Window World of Middle TN

No problems with installation, windows look great. Disappointed in quality of windows. Windows do not slide open or close easily like the display window. Top portion of window falls down when you open windows and must be pushed back up in order to lock windows, and this is not easy to do and is a hassle!

It was a bad Window World experience. Their $189 window was really $400. There was a little bit of a bait and switch with them which I kind of expected. I wasn't really surprised. I anticipated that out of the window replacement companies. It took over two months to get the windows. They didn't tell me. I had to call them and ask about where my windows are. The installers came out and said "Oh these windows don't fit. You have to have somebody come and measure them again and get different windows." I can't wait two more months for windows. I had to be the big, mean guy and call them. They got me new windows in a week. My question was how come they can get me windows in a week but I waited two months for the first set. They came out and put them in. The workmanship is really saggy. I had to have them come back and take them back out and put them back in again. One window moved in and out of the house by an inch. The other window was crooked by an inch. I'm not happy with Window World. The final windows were put in. They were very responsive. I wish they had done it right the first time. They were very punctual and pretty professional.

We could have gotten the windows replaced cheaper elsewhere, but cheaper isn't always better. We have neighbors that used a big box store to replace about as many windows as we have, but they aren't satisfied with the workmanship. It's sloppy & the windows don't fit correctly. On the other hand, we are VERY satisfied & have a lifetime warranty with our windows! You can't beat that! The guys were awesome, professional, thoughtful & cleaned up afterwards. The windows are caulked to perfection. Sometimes it's worth spending a little more to get quality work. No wonder Window World has such high ratings across the board! Wouldn't hesitate to use them again, but as long as we stay in this house, we won't need to!

Install window and remove the old ones

Everything went fast, clean and with quality. They took out old windows, installed new ones, cut out old wood, wrapped sills with flashing, caulked everything and cleaned up everything when they left. The only reason my rating says the quality lacks a little is that we have transom windows. They do not replace these when they replace the other windows, and do not have them. If we want new transoms we have to have that done separately, but I suppose elsewhere we wouldn't have gotten such a good price for the amount of work and number of windows they replaced.

We met with the Window World salesperson and he did a very good job explaining the windows that they offer. We had other estimates from other vendors, but Hank was straightforward about the product and the costs of Window World. There were no hidden costs with the windows (like with rotted wood). This was all identified upfront. Window World's pricing was the most reasonable for basically the same product. Joey and his crew did an awesome job removing the existing windows and replacing them with new energy efficient windows. They did a great job caulking and insulating around the windows. They faced the outside with new siding that matched our existing siding almost perfectly (siding color was picked out by salesperson). Everything was cleaned up by the time they left. The windows look fabulous and operate beautifully. One of the best decisions we made. We highly recommend this company for anyone needing replacement windows.

It turned out fine. I would grade it a B, I grade hard. It was not exceptional, but I do not have any complaints either. The price was good and they were relatively responsive. There was nothing impressive. I am not going to give anyone an A unless I feel they went out of their way. It was good, though and they were, hands down, the best priced. I think they were slightly late for our appointment.

All went well. The salesman was very helpful in explaining things, the installers were excellent. Worked hard and very pleasant.

They were prompt, and courteous. They were in a hurry so the inside work was a little sloppy but the windows are good. It was the caulking work done inside that wasn’t done so well.

After getting bids from several companies, we decided to go with Window World and we are so glad that we did. The reviews on Angie's List and the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval were certainly factors we considered but we were also impressed with how smoothly the whole process went from ordering to installation. Our sales rep did a great job covering our options and even came back one afternoon with one of the installers to confirm his preliminary measurements. The windows arrived when expected and there were no problems in scheduling the installation. Our installers arrived right on time and did a beautiful job putting them in. We couldn't be happier with how our new windows look! We have since decided to install a new patio door and we will definitely be talking to Window World about that in the near future.

Getting the windows measured and ordered was easy - The salesperson was friendly, helpful and professional. Making the payment was easy. Getting the windows here and installed, well I'm still waiting, and so are the codes department, as this was an egress issue needing urgent attention.

