Description of Work: They cancelled on me at the last moment and send another moving company. Guys who spoke no English and wanted to move my belongings on a flat bed trailer. I was in tears.

Description of Work: Used Blue Whale to move my father from an apt into my house for about $250. Only took his dresser, kitchen table, recliner and some chairs. We used their sister company to pick up everything else and dump it. Junk removal dumping was actually more expensive but still worth it the next day at $300+.

Description of Work: We were planning a move. I wanted to choose a moving company that would be reliable and actually show, as I had had previous experiences with day movers not being reliable. So I joined Angie's List to try to have access to the best. I chose Blue Whale, because of rave reviews. The appointment was made. Someone from Blue Whale called me to confirm the appointment. That made me feel good that they were going to show. Then they didn't show. I called hoping they could come late. They still didn't show. We had to find a last minute substitute late in the day on a weekend. I complained to Blue Whale and no one would talk to me. I complained to Angie's List and no one would talk to me. I left a bad review but I'm sure it was scrubbed. So I'll never use Blue Whale. I let my Angie's List membership expire and will never re-up, because no one would talk to me about a negative experience. |I am not positive about the date of non service.... It may have been 2008 or 2009.

Description of Work: Not well! I will never use them again! The 2 guys tried to get me to pay more than contracted amount! One of them had the flu and spent most of the time sitting in a chair on my porch. Several expensive pieces were broken. They did not finish on the day of moving and I had to call them back several times the following day to get them back over. Only one mover returned the 2nd day after the move (and returned with his 8 year old son to help him). Consequently, I had to get up on a ladder and help him put my armoire back together. Move was Sept 2010.

Description of Work: Service was a while ago, April of 2007. There was a schedule mix up. Movers came to my apartment and started loading my stuff. They got a call from their supervisor who told them they were at the wrong place. So they unloaded me, went to the other appointment, and came back to my home later. I felt like this was weird and unprofessional. Guys were nice, no complaints about them. They came highly recommended so Iwas surprised at the way my appointment went. Will not consider using them again.

Description of Work: Quoted an estimate over the phone that came very close (since we changed a few items). Moved a two-story houseful of furniture and put it in the new one story house with care (for the carpet, the walls). Adult children helping senior parents move. Older brother was so pleased, he gave a good tip. The movers were polite, quick, able, and helpful with all questions. We used them again about a month later to move some things to the kids' homes that didn't fit in the new home.

Description of Work: It was fine. Not excellent but fine. It took longer than I thought it should and they had problems finding my house, although it was a new neighborhood.

Description of Work: They sent a fellow out to see what we had to move and to check out the rules of the building about moving and the time frame available and so on - we told there would be no problem but when the movers showed up they said they hadn't been told about any special circumstances and they weren't supposed to take plants - even though we had paid extra for that! We ended up having to move several things on our own and many of the things they moved were damaged, nicked, chipped etc...

Description of Work: Gave estimated price based on what had to be moved. Showd up on time. Quickly and carefully moved items to truck and to new location and unloaded them and placed them where requested.
