The technician did a good job finding the problem immediately and replacing the control board. However, I am shocked to see the price of this part. The price I found for the control board is around $50 up or down. I was charged $425 for the service plus an additional $65 for the service call. It took him less than 30 minutes to install the board, not counting the trip to get the board. The company would not give me an hourly rate for a technician before hand. I am so disappointed in this company now. I have read some of the reviews posted on the internet about their pricing and I have to agree price gauging. If you don't know what's wrong with your unit how can you get a quote from a company? Hire again I DON'T KNOW, even though I said yes.

They used to be excellent as other reviews may attest to. I was a customer for many years including installation of two unit on two separate occasions. However, their prices have gone up while their service has declined. Some jobs seem beyond their skill. A few years ago the tube leading from the condensate pump became blocked in an inaccessible area. Temp control's first response was to begin demolition of the wall to gain access to the tube. I stopped them and got a second opinion. Glad I did. That contractor simply used a pneumatic compressor and forced the clog out. No destruction, minimal cost. Been working fine since. I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt since I had been a long time customer. I needed some duct work done due to uneven heating and cooling. They charged me over $750 and afterwards there was no difference in the air handling. I eventually got someone more competent to make the necessary adjustments including adding a second air return, which seemed not to have occurred to Temp Control. All works better and more quietly with less strain on the system. In the meantime, since I already had the annual maintenance contract in place, I called to at least get servicing and the day before the scheduled appointment they called to cancel and reschedule due to a problem on their end, Okay, things happen. But they couldn't reschedule for several weeks at which point I was going out of town. It was mid June before they did the Spring servicing. I told the phone rep how disappointed I was becoming with their service. I explained why. I have dealt with the owner on many occasions. He never reached out to me. Apparently unhappy customers are unwelcome customers. Today I was getting multiple bids from various HVAC firms and called Temp Control just to get an estimate annual servicing. I was told I they weren't doing business with me as I had been unhappy. I don't want to do business with them, but I am appalled at how cavalierly they toss a long time customer who really hasn't caused problems except to be disappointed in the way they operate. Rather than be an ex-customer, it's better to never become one.

Estimate was prompt and installation within a few days after. Everything went smooth and completed the same day as, promised. Included increase in size of the return air vent and running one enlarged vent line. Includes installation of UV light and one free 6 months check-up. I plan to use Temp Control for 6 month service calls on this Trane unit.

I debated whether or not to write this review, but after I took a step back, I felt I needed to share. I was appalled at the unprofessional way Eloy behaved via text after I informed him I was going with a lower bid to replace my entire HVAC system in my home. The backstory is that several months ago I purchased a 10 year old home with a 10 year old HVAC system. I had several coworkers who highly recommended Temp Control, so when our ac started to struggle, I knew who to call. Everyone in their office was very friendly and I signed up for and paid to join the comfort club. The technician was very knowledgeable and friendly, but delivered the bad news of a very bad leak and a list of other problems. He set me up to have Eloy come out ASAP to take a look and work up an estimate to replace. Eloy came out and was very friendly at first. I had acquired another bid to replace the system from another company, so I had something to compare Temp Controls price to. I imagine that Temp Controls prices are very good in the Nashville area, but I had received a much lower quote from a trusted company that I have had family members use in the past. I informed Eloy that I would be using the other company via text after he texted me with another estimate. I told him it was significantly lower than his and the warranty was better. He insisted upon knowing the price, and things quickly went downhill when I told him. I have included a screen shot of the text message. I realize that texts can be misconstrued for emotion and their true intent, but this was insulting to insinuate that I am clueless and haven’t done my due diligence on a contractor. I firmly believe he could have tactfully handled this situation in a much more professional way. Had he not sent this text I would have been happy to consider them for any future needs and even recommend them. Instead he chose to burn those bridges which is why I am writing this review. I also suspect that he would not have spoken to me in this manner if I were a man. I am truly disappointed in how this was handled.

The team showed up on time and completed the work well. Good cleanup, respect for my neighbors. They offered a few price options and explained the merits of each in terms of efficiency and longevity. Also made clear when I was purchasing products manufactured in the US, which I appreciate. Only very light sales pressure, which I also appreciate. A/C actually failed in early July - not a good time! I had just come back from an expensive vacation and couldn't afford the work. The gentleman who came out for the initial call showed me how to keep the A/C sort of running as best it could for a whole month while I gathered together funds to get the job done.

They have a comfort club that I joined, and it’s normally $130 for two visits a year, but they gave me a special price of $100 a year. They came out here and they were just very proficient and professional with the job they did, and did it in a very timely manner. Nothing could have been done to better the service.

The replacement went like clockwork and the new unit functions very well. Temp Control has replaced two HVAC units for us (first was 5-ton unit that serves the lower two floors), and both experiences have been excellent.

From our first contact with Temp Control staff, they impressed. Office staff, technicians, installers, and owner Eloy Saban clearly communicated with us every step of the way, arrived when they said they would, explained our options, and even worked with us on financing terms when we decided to have the HVAC unit replaced. The entire replacement process took one day, including removal of every scrap of the old equipment, and our home and was left clean and wonderfully cool. They even sent handwritten thank-you notes after the initial visit and after the installation. We've become members of Temp Control's Comfort Club annual maintenance program, and would call them again in a heartbeat.

I chose Temp Control based on the reviews. I called and was pleasantly greeted by Ms. Scarlett who listened attentively to my situation and informed me that she could have someone at my home between 2 - 4 PM. She obtained my contact information and informed me that someone would call me 30-45 prior to arrival to confirm. Mike called between 12:45 - 1:15 to let me know he was on his way. Upon arrival he graciously allowed my dogs to jump on him and show some love. He kindly put on his shoe protectors and we reviewed the situation, I escorted him to the units and informed him to make himself at home, I would be working upstairs. He returned a few minutes later to inform me the motor had gone out. I explained the unit should be under warranty and before I could say I needed to confirm, he had already called the manufacturer to obtain the warranty information. Boy was I impressed. He escorted me to the unit to explain what his diagnostic had discovered. During this time my husband arrived and the three of us discussed the resolution. Mike left to obtain the parts required for repair. He promptly returned, repaired the unit, and went through the charges with us. He also recommended Semi-Annual Maintenance that I informed him I would most definitely consider.

Eloy the owner came out to provide a quote. I explained the issues I had with my current system including inconsistent performance between rooms and poor cooling performance. He performed an assessment of the living area and determined the unit upstairs was oversized and made a few recommendations to improve overall performance including the addition of dampers and relocating the thermostat. After agreeing to a price within a few days the install team was onsite to install the new unit. The install team played down tarps to keep our carpets clean and got the old unit out and the new unit in without issue. Overall the install took about six hours and it was a great experience.

The Temp Control team is top notch! The technicians, the receptionist, the owner--they are kind and helpful. In late spring, they came and inspected my AC. It was blowing warm air. They added freon but advised me, due to the age of the system, that I might need to replace the unit. The system ran well till almost September. When it died, the owner came out and inspected. It was leaking freon and the blower motor was broken. It was a hot Friday. I ended up reviewing the options for a new unit and choosing one. It was installed last Monday. The things I appreciate the most--their honesty and kindness, they showed up on time, they finished on time, they cleaned up their work, the system works well! I'd highly recommend them to others!

The provider responded quickly to a request for a quote. The quote was competitive. The work was scheduled and done just a few days later. The installers conducted themselves professionally. A minor problem with the thermostat was identified at a later time but was taken care of by the contractor on the day it was discovered.