We had a great overall experience with Window World. We have had a few estimates recently, and one in particular was terrible. The sales person for this company was extremely pushy, stayed entirely too long and refused to leave us an estimate, basically demanding we sign a contract to lock in the "great" price they were offering. The representative from Window World was completely opposite. He was there for about 30 minutes, long enough to show us the product, present our options and leave us a very reasonable estimate. That, combined with their warranty and great reviews I saw on Angie's List, made our decision a relatively easy one. The windows were ready in about 3 weeks, and the installers took less than a day to complete the work. They were courteous, punctual and cleaned up after themselves (something a lot of crews just don't do these days). Window World was also very helpful in facilitating the $500 TVA rebate that is available right now. Really a great experience with this company. The new windows are a tremendous improvement on what we had previously, and really do look great. I would highly recommend considering Window World for your next window project.

Got 3 bids Window World salesperson on-time, well informed, provided proof source (which I checked). He informed me that I might be eligible for rebate through TVA Energy Right Program (which I didn't know) Great price compared to other bids. Total price for windows was $3,708 (I paid extra for beige color inside and out as well as removal and re-installation of blinds) compared to $6,000 from competitors I also checked Window World's TN license status, BBB ratings, TN Buyer Beware list, TN Problem Contractor list, Angie's List and Consumer Reports for Alside brand windows. Received follow up call from Sales Manage regarding salesperson Installers were GREAT!!! Very professional and punctual! Every installer had a specific job and the installers worked as a precision-drilled team. They removed all existing windows, installed new windows, trained me on the operation of my new windows and were gone to another installation appointment in about 4 hours. I was VERY satisfied with my overall experience from the professionalism, knowledge and punctuality of the salesperson to the professionalism, expertise and congeniality of the installation team members! My experience with Window World earns an A+ from me.

Window World was good. They had to coordinate their efforts here with a company that did reinforcements and that could have been better coordinated but that was done. The job that they did was pretty good and professional and they were relatively quick. I had a lot of windows done and the major one was in the front room for which they to coordinate with the other company but the work that they did was beautiful. They were punctual.

Overall, we are very pleased with our new windows. We live on top of a hill with very little tree shade so we get full sun for the majority of the day. We had very good wooden, dual pane Anderson windows that were 28 years old. Let's just say that since they installed the new windows, there has been a "significant" decrease in the amount of heat that burnt through those old windows. So much so, I kept thinking there had to be a draft somewhere but you know what, it's the new windows that are keeping the heat from baking the inside of our home. Even on the coldest days in December, the old windows would almost magnify the sun's rays and heat up the house. Now, we have noticed that we might have to turn the thermostat up a degree or two to keep the house as warm as we were used to. I can not wait to see what it does for us once Spring and Summertime comes around.

Sales person came out to home about a month ago or more. He was friendly, on time and had a lot of knowledge about the product. A few days ago, a customer service rep called to say the windows were ready, and we set up a date and time. Two workers came and did a great job. The cleaned as they went along and even put my plantation blinds back up in the dining room. One showed me how to open, close, use the lock system and clean the windows. Overall, a great job. Everyone was friendly and well-mannered.

All in all my experience with Window World went well. I called and set up an appointment for November 5, 2012. The sales associate was nice and knowledgeable of the product. He explained the entire process to me and took measurements. He also explained the difference between Window World Windows versus the competition. The Angie's List rating added to the fact that my parents used Window World to install all of their windows made me decide to go with them. I placed the order on November 5, 2012. At that time the sales associate told me that they custom make the windows and that my new windows should be in around the first week of December. He said that someone would call me and notify me when the windows came in so that I could set a time for installation. Well the first week of December came and went and I had not received a call. So during the second week of December I called them on a Tuesday I was told that the windows should arrive on that Thursday or Friday and that I would receive a call. Thursday and Friday came and went and no call. So I called them on the following Monday and they said that my windows had arrived the previous Thursday. I was disappointed that no one called me to tell me this and wondered how long it would have taken for someone to contact me to notify me that my windows had come in. Anyway I scheduled the install for the very next day, Tuesday. The installer called me when he was on his way and was very prompt and professional. He installed the windows and me and my wife are happy. The windows look great! I just wish Window World had better communication with me and had contacted me about the windows arriving like they said they would.

