The plumber tech Willie gave us a call before he got to the house. He arrived on time and got right to work. I really appreciated his work since it was cold and rainy that day. He got the spigot replaced in no time. Awesome service!

Very professional & solved problem without replacing faucet

Not so great. Plumber looked under sink and told us we had metal pipes (no joke). Checked outside pressure (fine) and was gone n 25 minutes concluding the work was not covered. Made promises to call back with next step but did not. Office staff called back and was supposed to get someone to give us quote to replace pipes in entire house, but did not call back either. Later a friend visited and disassembled our sink fixture, blew out blockage and fixed the problem for free. It took about an hour. We still need to eventually replace the old pipes and our heating unit, but won't be using these guys.

I asked for an estimate for duct sealing/replacement in my attic. The work is going to be very labor intensive due to very low attic. One company came out without a ladder to access my attic, and the took almost a week to give me an estimate. The estimate was so outlandishly high that I just rejected the offer. Advanced Heating and Air did a really good inspection for the estimate, and ended up being extremely honest. Here is there estimate to me. "We have analyzed the paperwork from our technician that was submitted. The owner and the technician have decided that for the amount of time this job would take we are unable to complete this job due to the fact that we do not have the man power. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any further questions call our office and we would be more than happy to assist you." I like a company that is honest and will use them in the future.

Prompt arrival; serviced two units (one in the attic and one outside) and found a small gas leak in the attic that was supposedly fixed last year by another provide "not" on Angie's list. Very clean, friendly and professional! Will definitely have Advanced return to do the air conditioners in the spring.

This company has my regard, not just for the quality of their staff and workmanship, but also because of their integrity. I had bought what I thought was a seasonal check up from them at a reduced rate through Angie's. Turns out that it was for a SERVICE CALL (which is a less expensive event than a seasonal check-up). Thanks to my aging brain, I did not notice a difference. Short story: they honored the service call (less expensive) rate. Thanks Advanced!

I accepted a special offer from Angie's List for installation of a new toilet. Advanced Heating and Air emailed me quickly with a number to call for an appointment. I like to have things done quickly, and was able to get an appt. two days later. I was very surprised that the toilet is elongated, because I expected the usual round style. Now I feel that I got an extra upgrade besides the great, low price! I am so happy with my brand new toilet, which makes the guest bath look new! I also want to say that I believe the company sent me their top installer, who is honestly the finest young person I've met in a long time.

Brian was very thorough, he explained everything he was doing, showed me areas that needed to be monitored, made suggestions on things I could do to get better performance out of my furnace and came back upstairs to explain to my wife why we would occasionally get a burned odor when dust from within the ductwork would come loose and hit the heat exchanger.

Tony arrived on time, explained what he was doing, why he was doing it and did an excellent job of replacing the faucet. I would definitely use him again.

Rainy day and not the best for the technician, but all seemed to go well.

They were on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were great.

The $110 was for this visit and the next one. I would use them again in future.

My air conditioner was obviously having trouble, and I needed help. So I bought the $50 service call "Special," as advertised by Angie's List, from Advanced Heat and Air. But they weren't available to come until 3 days later! Meanwhile, i had contacted the company that installed my HVAC--Coleman Heating and Air. They had been noncomittal about when they could come when I first called, leading met to try to get faster service from Advanced Heating and Air. But, all of a sudden, they called back and said they could send a technician right away. That was great--and the service call with Coleman went great--which was: GREAT, because Advanced Heating and Air was not available FOR THREE WHOLE MORE DAYS. I find that this a problem with many of the "Special Deals" available on Angie's List. Buying a "Special Deal" in no way guarantees prompt or even near-future service, in many cases, and the buyer is left holding a Deal that is questionably Special because services cannot be provided within a relevant time-frame. This often does not become obvious until after you have bought and paid for the Special Deal--by my standards, this is an Angie's List practice that is misleading.

