Fair Heating & Air called the next morning and were able to show up at noon. They diagnosed the problem (blown capacitor) and had the unit operating in about an hour. They took extra effort to explain what they found and provided the fix. The fix required a trip to their warehouse to get the correct part. They were very considerate of my time and were able to retrieve the part in short order.

The heater seems to be working and we haven't had any issues. We would probably recommend him. He did his work and was fast about it. He didn't leave a mess or anything and he put booties on so I don't have to worry about my carpet or anything getting ruined. He got the job done and we haven't had any problems. The price seemed reasonable to me. He was nice, I didn't have to sit and watch him and I felt comfortable with him.

Although I was pretty sure of the problem, I did not have the expertise or ability to fix it and was dreading the cost and uncertainty (trust-worthiness) of dealing with the 'pros'. I relied on Angie's List and am glad I did. I had never heard of Fair Heating and Air and, although their number of reviews were limited, they were all excellent which my experience later confirmed were justified. Another deciding factor in giving them a try was I scanned the other top rated companies and their reviews specifically for services provided and their cost. Although I'm no expert, I noticed most of the other company prices were quite high regardless of the services provided and many gave the impression all their calls turned out to be major repairs with major price-tags. If you look at Fair Heating reviews, including mine, most of the prices charged were relatively modest and exactly that-fair. I called one of the other highly rated companies (Advanced) looking for a cost estimate based on what I thought was needed and got the run around (of course they were wanting a service call and diagnostic fee before they could give me an estimate). Only after insisting they give me an estimate based on what I thought was wrong did they agree to call me back with one. Three days later and I am still waiting for that call. In the meantime, I called Fair and Igore (the owner) immediately answered and gave me the estimate I requested. I told him I would like to have him go ahead and fix it and that I could wait until next week seeing it was already Friday afternoon. Igore 'insisted' on coming out yet that afternoon saying he did not want to leave me without heat over the weekend. I told him I had a doctor's appointment which he agreed to work around and did- calling me ahead of time to make sure I was home. Igore turned out to be very professional and neat (including putting on shoe covers before entering my home). He was through in about 45 minutes even though he had to crawl through a ceiling access panel to get to the unit returning to show me the damaged part before replacing it. When it came to settling the bill, he charged me exactly what he quoted including a senior discount. I'll use Igore again and continue to recommend him as long as he continues to be that- Fair Heating and Air.

Arrived on time and provided a quick repair. Pleased with service and my wife was happy with the crew.

next day service and was on time and I was afraid it was going to cost a small fortune I was at his mercy since was 90 degrees in my house but his price was fair and i was so happy with the quailty of his work now the AC is working better than it did 4 years ago when was first installed

Igore called and arrived as he stated. Checked the system, have had others out but they did not check the thermostat or temp at the ducts. Found the problem fixed it and was gone in less than 30 minutes.