I knew I wanted this company to replace my very old, leaky, sometimes bent aluminum windows as soon as I talked to and listened to their salesperson, Tom Scott. I got three estimates and he was the only one of the three that actually gave me information. I got the best price from Window World. The ordered windows arrived on time, as promised and they were installed just as the painters were finishing up.

I had two cracked windows that needed to be replaced before an open house on the 17th. Two weeks beforehand, called the Sidco Drive location and find the windows hadn't been ordered. Emailed and was called by the owner the next day, who put a rush on them, and got them here on time. Installation was fast (about 1.5 hours) and their team did a great job. Windows look great. Net/net, had some hiccups in the process, but as soon as it was on their radar, they took care of business and got the job done on time and in good fashion. Would definitely recommend Windows World, and plan on using them again.

They were on time and worked rapidly and didn't waste time. They had a six man crew and got it all completed in about six hours. They did a good job. I do have a couple of windows that need some minor adjustments. I am also having Window World do siding and gutters for me.

Positive experience. Will use them again. Everything was done in a professional manner and they telephoned a couple of weeks later to make sure we were happy with the service or needed anything fixed that was not correct. Wish they could have offered us a discount of some kind for as many windows as we ordered, but that didn't happen. Never hurts to ask! Very pleased with their product and service.

My entire Window World experience was a great one. Rich came out and did a demonstration of the Window World windows. We've had window demonstrations done before that took forever but the amount of time for this one was right on. Not too short, not too long. Gave a lot of great information and discussed working with our budget which I impressed by. We called back and told him that we would like to place order. He scheduled another time to come out to see us to discuss details - at that time he also measured for us. What I didn't realize before I called them was that they basically have two types of windows: the basic $189 window and then the Series 4000 energy efficient windows that are $259 each. We ordered 21 energy efficient windows with grids (an additional $38 per window) and 1 energy efficient slider window that was $383. The crew that came out was AWESOME! They were super professional and friendly. They welcomed my questions about the windows and installation process and I really appreciated that. They seemed like a very strong team and had the installation process down to a tee! One was carrying windows, while one was working on them from the outside, and yet another one was wrapping the windows and adding the finishing touches. Super efficient and it only took them about 6 hours to install all 22 windows. I think what might have impressed me the most was that they were respectful of not only me but of each other. They joked around and had a good time but you could tell that they They took two trips around the house picking up trash and debris and encouraged me to look at everything thoroughly to make sure that I was satisfied or didn't have any questions. When funds have been replenished I will most definitely be calling them back for the remainder of our windows. I love that the windows and screens have a lifetime guarantee that is transferrable to the next owner. Each window has it's own serial number and I can just call the company and let them know that window #1234 is broken or damaged and they will be able to pull it up in their system and know the exact size, color, etc. On a couple of occasions I spoke with Laura in the office and she was great also. In fact, as I was writing this I got a follow-up call from her just to check and make sure that I was still satisfied and didn't have any questions or concerns. WOW! I would highly recommend Window World. It was a wonderful experience for us from start to finish! Keep up the good work!

Representative came to the house measured windows. As an fyi - required to put half of the money down for the windows, which makes sense. Said it would be 3-4 weeks for them to manufacture. Received a call in 3 weeks & scheduled the install for the same week. The installers were fast, courteous, very cautious in the house and cleaned up the site of all debris. They were very professional and the windows are amazing.

The salesman was courteous, on time, and well prepared. He worked up quotes quickly and demonstrated the benefits of the product. However, I decided to have the windows repaired instead of replacing them.

The guy on the front end was very personable. He sliced his hand open, but he kept working.
