Foreman and workers were polite, professional, and seemed to want to do a quality job. They were unable to match the siding texture, which was not discovered until the job was done. They are unable to fix that and I have no idea if anyone could do better. They worked quickly. They had to come back (upon request) to cleanup wood scraps, paint chips, and nails from yard and beds. They did not cover bushes, so they had a light spray on them, but they seem to be recovering. Salesman was very polite. They were the lowest of 3 estimators.

As the work progressed, more and more spindles were found to be rotted; the workers called my attention to them so I could see it for myself. They were quiet, efficient, and courteous.Though the job ended up costing a lot more than the first estimate, it was accountable by the extra carpentry, labor, and materials.

My first contact with Southern Painting was very pleasant. A consultation was planned easily around my work schedule. When Rick showed up I was very impressed. His presentation was top-notch and I could tell that this was a very meticulous, trustworthy man. When it came time to give me an estimate, Rick simply went to his truck and 15 minutes later returned with a printed copy along with materials giving me information about the company and the warranty. This was very much appreciated as I've had more than one contractor come to give me a quote and either taken weeks to get back to me or not bothered to bid the job at all. In all, I probably received quotes from 6 companies to do this job. Southern Painting was the second lowest price, but I was so impressed with Rick's presentation and demeanor that we decided to go with them anyway. Popcorn removal is a project that needs to be done by people with experience, and I was confident that Southern Painting would do a good job. The job was scheduled to start the literally the day after I called Rick to tell him he won the contract. Rick, Felipe, the team foreman, and 4 workers promptly showed up that morning and got to work right away. I felt completely safe leaving them in my home while I went to work. All of the men were extremely polite. I was amazed that by the end of the first day almost all of the popcorn had been scraped off- these men really worked quickly! I also appreciated the care they took with our furniture and belongings. It took 5 days for them to finish the project. Before we scheduled the final walk-through, I got a call from the foreman stating that some of the tape used to hold down the plastic sheeting to protect the wood floors had taken up some of the varnish. Felipe said he already had made arrangements for a flooring subcontractor to come take a look at it and go about fixing it. I was really grateful for the proactive action on his part. We did the walk-through that night and found a few touchups that needed to be done on the walls, and overall we were overwhelmed by the wonderful job the men did. It was decided that the floor would be fixed on the spots where the tape was, but if need be they might have to sand and re-varnish the whole floor. They ended up having to do the entire floor to get it to match, and not once did we have to worry about the company taking care of it. Without hesitation, Southern Painting went above and beyond to correct the small blemishes accidently left on the floor, and now we are left with a wood floor that looks brand new. Rick, Felipe and the working crew are men who are professional, experienced, conscientious, and skilled. I never had a problem getting Rick or Felipe on the phone for an update. I will not hesitate to recommend this company to my friends and family, and we will definitely use them for any painting projects we have in the future.

Southern Painting came out and gave us an estimate. It took a little longer than we thought to get the estimate via e-mail. We had two other estimates and Southern was right there with the others. We had more confidence in them, I guess, because they had been working at several different places in the neighborhood. We were not disappointed. The crew was polite and professional. They were exceptionally patient with me, asking them to put samples of paint up so I could choose between two colors.

They did a great job. They did arrive on time and did quality work. They were great guys. They price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

After I signed the contract for the work, I think they forgot about me for a few days. When I called to check on a scheduled time, they immediately got back to me and scheduled the job for a couple of days later. Always on time and I was very pleased with the painting done. They even did a little extra painting as well. Cleaned the area up before they left. Very happy with the work done.

I first called another highly rated painter from this site who could not get to the work for a month. When I called Southern they sent someone the next day to give an estimate. Because this is a large room with high ceilings and a loft, and because we were painting white over bright red, a decorator friend of mine guessed that the estimate would come in around $1,200.00. I was pleasantly surprised that the estimate was $930 including materials. They were able to schedule the work for the following week and were done in a day and a half. They did a fabulous job; very careful so that not one smidge of the bright red shows, even around window frames. Even my decorator friend was impressed with the final product; the room looks great! The workers were courteous. I will definitely call them again when I have painting needs.

It went very well, overall. The company liaison was late the first day, but it was during the holidays and was a rush job, so no big deal. The painters took care and did a very thorough job, with particular care on edges and contrasting trim. The job was finished in 1.5 days, just in time for the movers. They came back after the move-in and re-touched smears and dings. The price was more than I wanted to pay, but I got a fine, professional job that was worth it!

It went very well. They showed up on time the morning that we agreed on at 8:30am. Three guys showed up and I quickly went over everything with one of them as the other two started taping. When I got home at 6pm, they had finished painting the ceilings and a large portion of the walls. They continued to work past 6:30. The next morning they were there at 8am and again they stayed all day and left at around 6:30. This day they finished painting the walls, including the second coat. The third day again was a long one and they sanded and did the first coat on all the trim and doors. The fourth day was very short, it was just to put the final coat on the trim and then they were done.

I like the fact that it only took them three days to complete the job. I was referred to them by some friends. They were very easy to schedule an appointment with. They cleaned up their mess when they were finished. I did find them to be a little costly.

We were in a hurry to get our home on the market so they fit us into their schedule very quickly. Work began 8 am sharp and was done by 4 pm next business day with no mess, all furniture moved back and all switch plates etc. back on the wall. The crew was very professional and courteous, there was no confusion, nobody was late and the colors were great.

OVERALL, VERY PLEASED. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CREW WAS VERY RESPECTFUL TO LAND. CLEANED UP AREA WELL. NOT PUSHY UPON RECEIVING ESTIMATE. GOOD HONEST APPRAISAL AND RECOMMENDATIONS.
