Superbly. We had hired them in 2012 with excellent results, so we tried them again, and they were even better. They even made an extra stop to pick up a large sofa from our mom's house. We can't think of better movers, and their costs are the lowest we have seen.
Description of Work: Moving from one home to another, min same town.

I am not certain for which address for this outfit to write my comments. The office staff seemed courteous enough and set up an visit by a gentleman named Jamon to give us an estimate on our job. We consulted Angie's List and extracted three companies from whom we would get bids. Jamon came to our house at the appointed time, stayed probably 12 minutes and submitted a bid, which ended up being the lowest of the three (though they were all within $500 of one another). The "packers" they sent seemed to have it together at first, but they really slowed down as the day went along. At the end of the time Jamon had estimated for the packing job, they announced that they were finished and were getting ready to leave. At this point, the pantry, bedroom closet and under counter cabinets had not been packed, and when I asked the lead guy to do this as well, he seemed put out, saying, "you want us to pack that too?" Two hours later, they were finished (so I thought). I had specifically asked them to label the boxes as to which side of the room they had packed, and they assured me that they would be happy to do so. Not only did they fail to do so, but at least half of the boxes were not labeled at all. And, we have now discovered, when they did label the boxes, the contents do not match the label. This is no small issue, as we are having our new house remodeled, so we are living out of these boxes and every item we search for turns into a scavenger hunt. Having moved nine times in my adult life, I have never had an unpleasant experience with a move. Until this one. This was so amazingly bad in every way, it goes without saying that I will never use Two Men and a Truck again, but I will certainly tell everyone that I know that they should not as well. The estimate for the move was wildly inaccurate, missing the estimated packing time by two hours and missing the moving time by 100%. It took 14 hours (!) as opposed to the estimated 7 hours. After calling and leaving messages for Shawn, our "customer satisfaction" rep., it took over a week for him to call me back. So, this operation is unimpressive all the way around. Just to cap it all off, he reports that his GM is only willing to adjust our bill by one-half of the amount over the bid, which still puts Two Men . . . over the price of the other bids. I should have used All My Sons or Apple Moving, and if I ever need a local mover again, I will certainly call them. The guys who did the actual moving were terrific, but were given a truck that didn't function properly (the ramp was NON-FUNCTIONAL and a replacement had to be lashed to the back of the truck because it would not fit on the truck. As hard as they worked under difficult circumstances, when Shawn finally did call me back, he immediately threw these poor guys under the bus and said that the problems were all due to inefficient loading of the truck. This was absolutely not the case as I was there, watching, every moment of that 14 hour day. I cannot begin to describe our level of frustration with this company. DO NOT, under any circumstances, EVER, use them for anything.
Description of Work: The task was to pack and move the contents of our three bedroom house to our new house, four minutes away from our former residence.

They were excellent. Everything went so smoothly. They didn’t damage anything they were courteous. They wrapped anything and they were very polite. The cost was $500 but I was running late and they were courteous enough to wait and it probably it would not cost so much but I was late for about two hours

Description of Work: I hired Two Men and a Truck for a small moving job. They made a bid on the job specifics which I gave them (which did not change) of less than $300.00. On the day they did the move, it took them longer to take apart and put together a bed than they expected, and so they said at the end that I owed them $593.75. While I was really frustrated with them, I thought it was best just to pay them and have them gone. Then almost two months later, I got a call from a collections agency threatening to take pictures of my house, my office, our farm, talk to my neighbors, to my banker . . . if I did not call a lawyer immediately and settle a claim against me. When I called the lawyer, he told me that Two Men and a Truck claimed I had not paid them and would be filing a lawsuit against me in small claims court.. I sent copies of my cancelled check both to the lawyer and to Two Men and a Truck. When I talked with the manager at Two Men and a Truck, he apologized and said his movers did not check a box in indicating how I had paid. I did not understand how the company could turn me over to a collection agency when they had cashed my check. I am sure it was just an error, but it created for me a couple of hours of nonsense. And this was after they charged me quite a bit more than what they had bid!
