I BELIEVE MOVERS

Website (7/2006) states the moves are flat hourly rates, payable by check, visa, or MO. We gave an inventory for the house move and was given an initial estimate of $250 for 3 hours work over the phone. Once the movers arrived, they introduced themselves, surveyed the work and the estimate was revised to $650 and included $25 charge for stairs, $25 for bulk items, $25 for fuel and 6 hours work, along with payment by visa only. The two movers were very polite and worked hard throughout. They maintained a great attitude and made the move as positive as possible. The owner showed up about an hour into the move, did not introduce himself, but instead just walked in. The time involved ended up being 9 hours, however they did not revise the final bill from the second estimate, and that was appreciated. They are MUCH cheaper than competitors. Estimates will become better with experience. BTW, the visa machine broke & we ended up paying by check anyway.
