Description of Work: Doug is a great guy, and very reliable. He was able to repair my older plasma tv with great satisfaction. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: Doug charged the agreed-upon amount for a sevice call. It seems that one of my cats had managed to step on my tv , and as a result the tv no longer worked. Doug asked me to describe the problem I was experiencing with the tv ober the telephone and waa abble to assue me that it was probably nothing serious. He saved me the costnof buying a replacement tv when one wasn't needed. |

Description of Work: came to fix one DLP TV. Diagnosis, needs/must order new lamp. In the meantime, 2nd DLP TV goes out. On his 2nd trip to my house, Doug fixed 1st TV and diagnosed 2nd TV, also new lamp. 3rd trip to my house, fixes 2nd TV. Doug only charged one service fee of $30 for all 3 trips, unlike another service a bit closer to me who wanted $70 for every trip. So, basically, $300 for parts and labor to fix 2 TVs. Couldn't be happier, and Doug couldn't be more fair. He even showed my son how to do it ourselves if/when there's a next time with the lamps!! Would absolutely call Doug again for anything TV repair I ever need.

Description of Work: Doug came out to the house. He checked TV over said the TV was too old he couldn't get parts for it. He didn't charge a service charge.

Description of Work: Our VCD-DVD player would not work. Doug quickly discovered that one of the plugs that connects the player to the TV had be disconnected. He quickly reconnected the two and the player worked immediately. He only charged $30.00 for the service call. We will definitely call him again!

Description of Work: Service was set through the maker of our tv. The appt was for over a week away. Two hours after making the appt, Doug's called and could be at my house in less than an hour because they had a repairman in the area and wanted to see if that would be okay. Of course! The repairman was friendly and efficient. And he did not mind my cats snooping through everything. Took 45 minutes and my tv was back in business. The best part was that the manufacturer paid for it but if I need tv repair again, I will call Doug's.

Description of Work: Service was provided in a professional, yet friendly, manner. Ample time was spent conversing with my husband about the problem and trying different solutions. As the TV was an older one it was not feasible to repair it so no charge was billed. Considering the time and effort invested we paid the basic visit charge plus $50.

Description of Work: TV stopped working. Doug came next day, took the back off the tv, tested, determined a specific board related to power needed to be replaced. He ordered it, had it delivered to him, and he came back and installed it. TV works!

Description of Work: We used Doug's TV Repair on two different occasions. On the first visit, he made a very small and inexpensive repair. He could certainly have charged much more and we would never have known the difference. A couple of years later we had another problem and called him again. This time he said the TV really would not be worth the cost of the repair. We took him at his word and bought another TV. I appreciated the fact that he didn't stick us for an expensive repair when he knew we would have another problem in a short period of time.

Description of Work: 5 year old lcd in which the sound board went out. Rep came out to inspect, quoted me the price to fix and ordered the part. Philips sent a faulty replacement board the first time but he ordered another right away and came over the day after it came in. Very friendly, clearly knew what he was doing, and certainly cheaper than replacing the set altogether. Would highly recommend.

Description of Work: I have a 37 inch Toshiba LCD HDTV that went out on me suddenly one day while I was watching it. I google searched TV repair and found Doug. He was very professional and was able to meet me within the same week I called(much faster than any other places which usually have a 7-10 business day wait). I also really liked that he came to my home so I didn't have to lug my big TV to a shop somewhere. He told me exactly what was wrong and charged me a $30 fee upfront for the estimate which was later applied to my cost of repair (total amount of $200). He was friendly, professional, and right on time and made the experience of repairing my TV less stressful I will definately be using him again!