Since the unit was almost 10 years old I was leaning toward replacing so I decided to use it until it failed. It did actually fail completely a few days later so I called Advanced back. Since I had the unit less than ten years, and I knew the compressor had a 10 year warranty Advanced helped me contact the manufacturer to determine if we were still in the warranty period. The good news was that indeed we were covered for only through October and the cost of repairs to me was going to be about 1/3 what the original estimate was. This was during the hottest part of the summer so Advanced ordered the compressor and tried to schedule the installation as soon as possible. Everyone in the office and the technician were very helpful and professional and I was extremely pleased with their efforts to help get us cooled down! I will definitely use them in the future when needed and I doubt I would ever use anyone else. I highly recommend them!

The gentleman who provided my service arrived promptly and was both friendly and professional. He did the repair quickly and put a handle on the outdoor faucet that is much easier for me to use. I am extremely happy with this service.

They were assigned to us by our home warranty company, for two separate issues involving our hot water heater and AC. Scheduling was okay, not great - it took a couple days (without AC or hot water) to get someone out. Their appointment window was 4 hours, and they came late in the window, which was disappointing. The guys who came out were great - knew their stuff, diagnosed the problem quickly, and did a good job fixing it. The office staff was less satisfactory. Trying to deal with the home warranty company meant multiple phone calls to Advanced Heating and Air, usually ending with 'we'll talk to the warranty company and call you back,' no callback for several days, and when I called them back, it turned out they still hadn't talked to the warranty company.

He was efficient and careful. This was excellent service and excellent value. We highly recommend this company and are purchasing a maintenance contract with them based on their high quality.

Back story on Advanced Heating and Air: I used this company for the last three (3) years for the heat pump's annual maintenance. But for the guy at the 2nd call losing an irreplaceable washer down the air vent that went to one of the intakes, and neither of the first 2 guys cleaned out the inside of the heat pump enclosure (part of the maintenance) - I had no problems with the company. The 3rd annual maintenance was done the beginning of April 2015, which was purchased through Angie's List. The young man, Andrew, who performed the 3rd maintenance, was the only one to clean out the inside of the heat pump enclosure. About 2 months ago, I left a message through Angie's List, for this company to contact me. No attempt was ever made through Angie's List. On the same day, as the previous paragraph, I contacted this company through its Web site. No attempt was ever made to contact me (although I do not have a phone by which anyone can reach me). Seeing how I have some kind of problem with the heat pump and Advanced never contacted me, I figured if I bought an Angie's List deal (which was also offered at the time of the first attempt), the money might get their attention. On Monday, August 24, 2015, I paid for a service call for hvac from Advanced Heating and Air in Knoxville, TN. For availability, I gave: Tuesday, 8/25 - all day; Thursday, 8/27 - but for 50 minutes in the p.m., all day; Friday, 8/28 - any time after Noon. Advanced did respond, through Angie's List, to this purchase and "apologized" for not having contacted me the first two times. I was asked for availability and gave it (see previous paragraph). Because my phone is charged by the second, I do not use it, but only when it is absolutely necessary. About 4pm, 8/27, (the last day of availability I gave) I placed a call to Advanced Heating and Air, to find out if they had any plans to still make a service call that day. The outgoing message indicated they were on the phone and would call me back. I left a message saying I would leave the phone on for 10 minutes to receive the call. Actually, the phone was on for at least 20 minutes before I remembered to turn it off. I never received a call in the 20 minutes the time was on. As of this date (Friday, September 4, 2015), no one has attempted to contact me through Angie's List. Based upon the above problems, I am requesting a refund of my money. Thank you.

Diagnostic service was spot on. Found the problem and reset the switch. Worked fine as soon as the system reset.

Brian came at the time given and did excellent work. Our unit is cooling great for now. It is an old unit so our expectations were low that it could be fixed quickly.

Matt showed up about an hour after placing service call, quickly diagnosed this issue and repaired. At no point did I feel like he was going to sell me a more expensive "fix" to my problem. I would highly recommend using Advanced Heating and Air to anyone.

Got AC unit up and running in no time. Matt was very professional and courteous and got the job done in timely manner.
