Advanced Heat, A/C, & Plumbing

Advanced Heating and Air had to reschedule a couple of times, and I ended up canceling and getting a refund because I sold my home before they could perform the service.

Matt was very courteous, punctual and helpful!! I would highly recommend him and Advanced to anyone. As new home owners in the area, we really, really appreciate having someone available we know we can count on.

It went well. The provider determined that the last maintenance person had installed the fan in reverse, causing the motor to be overworked. He corrected the fan direction.

The main drain pipe was stopped up on my air unit in the attic which had the backup drain running out to the soffat on the side of the house and water was running down the siding from time to time. Rather than having a full-blown service call, I ordered the check-up maintenance deal Advance was offering on Angie's List. This service took care of the problem for only $59 plus a lot of other check up work. Great deal and great service!

slow but thoughal...would use them again for preventive maintenance. I went with a different provider for the installation of the inside ac unit to the tune of 2250.00 which was higher than quoted originally. I had to remind installer that I get a senior citizen discount which I learned from talking with Angieslist service reps. Bottom line, I was happy with the work and the final price. The installer was Dean's heating and cooling out of Knoxville. Thanks again Angieslist !

It went very quickly. It was well done and the technician was friendly and knowledgable.

It was fine. He was very thorough and very quick. He told me what he was doing. I was very pleased with him. He just checked it over and cleaned it. It didn't need any new parts. Because it was a sale price, it was tremendous.

I've used Advanced for three seasons now. They have been easy to schedule with, showed up when scheduled, and did their job competently.

I have used this company before, and will always use them in the future. They are an honest and fair company, and they've always been professional. The tech that came out this time was a little grumpy at first, but I think he had been having a bad day. He quickly warmed up, and was informative and funny throughout his visit. He fixed my unit very quickly and I finally had cool air. My unit stopped cooling the next day, so the tech came right back. He fixed the problem, and actually stayed a little extra time going above and beyond for me (all no charge). I really appreciated that. I know that I can trust Advanced Heating and Air to do a good job, and do it right. They don't take shortcuts, nor do they try to add to the job with unnecessary repairs. They're the only company I call for my heating and air needs.

Brian Cook was the tech and he did a great job. I have done business with this company before and have bought the service package and always been satisfied with the quality of the work. My air went out over the weekend and I called Monday morning for service. I was disappointed that I had to wait one day but glad that it was fixed. Both my husband and myself are old and disabled so the heat is really tough on us. Brian called to let us know he was 20 minutes out, arrived on time and promptly diagnosed the problem. And thanks to the scheduling clerk, we knew to shut the unit down which was a good thing since we turned it off last night and there were still chunks of ice in the bottom of the unit today. Brian fixed the problem promptly and it was putting out cold air before he left. He even took the time to answer my husband's questions about the unit's shortcomings. Turns out it's not the unit. I will be buying another service package this fall. Thank you to all.

I purchased the service Jun. 10, 2015 and listed my preferred dates of service. I did not hear from the contractor. I called 29 Jun. 2015 Advanced Heating & Air to schedule a service date. I was told I was on the list to be contacted for a service date and that they would call me to schedule a date when they got caught up on their service call. As of 27 Jul. 2015 I have not hear from Advance Heating & Air to schedule a service date. I would like to have my payment refunded. Why do I need to enter a work date when no work has been done???

Absolutly nothing no call no show. I bought the package and after setting up the apt. never heard from them again. Extremely frustrated with this company!

The young man who came out was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The problem I have with this company is that they have absolutely no consideration for their customers' time. Like the cable company, they schedule you for a 4-5 hour window, but still don't manage to arrive during that time period! My window was from 8-12:30. When I called around lunch time, the young lady who answered the phone seemed annoyed that I would dare to ask why the technician had not arrived within the 4 hour window. She had absolutely no idea where he was, or how long it would be before he arrived. Later, I discussed all this with the technician. He indicated that the techs are so overscheduled that they don't even know which customers were actually scheduled for the morning window vs. the afternoon window. Wow. . .this is a great example of a contractor who is so "fat, dumb, and happy" as they say that they believe it's fine to mistreat their customers. Unfortunately, Knoxville, TN seems to be full to the gills with good old boy businesses of this type. I might use this company again since the young man seemed fine, but they should fire their admin staff and start treating their customers with some respect. . .unprofessional behavior of this type will eventually cost them, big time.

