Description of Work: They were excellent. They did wood rot repair. I had purchased a deal for $149 but I spent a total of $327 for extra work and materials.

Description of Work: I was asking to have some cracks in a stone retaining wall filled. The man that came to the house said the whole wall needed to be torn down and rebuilt. I disagreed with him and said all that I wanted was the cracks filled. He refused so we agreed to disagree. I called and asked for my money back and they refused and said I need to get my money back from Angie's List. I would like some one to contact me concerning this matter. Description of Work: I paid $49 for a bathroom design consultation service and so far I have been very impressed by the service provided. The designer came to the house to discuss possible options and measure up. She has since sent us several concept drawings of the various options and it is very likely that we will progress with one of these options.

It did get quite complicated which increased the price, but the had all the necessary skilled workmen available and handled multiple complications. Further, they cleaned up very well each day and completely after the job. Very professional.

Description of Work: The original landscape designer never completed the job. We eventually called the company and inquired about the situation. That young lady had been fired. Unfortunately they never told us. However I did send out another person along with the manager. They basically listen to our ideas and then drew up a sketch of what our ideas were but had no original ideas or suggestions.

Description of Work: The deal I purchased stated that it was for deck power washing and sealing, with the member to have the option of purchasing sealant from the company or providing it. Initially I played phone tag for 2 or 3 days before I was able to schedule. When I spoke with the scheduler (Melanie) she was very nice, but indicated there would be an extra charge for the sealant. I forwarded her a screen shot of the deal which stated sealant was included. She then called me back to say they would have to come out an additional time, because the power washing and sealant couldn't be done on the same day, and that there would still be an extra charge. I complained and she said that even though "Angie's List worded it incorrectly" they would honor the deal as written. We scheduled the initial power washing, but when I told my husband about it, he was not happy about the confusion regarding honoring the deal, nor the two visits which was not stated in the deal, and asked me to cancel and have our money refunded.

Description of Work: I conducted an onsite project review with the contracto on Wed, 7/29/2015 |o Following the project onsite review, he stated he would send the proposal by EOB that day |• After waiting for the contract proposal on Thursday and through mail delivery on Friday, 7/31, I called the business office and was told I would contacted by company rep |• The rep returned my call late Friday afternoon, 7/31, stated that my email address had been copied wrong, and he would send it |• I received the contract via email at 6:10 pm, Fri, 7/31 |o There were a few critical items that were not addressed that required clarity |• I responded with these points via email on Sat, 8/1/2015 |• By EOB Thursday, 8/6, I still had recv'd no response so I called and left vmail on the company rep's phone, as he had suggested. |• On Friday, 8/7, I rcv'd a voicemail msg from BAH office person |o The message stated they wanted to get the project scheduled but could not get it scheduled that day and would call first thing Monday morning (8/10). |• By mid afternoon Monday, 8/10, still no call from BHA |o I called to find out why I had not been contacted regarding the points of discussion for the proposal and that yet another commitment for contact had been missed; |-I also asked why I should do business with BAH if they couldn't even get the project statement defined correctly; at this point it had been a week and a half | I stated that I was not comfortable doing business with a company that missed the mark this much before it even started and that I was concerned regarding timely response if something went wrong during the project | Finally, I stated that I would consider using them if they could get someone onsite to review and make corrections to the contract proposal by EOB today, 8/10 | I was told they could not get anyone out today | I responded that was not acceptable and that I would find another contractor |• The BHA owner called about an hour later |o He accused me of yelling at his office person |o I responded that was not the truth; that I spoke to her in the same tone of voice that I was speaking to him and, clearly, I was not yelling |o At that point he started talking aggressively ... I attempted to interrupt him he but he refused to listen |o I hung up on him for obvious reasons |I will not do business nor recommend any company that exhibits this type of work ethic. |

Description of Work: We had an existing deck reconfigured, adding nice wide stairs in the front and closing up existing stairs on one side. It looks wonderful and completely changes how we use the deck. |The workman were terrific. They showed up on time every day until the project was finished and cleaned up afterwards! A real plus for us.

Description of Work: Ed, of Best Austin Handyman, repaired a small section of wood rot along the eaves on the back of my house. He was very professional, arrived on time and completed the work promptly. This was a small job. I would hire this company again.

Description of Work: I requested a service call on line via Angie's list , I received a reply email giving a number and called and left a message and no response as of yet.

Description of Work: I was interested in something else when I bought the deal. The guy was very nice but it was just not what I was looking for. I needed a landscaper for plants and they sent a guy who was more experienced with hardscaping and the subject never came up before they came out when making the appointment.
