Advanced Heat, A/C, & Plumbing

It worked out fine and I may be calling him back. We have an issue with one of the units. He came out shortly after we called them. They came out at separate time. They were here when they said they would be.

Very professional HVAC contractor. Showed up when they said they would & cleaned up the units, thank you.

-Andrew, technician, called b/t 12:30 pm & 1 pm and said he'd be at my house in about 15 minutes. He did, indeed, arrive on time. He stepped out of the truck, appropriately dressed for his line of work, and extended his hand while introducing himself. He asked to see all the equipment, so he knew what he would be working on. For the very first time ever, he actually removed the lid of the cabinet of the outside coil (condensing unit). He looked around, then began spraying on TopTech's Top-Brite concentrate foaming non-acid coil cleaner. No one had ever sprayed down the inside of the coil fins. I am attaching a pic of that and the open cabinet lid with fan suspended inside. Andrew also sprayed the outside of the coil, oiled the fan housing (he could not oil the fan in the air handler, inside, as it's a variable speed unit). While the spray did its work, he used a shop vac to vacuum out all the holly leaves that had collected in the bottom of the condensing unit (I am SO impressed with the completeness of this job!!! I had began wondering what would happen when the leaves became deep enough to interfere with the operation of the pump - I'm wondering no longer.) When Andrew was in the house to see where the thermostat is located, he turned it from "heat" to "cool", then hooked up the gauges on the outside coil, to collect pressures in both lines (discharge and ??). I asked Andrew if it were possible for someone to change the calibration on the gauges. He said, "Well...yeah...but... why would anyone want to do that?" I then proceeded to tell him about another company that had just been out and how I had smelled a rat - they had tried to get me to believe that there was an oil leak (it had rained the night before and a little bit of rain had collected in the corner of the cabinet) and that the freon was down about 3.5 pounds. I told Andrew it was so a company could drum up business for work that was not needed. Andrew gave the condensing unit a clean bill of health. -While I was busy in the kitchen, Andrew checked the electrical draw of all the wiring connections in the air handler. He also placed a tablet in the condensate tray, to keep down any algae growth. He also inspected the drain accesses from the condensate pan; he found some crust building up and scraped that loose, then flushed out the drain line. -He then checked the thermostat - which also got a clean bill of health. -While Andrew was checking the filter, I mentioned to him that I had used his company the previous year and the c-washer broke, which held the filter door in place. He said he would look to see if he had something that would work. He even thought he could fashion one, but that didn't work. We left it that, if he thought of it and found a c-washer, that would be great but, if not, to not worry about it. -From leaving an Angie's List message, to making the appointment, to having the work done, I would recommend this company one million percent.

They are very responsive to service needed. I've been using them for over a year now.

After the ducts were cleaned , I could not tell any difference the quality of air coming through the cleaned ducts. There is still lots of dust. The person who cleaned the ducts had me sign on a device when they were finished with the cleaning and he said he would email me the paid invoice. I never received it.

I have used them in the past before. It worked out great and they took good care of us. The guy that came out was very knowledgeable and explained what he was doing. We like them and will definitely use them again. They got the job done in about one hour.

The service went well. We had to have them come out during the night time. The technician was very pleasant to work with and did a great job. There were a lot of ACs out in the area so it took a bit to get him out which was understandable. I did not feel overcharged for the emergency call.

The technician seemed very knowledgeable and took the time to point out various things about our system.

This is second time I've hired a service tech from Advanced Heating and Air. Both guys were prompt, professional and courteous. It's been a while..I can't remember the first techs name, however, Andrew was the tech who took care of things today. He was friendly, competent and efficient. Made sure to clean up after the job was done and took away the old parts. Thanks. I would highly recommend these guys!

It was fine. Nothing really stood out. It was all very routine. They seem to be fine.

I am very happy with them as they are very quick to respond to your calls and e-mails. The furnace was just a bad part which they replaced. I had an issue that night after they fixed and they came back out the next day and fixed right away. The AC I was very happy on as I thought for sure was the compressor however they found it was just a small cheap part that needed to be replaced. They could have lied and made money on me but they did not and I am very glad they are honest. I will for sure use them again.

