, etc., so that is understandable. A few days after I scheduled, I called Darrell back and left him a voicemail and asked for him to give us a call when they were planning to come out and do the diagram of the yard so that we could leave our gate unlocked. I never received a call back from him. About a week before we were scheduled for install, I started to get concerned that maybe they had forgotten about us because nobody ever came by to do any drawings of our yard (although I'm not quite sure how or when they do them or if they are even necessary). I had my husband call to make sure we were still good for our install and they said yes and asked us to email them a copy of our land survey, which we did. Darrell called the Friday before our install and told us he had to push us back one day to April 2. On 4/2/13 I left for work at 7:30 am and they were already there working away. I got home from work at 5:30 and the job had already been completed and Darrell was showing my husband how to program and use the sprinkler. Overall, it was an easy experience and I'm happy that I have a 3 year warranty for piece of mind. I only give them a B for responsiveness just because Darrell never returned my phone call. However, I would definitely use them again for other projects.

these guys were great , worked hard and got the job done very efficiently ! they had to go thru rocks and big tree roots but they got the job done. price was good and 3 year warranty even better. went over controls and made sure i understood as we went along , great friendly people. very pleased with clean up after job was done they hauled off all rocks and tree roots that were dug up. over all just very very pleased with this company and would highly recommend them and without a doubt i would use them again !!

I placed a call to ask that someone come to assess the problem with my sprinkler system and give an estimate for the repair. There was no one to take the call so I left a voice mail message asking that I be called back. No one ever called.

I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance in order to receive a time that would agree with my work schedule, and on the day of the day of the appointment I took a few hours off from work. After the appointment time had passed, I called to verify that I was still on their schedule for the day. I was told that that it would probably be another hour before they could make it out. If I had been told this before rather than after the appointment, I could have adjusted my work schedule accordingly and been at my house when they were ready. At first, I rescheduled the appointment for a different day, but then I worried that this might happen again. I called back to cancel and was transferred to the owner who seemed irritated with my concerns and told me, "People need to understand that this is how the service industry works". I use Angie's List to find companies that provide both quality and customer service and have been very fortunate until now. This was not a good experience.

Came out on Saturday and walked through and provided estimate and let me know it would be approximately a week later before they would be able to do the install. I was having a new fence installed first and I let them know I would schedule after the fence was installed. They came out and was there at 9am and by 5:30pm the system was complete and everything was covered up and ready to go. They contacted me about the best time for a walk through on the system and we scheduled for the next morning. The next morning we walked through everything (they had to re-adjust a couple of heads) and was done by 10am. This is a great company and one of the few that offer a 3 year warranty.

I had a spinkler system leak in the front yard (standing and slowly seeping water). Mid Cities technician and a helper arrived on time, quidkly located the source, and repaired the dislodged pipe connection. They replaced the dirt, and replaced the ground cover so well that I can't even tell that a large hole had been dug. I would use them again.

We've always been happy with the quality of work and the prices quoted. We will continue using them in the future!

Excellent experience on both accounts. Darrell was professional and his team was efficient and proficient. Our irrigation system is now top notch thanks to them.. We are in the middle of the front landscaping now with Paul and his crew: Pat et.al. and we are finding that we are having a similar experience. They are extremely consistent! Prompt each day,working hard and cleaning up after themselves at the end of the day. Thrilled with the work so far. Update: all work completed and very pleased. The only reason I am giving a B on professionalism is that Paul needs to do a spell check on his proposals!;) Lots and lots of spelling errors which tend to make the proposal look/sound less professional . An easy fix however, and maybe I am just being pedantic and no one else is bothered by such details. All in all it has been a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

The overall process was very professional. Mid-Cities was willing to meet with me on my time schedule. They gave me a proposal on the irrigation on the first visit. The second visit was to go over my wants concerning the landscaping. (I had not told them that this was also in my plans.) They listened to my desires and produced a drawing showing the landscaping, including what type of plant would go where and had pictures of the plants. I ended up going with the hardscaping, but decided to do the planting myself. This was due more to indecision on my part than anything else. Mid-Cities showed up on time and kept the schedule that was given to me. There was one hiccup where a sprinkler line was in a location where I wanted to plant a tree. I called on Saturday and they were out on Monday to move the line and also planted the tree for me. My experience with this company shows that they take pride in their work and strive to satisfy the customer.

I have done business with Darrell and Paul several times in the past seven years as well as referred them to my parents. They are very professional and always deliver quality work. In my experience when I get three competitive bids, they tend to come back with an estimate that falls in the middle - but there is value in paying a little more and feeling confident that the job will be done right. Not to mention... they pay attention to the details and usually go above and beyond / throw in some small things at no additional charge.

Paul Bishop came out and met with me, asked a lot of questions about what we liked and didn't liked, looked around and said eh would put together a plan for us to look at. Less than a week later, he brought us a landscape architecture plan that was incredibly detailed and then put together a very thorough proposal breaking everything out. He did not charge us for this nor even try (as some of his competitors wanted us to pay just to have someone come over and talk to us). Agreed on the job and put on the schedule. Started on time and the crews were great. It was a well oiled machine - they worked hard and were extremely organized. The foreman was hear most of the time and Paul Bishop also checked in frequently. They checked with us on on a number of questions to see about tweaking things or giving us options - not trying to sell us anything else, but instead asking preferences on certain items as they arose. Finished on-time and on budget and absolutely high quality. I noticed a few of the reviews for these guys had their pricing rated as B and we probably could have had a lesser job done for a lower cost. But when you measure their pricing relative to their value, I gave it an A because it was worth it.

Mid-Cities Irrigation was the second quote I received for a sprinkler system (the first one was for $5,500). It took about a month from the time I accepted their quote until they installed the system. The system is working great and all areas of my grass and flower beds are getting good water coverage. A few weeks after the system was installed, one spray head stopped working properly. I called Mid-Cities in the early afternoon and they had it fixed by that evening.
