The person I originally talked with was not the person who came out for service but he was very good. Took pride in his workmanship

I was happy with the first service and I purchased another one. The price was right. They came out within a week after I purchased the Big Deal. I did not go above and beyond the $79 Big Deal. That was the extent of it.

It went really well. He did a great job, and achieved more than I had expected given the time.

I think he did a good job installing the vent. We have had several substantial rains since the install with no leaks so he did the job right. However, I told the office when I scheduled the appointment exactly what I wanted and when he arrived he didn't know what he was doing. He also brought no materials so the first hour of the time I bought was spent figuring out what he needed to do and going to Home Depot for a materials run, which I paid for. Maybe my expectations are out of order but when I wasn't told this would happen so I am unhappy I paid for that hour. Particularly in light of the simplicity of the job. That said, I learned that next time I use a handy man I will buy all materials in advance. The guy that came out wasn't as professional as I would like. He did work the whole time he was actually here but also spent some time complaining as he did. As he was leaving he let me know I could contact him directly instead of Best Austin Handyman. Once again the true measure of the work in this case is the size of the leak based on the hole in the roof and since one doesn't exist yest I am happy.

Fine. I purchased the deal before speaking with them to confirm the final cost of the project. I new the project would take more than three hours. We could not agree on a final cost. He is aware that I am applying for a refund. I'll know in the future to confirm with the provider before purchasing a deal, when I know the work will exceed the deal amount.

I think it was okay. I felt like the time estimates provided were too high. I had one item as pressure wash driveway and garage and I was told that it would take 4 hours to do it. This is totally not reasonable time in my opinion. Also, the company wasn't available to work until 5 weeks and I was looking for service in at the most couple of weeks.

It went well and I used a coupon and could have use a second one. They encourage me to "save it" for another call. Well, when I realized I needed service I noticed the coupon expired a few months after they were here. I just would like to have a refund.

He was on time, courteous, and thorough. I initially thought he was overdoing the fix, but saw the wisdom in his designs as it progressed! Great job for a great price!

I was putting my house on the market and needed many interior doors painted. It was a rush job and I knew I was asking a lot on top of the Angie's List Deal. The owner was very accomodating and I went with him essentially because he met my timeline. I went over all the work with the owner and the person doing the work (I'm sorry, I don't remember the names). I had provided the paint to be used for the doors, but was told that I would need to get another 5 gal bucket. Later, when I checked in, I was told that I needed to get another 5 gal bucket. I was doubting his estimate, but I went out and bought another 5 gal bucket. It turned out that I was right and only one extra gallon was needed. Of course, you can't return custom paint. Not too thrilled about that and I did let the owner know. He was sympathetic, but didn't offer to offset my cost. The quality of the work was fair. It was a lot of doors in a short period of time. They were done alright (I would say they just met the "acceptable" standard) but a set of closet doors were left out and I didn't catch that until it was too late. The bathroom showers looked great. The time estimate of the work probably underestimated because the painting had to be rushed following the showers. And you can't rush paint... They were good in a pinch, but I would have done a better job myself.

The service was okay, it wasn't great. I probably wouldn't hire him again. I don't know if he didn't know how to do the work or what, but it turned into a 2 day job with painting our wall. That was frustrating.

Great! He purchased some really long lasting caulk that is sealed and wont crack or mold like the grout the tile contactor had used on installation of the tile.

He did a good job and went above and beyond.

There was some confusion between the repair person and the person who scheduled the service. The technician did not show up at the appointed time so I called the company. The scheduler was very apologetic and promised to contact the technician to find out what had happened. I received a call back within 10 minutes and the technician was also apologetic and offered to come right away. When he arrived, he was very professional and solved two problems quickly. We were very pleased with the work and impressed that the company was extremely responsive and solved the scheduling problem quickly.

2 guys came out. They fixed a nasty place on top of my porch where my porch was rotting. They were so nice and so helpful. They explained what they were doing along the way and I liked that. I'd hire them back out in a heartbeat! They were excellent! They showed up right on time and went straight to work.

overall it was a good experience. it took a bit longer than I was expecting so it cost a bit more. but he did a wonderful job and the door looks great so was worth the extra time and money.

