Saw the ad on Angies list for an AC tune-up. Bought it. Called the company and they came out and did the tune and also replaced our old thermostat with a new one. Very satisfied with the quality of work and the time it took to do it.

Recommend to use, safe, reliable and on time.

Went well. This was preplanned service. Only several days from call to schedule to actual service date. Was given a 3 hour window of arrival time with a call about 30 minutes prior to actual arrival time. Service techs were well mannered and well dressed. Well versed in trade and explanation of services

Very well. The men were running late but called and came on out.

Advanced showed up on time. Service was performed in a workman-like fashion. Price quoted was price paid. Pleased with entire experience.

He completed the work. He did a good job and he was professional.

It was great. They did everything they said they would do.

Saturday 10/6/2012 purchased online discount inspection cupon. Monday morning 10/8/2012 Advanced contacted me to see if I needed service. Scheduled a noon time appointment for same day service. Technicions were very prompt and on time! Inspection revealed that my 28 year old system was beyond reasonable repair. Technicians provided on location quote for complete change out with new system. After many price / warranty comparrisions "ADVANCED" was clearely the best deal for me. On wednesday I contacted Advanced to schedule the installation of new system on Thursday afternoon 10/11/2012. Technicions called as before and gave a 20 minute notice of arrival. arrival was very punctual! They removed old slab (3" concrete with rebar) and replaced it with a new slab that fit the new unit, made necessary modifications to connect to existing ducting and installed the new unit. their clean up was exemplary! the site was neater than it was before they arrived! Advanced Heating and Air are definately my "GO TO" heat and cool company! I will recomend this company to others.

Overall I was very pleased with the work. The A/C unit was thoroughly cleaned and I was given recommendations for keeping the unit clean and when future cleanings would be needed. They were on time and stayed as long as necessary to get the job done.

I have an Amana 15 SEER heat pump that is only 2 yrs old (it was not installed by Advanced Heating & Air but by an individual that no longer works on them). On the afternoon of Sept 13th, I noticed that my system started cycling on and off. It wasn't a normal run time. It would come on and run 10 to 15 seconds then cut off for approximately the same time. It kept repeating this cycle. Sometimes it ran a little longer and sometimes it stayed off longer. After about an hour of this, I decided to shut the system off to see if it would reset or something. I left it off for 30 minutes then turned it back on but it continued the cycling on and off. I decided to call Advanced Heating & Air. The lady who answered the phone said it could be several things that could cause this. We set up for the Service Tech to come the next day before noon. She said they would call me before they arrived. She also told me about a Angie's List Special for a half price service call priced at $37.50 (regularly $75) or a 10% off the entire service that would be done. Since my system was only 2 yrs old plus I had bought an extra 10 yrs parts & labor warranty when it was installed, I choose the half price service call. She told me I could either purchase it online through Angie's List or I could wait and pay the Service Tech. I choose to wait to pay. The cycling problem stopped around 7 pm that same day which left me trying to decide if I should cancel the appointment or not. I decided to go on and let them come out. The next morning I got the call around 9:30am that they were on the way and of course the system wasn't acting up. Travis & another man arrived. Gave him the symptoms I had experienced and what I had done. He had a few ideas and checked several things. They checked the outside unit & the inside unit. Everything looked good according to his test equipment and they couldn't find what had caused the cycling. He told me that even though I still had to pay for the half price service call today, I had 30 days that if the problem surfaced again they would come back out and not charge me another service call. Which I thought was very fair. They left and wouldn't you know it at 2:20pm exactly, my system started cycling on & off again. I remembered that when my system is normally running, the thermostat will click when it first comes on and clicks again when it shuts off. I was hearing the click when it came on but it wasn't clicking when it was doing all the cycling on & off but it did eventually click off and stay off for a while. Around 3:30 or so, I decided to call the office and report my problem was occurring again and pass along the additional info about the thermostat. It was late Friday on one of the biggest football weekends in Knoxville. The only person in the office was the owner. I filled him in on what had happened the day before, that day with the service call and the addition info I'd gathered. Since my house was staying cool, he said they would come back out on Monday (they don't work on the weekend). They would be sure to bring a new thermostat and told me they were getting ready to put out another Angie's List Special on a thermostat soon but would let me have the discount if it did turn out to be the thermostat. This time we scheduled for the Service Tech to come in the afternoon since the problem didn't seem to start until after 2pm. Gradually over the weekend the cycling started occurring all the time but the house was staying cool. I learned additional info while the cycling was occurring over the weekend. When the cycling was happening, the outside compressor was running all the time. It was not cycling on & off. When the outside compressor came on the thermostat clicked on and when the outside compressor cut off the thermostat clicked off. From this I came to believe there was something wrong with the fan instead of the thermostat. I decided to contact Advanced through Angie's List online so they could have the additional info before they arrived on Monday. On Monday Travis and the other man came back. Luckily the system was acting up. Travis thought it was a bad relay at the fan/blower in the inside unit/air handler. He replaced with a relay he had on his truck but it didn't fix the problem. He did some more testing and found out I had a bad blower motor & relay. He thought the part should be in stock but said you never know and that would depend on how quickly it could be repaired. Since it was not an especially hot day, he said it would be best on the system if I turned the system off which I did. He said they would call me the next day telling when they would be back to repair. Because of my crazy schedule, I asked that they not call until afternoon which they did. On Tuesday the 18th, the lady called telling me the parts were in stock and they would be out that day to replace if my schedule permitted. She told I would owe around $115 (can't remember the exact amount now) for the parts & labor which included an additional discount they were giving me. I then proceeded to tell them about the additional warranty I had purchased when I bought the new system. She put me on hold to check online with the manufacturer. She came back online and told me that I did have the additional warranty so I would owe nothing. It was just a short time after that Travis called and was on his way. He put on the new parts and tested a bunch of stuff again on the inside unit. He also tested the heating element in it since it wouldn't be long before heating season would begin. He came inside to test the temperature of the air coming from the air vent. He put on shoe coverings before coming inside. Everything checked out good. I want to tell you that I am so impressed with this company and especially with Travis. He was very friendly but very professional and you could tell he knew his stuff. The company offered me many discounts even though I only needed the half price service call. While I hope I don't need them again any time soon, I will definitely use them in the future when I do.