It turned out fantastic. Their technician, Matt, was professional and informative. He explained what was included with the air conditioning tune up. He was very thorough. He was honest. I can tell the difference. My air conditioning is a little bit cooler than it was before. I felt like I got to know a little bit about the company. I would use them if I have an air conditioning problem in the future.

Great! Showed up on time. The company had to make several phone calls and send several emails because I kept having to reschedule. They were always very accommodating and nice about it. The service person was on time, very professional, courteous and did a great job.

Service took about a week to schedule; however, it was right before the July 4th holiday, so thought this was very reasonable. Serviceman was prompt, worked diligently until the job was finished. Very professional and courteous. Got this service for a great price. We used them for the same service at another property the same day. Will definitely use again and recommend highly!

The replacement was done for the outdoor faucet. Because it was older pipes (1945), the replacement took longer than expected and required extra parts. There was no extra charge, the man was very friendly and did a great job. I will definitely use them again.

He checked over our ac. Apparently we had signed up for a service call, not a checkup, but he actually did a little more than we had paid for.

It went well. The only thing I didn't like was the pricing for 2 lbs of refrigerant. The 1st pound cost $165 and the 2nd was something like $65 -$75 (don't remember). I needed 2 lbs, but couldn't stomach this pricing structure. Otherwise, all is well.

.Note: I used my Home Warranty, with American Home Shield - AC wasn't cooling as it should. Contacted AHS to request a work order 15 June. TECH arrived on the 18th of June, completed his review of the system, explained what was wrong (leak, bad coils). He said he would submit the info needed to AHS to action the repair. Called AHS the following Monday 22 June. AHS reported they had not heard anything from Advanced. Called Advanced asking when they thought they would inform AHS . Was on hold 30 mins. Advanced said they would do it that day. Call back on Thurs to check with Advanced regarding the status. Advanced stated they were waiting on AHS. This went on for several days. Calling each respectively, ending up to learn AHS authorized Advanced to complete the repair and order the parts. With no calls or failure to return calls from Advanced, I visited the office on 26 June. In my visit they admitted they had not ordered the part, but had the part in stock and would be out to fix the system on Monday 29 June. I would be the first appointment of they day. No one showed on the 29th. Could not get answer or a call back from Advanced why no one showed or when we could expect to show. Fianally responded to an email Monday evening. A TECH called, apologized for what had happened and said they would be out the next day. TECH did show and completed the repairs on the 30th. Note: Advanced did discount the bill from $1050 to $900 for our inconvenience. Also, when I visited the store front on the 26th, I found it to be lacking in appearance and organization. No professional presents at all. To end on a good note, the TECHs when they did show up were nice and appeared to do good work.

They were contracted by my home warranty company. They came to my home promptly and professionally; the tech who came out quickly located the issue and said he'd get back to me. I paid him the deductible required. I never heard back from them - I called a week later and they said because it was a pre-existing condition, my warranty company denied my claim. Of course I needed the issue fixed, so they said they would get back to me with an estimate to repair the problem. I called them a little over a week later after not receiving a bid. They said they were going over the photos the tech had taken and they'd get back to me that afternoon or the next morning at the latest. 2 weeks later I called them again, and the secretary seemed confused about my account as it had been marked complete. She said she'd open the bid and get me an estimate (again) by that afternoon or the next morning at the latest. This was a week ago. The air works fine, but the torn duct is at the air intake in our hallway. Insulation is exposed, and I can only assume that fiberglass insulation has been circulating in my home for a month, and I assume my unit is working harder than it needs to due to warm air being pulled from the crawlspace. I will find another company to fix my unit.

Went well. They were very courteous to my Tenant and my Mother. This was very important to me. Explained it was a very minor repair but if anything else happens they would be right there to service it. I believe I found my one contact for Heat & air issues!!!

Upset with connectivity, bad professionalism. No calls made towards me.

Since I had this unit installed, I have had problems with this unit requiring lots of visits from the man I bought it from. I saw this special for a check up on my unit- I was already having problems. The young men that came out were polite and professional and found the problem within minutes. They explained what was wrong and what it would cost to fix the problem. I am very pleased with the results and it is blessedly cool in here. I am going to hire them again to fix my leaky kitchen sink.