It really enjoyed working with this professional, whose name is Mike. He was attentive to details and accomplished things quickly and efficiently. He was also very patient with me because I changed my mind on whether or not I wanted to install a new chandelier, and after installing a new one that I decided I didn't like, he uninstalled it for me right away and did not charge extra for doing so. He did the same with the light fixture on the deck -- we tried one new one and then took it down and then installed another new one, which I kept. The entire time he was professional and courteous and flexible in his ability to help me get done what I had in mind. He is returning to do more work at the house in mid-June, at which time he will be installing more ceiling fans and installing the pendant lights in the kitchen, as well as more lighting outdoors. We also plan to bring him back later in the year to do the bathroom remodel he created the sketch for.

I had a problem with one of them. There was a door I wanted hang and the person that came spent 3 hours on the door but it wasn't done right as it wouldn't close. He was talking about all these different things he could try but he didn't know what to do to get it right. He went ahead and fixed something else and he was fine on that. I told him how unhappy I was about the door so he told me he will come back and fix it right. He did that 3 weeks later and fixed it but it was still not perfect. I was satisfied with the changes because the door closed. I thought it was warranted because he hadn't done it right the first time, but then they called me up and informed me that I owed money for it. It was disappointing because I have bought a number of different things from them and most of it turned out right. I didn't pay and I haven't heard from them since.

The work done is horrible. He merely sawed a pice of wood the size of the hole and nailed it up over both the holes. The side of the garage was fixed with a cheap facer board that does not match the one on the other side. My husband could have nailed a board over the holes and saved us $149.00. We wanted an expert carpenter to repair the damage so it was back the way it was and match the other soffits around it. We wouldn't have minded paying extra if it would have taken more than four hours to accomplish that. Now, because of this experience with this Angie's List Deal, we are very leery to purchase another one. We will need to find a carpenter to come out and fix these properly. Austin Best Handyman may have contracted this job out as my daughter asked for a business card and it said: Lambjam Handyman Ed Rios He did them a real disservice!!

Zak (their masonary repair guy) did a fine job. Calling the day before to understand the job and talk about weather considerations was great. He did the work in an efficient and professional maner and I would definately use these folks again. I purchased the repair on an Angie's list special and wondered if that was just a lead in to get me to pay for additional time -- absolutely not the case. All the work was accomplished within the time allocation of the special and I got a good deal -- and a great mason for future work.

I requested a refund back in February and I just now received the e-mail response to link me here to fill out this form. I do no remember all of the details, but in short, this company began work at my home and after a phone conversation with the owner himself, he hung up on me and then called the gentlemen that was working and told him to leave the job site. They were beginning to lay marble in a bathroom for me and after being instructed to leave, left my bathroom with the toilet uninstalled and the job incomplete. In addition, I am disappointed that it has taken Angie's List this long to attend to this request for a refund. I called and spoke with someone on the phone and explained the entire situation to them. There should be more details annotated on my account to do with this merchant.

He was wonderful, professional, nice and prompt!

He did a very good job. He was timely and professional. He handled all the materials. I just bought additional hours.

They came out and gave a bid and he gave the ceiling price for the work. When he sent me the bid online it was not detailed and I sent something back to him questioning that. The bid was going to be a certain amount plus materials and I did add $1,000.00 more for the service but what the final bill actually came out to was a lot more than what he initially said it would be. He told me that he was initially bidding a cheaper wood and he was not following what I wanted and he said he quoted the project based on using melamine and not the type of existing wood in my home. The whole project ended up being more than we thought it would be but the work was very good.

The service turned out well. They were professional and nice to work with. The guy was good that did the work and he was professional as well. Scheduling with them was good and a guy went over the projects over the phone to make sure he was sending the right person for the job. They sent a guy a couple of days later to do the work.

I had a couple of estimates done but I just went with them as I have used them before. They have several different contractors, fair prices and they get the job done pretty quickly. I am happy with the professionalism.
