In a rainstorm a few weeks ago a large branch fell from a cottonwood tree in the side yard and damaged the fencing along the street.  After the cleanup the Tree Service folks recommended that I call Donnie.  The house is renter occupied so I called and left a message asking him to drop by and look and give me an estimate.  He called on Sunday morning asking if it was OK with the renter to come by and check it out.  Called back shortly and gave me a quote.  Did the work that day and texted me a picture of the completed work. Easy to work with!

We lost our home in the Bastrop County Wildfires recently and had an extended stay at a local hotel.  We had received Ark-La-Tex's card and contacted them (and several others) for a bid on fencing for a new property we were purchasing to mov into.  Donnie came and met with my husband at the hotel - showed him the types of fence materials they could provide and gave him some 'ballpark' pricing.  Once we were into the new property - and called him - he returned our calls promptly - came out and too measurements, gave a definitive bid - once we agreed to move forward - came out and completed the project in record time!  This company is professional, on-time delivery of goods and services and price-competitive.  I would strongly recommend their serives to anyone and call upon them again in a heartbeat!  Thank you, Ark-La-Tex Fencing!

Donnie is careful and professional. He stays with the job until everything is done to the customer's satisfaction. When he runs into an unexpected problem (as he did with our steep lot), he comes up with a workable solution. His help is sometimes unreliable, so he ends up doing a lot himself, which is a good thing from the standpoint of quality. What probably should have been a 2 or 3 day job turned into a 5 day job because of late starts and lack of help. But I wasn't up against a deadline, and Donnie came through with a first-rate job at a lower price than the three other contractors who submitted bids. I would definitely hire Donnie again, and recommend him highly. Just don't expect workers to be on your site from dawn to dark -- though Donnie will work until dark when it's necessary to get the job done.

They were the best!  Called them at 8:30 a.m. and they were onsite working by 10:00 a.m.  Excellent work and price!

Donnie and a younger helper came to take measurements and give an estimate. Donnie was very thorough, and gave several options for me to consider. When the day came for the work to actually start, it was the younger helper that showed up early, then another helper came a bit later. The two of them worked very diligently, but did not seem to be up to the task, as there was concrete to be dug out of the previous 4x4 postholes and limestone aplenty. Even though I had again gone over the exact job specifications with the guy upon his arrival that morning, he went beyond what I actually wanted done, causing extra time and money, but I was satisfied with the overall result. What I thought would be a one-day job actually turned into a four-day job, as the two younger guys apparently decided this job was too difficult and just didn't come back after day two. I happened by there near dark on day three, and Donnie was there alone, working away. I did have to call Donnie out one additional time, as the wood on one of the gates had swollen and did not open and close properly, and he came and fixed the problem. The hardware on that gate was installed a little crooked, but I did not have the heart to call him out again to fix it.

Ark-La-Tex was one of three estimates we received for this job. The estimate included options for steel posts vs. wood, steel frame driveway gate and wrought iron gates. We went with the steel posts and the steel frame driveway gate. They had another job in front of us but, to our surprise, were able to start our job a week earlier than scheduled. We'd just moved into this property and couldn't let our dogs out with supervision because of the gaps and holes in the fence.  They had to work around a few trees and a gradual grade in the terrain.  At the last minute, my partner asked if they could extend the fence another 75' making the total job about 200'.  They did a great job and we -- and the dogs -- are very pleased with their work!

Called this company after no response from another Angies list contractor. Returned my call after a couple of days and came over to give me an estimate. Came over on the day specified, but I had not specified a time. Rebuilt the gate and it was an unusual job and did a great job. Left the area clean. Would use again.

I called Donnie for an estimate, he arrived on time. We walked the yard and I told him what I wanted. He had a few suggestions, and provided a written estimate. I called him a couple days later and we set up a day for the job to begin. He arrived on time, did great work, and left my yard as clean as when he started.
