Description of Work: They installed the HVAC unit at a new house purchased by my daughter in July 2011. The unit did not cool the house, and it was determined to be undersized and also poorly designed ductwork by two other independent HVAC dealers. Temp Control, LLC provided us with a Manual J calculation which did not match the house in number of windows and types of doors. The calculations appeared to be falsified. When we presented this evidence to the builder, we were able to settle a small claims suit against the builder for money to replace the unit. We, therefore, did not use Temp Control, LLC to replace or service the new unit. When reading the reviews of Temp Control on Angie's List, I notice many sounded similar like maybe they were written by the same person. This company's ratings and reviews on Angie's List totally destroyed my confidence in Angie's List. I plan to cancel my subscription.

Description of Work: Our heating unit failed on a very cold Friday in January 2009. I made calls to a few of the high-profile companies that morning, thinking that those companies would be more likely to have multiple technicians and a higher likelihood of coming out quickly. At around 3pm, no one returned calls or showed up to diagnose the problem, and I started searching Angie's List for an alternative. I called Temp Control and was told someone could be at our home by 5:30pm. Eloy came and diagnosed the problem (unit needed to be replaced), and then spent time to ensure the size unit we needed to properly heat and cool our home. He and a technician promptly arrived on Saturday morning to install the new unit and replace some duct work. The new unit has worked beautifully since that time. We use Temp Control for a bi-annual maintenance service as well, and the technicians are always very polite and prompt. As this was an urgent need, we did not have an opportunity to compare prices with other companies at the time, however, after researching, I believe the pricing is very fair, especially given the work was done after regular hours. We highly recommend Temp Control to anyone needing HVAC service.

Description of Work: My usual service/repair person for my heating and air was not in town and recommended these guys. It was just before Christmas and my upstairs unit went out - not only did they arrive on time but found it was just a relay problem with the thermostat. A very nice experience!

Description of Work: I would use this company for everything if I could. The professionalism and quality work performed is second to none. They did not sell me anything I did not need. Their bid was lower than 4 others for the same work.

Description of Work: Problem: Excessive dust in one portion of the house. The amount of dust entering the house was extreme, it was obvious something was very wrong with our duct system. We joined Angie's List to find a good Heat & Air company, after reading the reviews I chose 4 companies to quote on resolving the problem. Temp Control was one of the companies I chose, the salesman evaluated the problem and offered his solution. He said the entire duct system needed replaced, he also said the return registers needed replaced as well. The return registers were less than three years old, at this point I started having doubts thinking he was trying to pad the bill, especially since I am a senior citizen. He gave me a price of $5973.00 and said it would take 4 days to do the job. I finally gave the job to a competitor, he replaced the entire duct system excepting the return registers for a total of $4159.00 and they did the job in 11 hours, not only that, they leak checked the entire house. It has been a week now and our dust problem is gone an I saved $1814.00 by going with their competitor. Without Angie's list I would have taken a major hit.

Description of Work: Over the winter, my home central air conditioning units had leaked some of the freon gas from both the upstairs and downstairs units. Another company came to service the units and stated that both units needed to be replaced as the coils had large holes and had released the gas. The service man said I could pay for his company to replace both units or he and his friends could come after work and change out the units at a reduced price. I felt there was something very wrong and decided to get a second opinion. I called Temp Control - LLC because of a recommendation from a HVAC supply house. Eloy came to my home and evaluated my two HVAC units and said, I have a very small leak in both units and if you charges them up they should last the entire summer. He charged both units and they lasted the entire summer. I also purchased a service agreement and he now services both HVAC units. I also recommended Temp Control to service and replace HVAC units at my son's home as well as my daughter's home. Eloy and the entire Temp Control team are truly HVAC professionals.
