Description of Work: Fixed what we neded done, uncovered a bigger problemthat a previous contractor missed or ignored, are coming back 3/25/2014 to complete a second job. Terriffic people.

Description of Work: Technically the service I purchase was 3 hours of labor to remove and replace caulk or grout in bathroom which the contractor did. After 3 hours the bathroom was a mess. Some of the culture marble was either taken down or came apart when the caulk was removed. After the 3 hours they told me that the shower pan was leaking and needed to be replaced and some of the cultured marble need to |be replaced and that I needed to talk to either their plumber or there Owner. I request that I talk to owner, a man name Barrett. He called later that day and we met the next day. I asked him to give me a price to do what he thought we needed to do. He told me $3,000.00 to $6,000.00. I indicated I would like to have a firmer price than the range he gave me. He said he would get back to me the next day. I am sorry to say I have not hear from him since that day. He did mention he would never do this kind of special again and was not really interested and doing the work. As of this day March 24, 2014 we have not used the bathroom and it is still a mess. If you look at Mr Barrett's website for the The Best Handy Man it would appear that he does this kind of work all the time. I would not recommend this Company to anyone and I do not think he should be on Angie's List. He could have at least called me back and told me he did not want to do the work rather than leaving me in limbo.

Description of Work: Patched some areas where wood rot was occurring and replaced some siding that couldn't be patched.

Description of Work: You've got to love a contractor that can shift on the fly to another project you need done when the original request can't be done through no fault of their own. Kudos to both Derrick and Tyler of Best Austin Handyman & Remodeling for being muli-talented. We went from removing grout and replacing to removing a rear door, framing, installing a new window, insulating and dry walling all in one day leaving us with only priming, sanding and exterior painting a small section. I ran out of time, but they even had enough energy left to reposition an exterior driveway light on a 20ft. pole and lag bolt it into a vastly more secure position. No bull...Derrick and Kyle are just good workers and great at working out issues rather than rescheduling on another day.

Description of Work: What did the provider do? Just about everything! I had so many backed up projects, it is fantastic to have them all done in one day! Ed was the fellow who came, and I really liked him. He set right to work and stayed with it all day. Hung lights, changed locks, hung fire alarms. I was really, really impressed. They called a day before to confirm and he actually showed up five minutes early! The handyman for a day special of $249 really helped me get the house back in shape!

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from this company for: $88 for 2 hours of handyman services. There were some scheduling issues. We exchanged some messages back and forth and they said that they tried to reach out to the tenants, but they got no reply. They were courteous and friendly though.