I purchased a home and the previous owners had pets. To put the situation in perspective, I swept up, with a broom, enough pet hair to half way fill a 30 gallon trash bag. There's no telling what the shop vac picked up. I removed all the carpet from the home and scheduled Advanced to come out to clean the duct work. There was a bit of confusion on the address for the cleaning which turned out to be my fault. I hadn't updated my address with Angie's list and Advanced went to the address on file. We got that straightened out, the guys arrived, reviewed the home and HVAC system, return and supply vent locations, and got to work. They leave what was pulled from the vents on the floor next to each vent. For the average home owner, this makes for a good opportunity to find that thing you lost down the vent last year. For me, it provided a good indication of why I'm happy I called Advanced. There was at least two cups worth of indescribable yuck next to each vent. All told, I'm very happy with the results. I put a fresh filter in place on the system and I'm confident I'm breathing easier as my HVAC system.

Pressure switch was bad on our furnace and this caused us to lose heat in our house. We are under home warranty, and Advanced was the only local company used by the warranty insurance. The technician came out to the house and I explained what the problem was, the technician was very condescending to me, (I do understand this as most homeowners do not understand their system). He finally acknowledged that the pressure switch was bad. I was told that the home warranty company would have to order the part. The home warranty folks were very helpful and stated they would approve the order as soon as it was received, but Advanced would order the part. They told me this would happen within the hour. More than 2 hours later, I called to check on the status of the part order and was told that the invoice was not sent to the home warranty company as of yet. The time is now 12:30, I have no heat in the house despite being assured by the technician that his temporary repairs would hold until the part was replaced (I explained that this would not be the case, but was again dismissed). I called the office and was told by Michael the invoice had not been received by the technician in the field as of yet (which is really humorous as I got the invoice from the technician within 5 minutes of his visit). I am a former business owner and i can assure you that i would have gone out of business if I tread my customers the way I was treated today. The day is wearing on, no results, no heat, and I can only say I am very disappointed in the lack of response by this local company. By the way, going down to 30 degrees tonight:) The home warranty company has been great, and have been pressuring them to make the repair. I would never recommend Advanced to anyone. Michael

When they came out to the work, they realized they cannot install it with the piping I have, so I did not end up using the deal.

Technician was courteous and professional. I liked that the technician wore shoe covers. Following the service, the technician apprised me of the the status of my furnace and pointed out an item or two to keep an eye on in the future. I was unhappy with the punctuality and communication regarding the first appointment that was made and not kept.

It was fine. They did exactly what they were supposed to do and they actually came back. I hired them to do something else as well. It worked out just fine. They were very prompt. They called before they came. Nothing but good things to say about them. The price was very reasonable for what they did.

It went well. The problem that we had was they thought they had the problem fixed, it did work for awhile but there was wiring done wrong so they have to come back. It wasn't fixed on the very first time but they do take care of the problem. It took a few trials to get it completely done but they were able to successfully fix the problem eventually and we haven't had any problem since then. Because it was around Christmas and New year and we kept having them to come back, it was the frustrations of delays...the first time they identified the part needed to be replaced but they didn't have that part so it had to be ordered. Couple of days went by they came back with the part, put the part in but the part ended up being put in wrong so it ran for 24 hours and then they have to come back again. It was like the third trip that we finally got the eventual problem fixed but because of it being around Christmas and New Year that we ran into problems, they wouldn't like to come back on that same day or the next day. The last guy that came out was the most experienced, he was very friendly and helpful. He got the work done completely and gave me his home phone number just in case there was a problem.

They were very personable and knowledgeable; they told me what I needed to know. They cleaned up well after themselves. The service went very well.

I contacted Advanced Heating and Air because my heat pump stopped working in the middle of the night and the thermostat had no power. This was my first time contacting Advanced, so I was a new customer. They were very responsive and had a tech to my house within a couple of hours of calling. The tech was able to pinpoint the problem within 5 minutes of arriving and had the issue resolved and the heat pump working within 30 minutes.

The service provider was prompt, on time and very thorough and professional.

Purchased tune-up on Angie's List. Went as expected.

Our unit started blowing out cold air. We tried several techniques to make our system work. Unfortunately we couldn't get it working on our own. We ended up calling Advance and someone came out within a couple of hours. We ended up getting a new unit because our old unit had broken down almost every season. They installed our new unit, and always called before they were going to come by. The only reason I gave them a B rating was because they had to change out a part from our new unit. We asked to have a document showing when this had been done for our records. I asked several times to have this sent to me. We have yet to receive anything on the part being changed out.