These guys are rock stars! They had our A/C up and running in less than ten minutes. They also gave us good advice on how to prevent future problems. A+++++++

exceptional attention to detail and promptness. Travis called me with arrival time, and he was prompt and courteous. Travis was extremely professional and from the moment I met him I could tell he was intelligent and sharp. I felt very comfortable with Travis, he was honest and did not try to sell things I did not need. He had an assistant with him, they worked quickly, efficiently and performed excellent work at a fair price. I will definitely use these folks in the future.

These guys will be my HVAC contractor whenever I need one in the future. They were professional, punctual, and personable as well. They even showed me a couple of ways to cut costs on my heating and cooling! I'll definitely use them again in the future.

He was on time, but seemed like he was in a hurry. He didn't take covers off to check inside the HVAC unit, nor did he come in the house to check the thermostat.Our experience was just okay.

He took my hose and washed off the coils on the compressor, then came in the house and checked the temp coming out of the vent and said everything was great. It is now a month later, on a Friday night, and my unit has quit working and they have no 24-hour service. I'm not sure what they consider an "air duct inspection" unless it was holding the meter up to the vent. And I guess the unit wasn't "great" or it wouldn't have quit a month later when the daytime temps are near 90. His comment on my receipt was "system working well." Needless to say, I am not happy since I have now had to call another company and will doubtless spend a lot of money getting my A/C fixed.

They came to my home and quickly found where the AC system and return filters were located. The cleaning service and feedback was quite professional. I was pleased with this experience with this company.

Had three separate visits, the first for an inspection and system cleaning, the second two for an estimate for a second system in a newly purchase house. Technician arrived in a timely manner. the second visit for the estimate had a miscommunication and the owner arrived the day after I expected him. Quote was received promptly.

All went well. Arrived promptly. Inspected, cleaned, etc.

Super nice and efficient. They said they would be here in the afternoon. When 6:00 rolled around, I doubted they were coming. I then got the call they were on the way, if that was okay. They were friendly and efficient and did my semi-annual cleaning and inspection.

Excellent vendor. Showed up on time and did an excellent job. I plan to contract them for a annual service contract.

They accomodated my later schedule. Serviceman was very nice and answered all my questions. I also asked if they could provide me with an estimate to put a whole house humidifier on my system for use during the Winter. They called back the next day with the estimate. I wouldn't consider the quote a real bargain at $595 but it's probably what most companies charge. They said the quote would be valid into the Fall when I plan to have it put in. I didn't think about when they gave me the quote but I will be asking for their Angie's List discount on top of that.

It doesn't surprise me at all to read all the wonderful comments on Angie's List. Advanced Heat and Air is the most honest company I have ever used for any type of service. They are my first call, no matter what goes wrong or quits working. Though they are a heat and air company, they fixed an issue I was having with my electricity. I only wished they did landscaping and lawn mowing!!!!
