That was very nice. The owner personally came out and spent time with me. He walked around the property with me giving me good tips and ideas.

Chris came out and gave me an estimate. We agreed on a price. He came back within a week and completed the job in 3 days. I had another builder in my yard for nearly a year that never got anything done and just made a huge mess and wasted my time and money so I was very pleased and honestly amazed at how quickly this all came together. They were all very courteous and friendly, they worked very hard and did a great job. I have a beautiful, very natural looking pond and waterfall with beautiful foliage and mulch surrounding this. Next to this area is the cobblestone and the third third of the courtyard is grass. Chris has also been very accommodating since completion of the project in terms of getting back to me by phone or e-mail with answers to my questions about plant care and pond maintenance. I did think the price was high but I was so fed up with my previous builder I couldn't wait to get something done. Chris gave me a discount and the project was still high I thought but I did not get any competing bids so it may have been a good deal. It just seemed like a lot of money to me. For example a 3 gall cypress "crippsi" was $155. I had a combination of 12 mostly 3 gall but ranging from 1-7 gall shrubs, ornamental grasses and flowers and one tree planted and mulched around a 5 foot diameter pond that cost me $797 (this is only the plants and mulch, not the pond) The total price is list above. So you can decide for yourself if this is reasonable. Honestly, like I said, I am not sure but it seemed high to me.

They did and excellent job and I will use them again in the future.

The project went excellent. Started the very next day after estimate and finished the project early. Chris is a very nice and very smart person. He did a great job.

It went great. everything was done on time and very well. We asked that they not use any heavy machinery due to our irrigation system and they found a way.

We just moved to the area and into a newly built home. The back yard was perfect for a paver patio, fire pit and water fall. I researched contractors on Angie's List since I didn't have many people here to ask for referrals. Chris responded quickly to my email inquiry, came out to our house and immediately understood what we wanted. He gave constructive/creative suggestions and did a very nice design. I compared the price (expensive) to another contractor who just did hardscape stuff, no landscaping, and I think we got a good value for the money. He and his crew were very conscientious in getting the job done quickly and professionally. Chris fussed over little details, so I never had to worry about it looking good at the end. For example, he stayed at the house for a couple hours after he finished working so he could see how the lights hit the waterfall in the dark. He was flexible in making some changes and didn't nickel and dime us about little changes. Despite some weather delays the job was done fairly quickly considering the size and scope. When the wet ground was chewed up by some equipment, he resodded and reseeded and left things looking good. Chris and team very nice and easy to have around the property.

The project went well with the Company representative arriving on time for our meeting. Within less than 42 hours I had received the completed landscape design.

There was only a start. I haven't heard from him since.

My call, estimate, they did job next week. Easy as can be. :)

I contacted Chris after seeing an ad in the Angie's List mailer. He promptly retuned my emails with a helpful like to the products he uses for such projects. He arrived 20 minutes late without apology. After showing him the area I wanted paved and examples of stones I was interested in he said he would contact me via email with an estimate. I never heard back about an estimate. It was a small job and I guess he felt as though it was not worth his time. I would have appreciated it if he had just said that and not wasted my time.

Chris came out to the house and asked us what we were looking for, what we liked and what we didn't, and delivered a very appropriate plan for our house.

It went great overall. Chris came out a couple of times to consult with me over the course of a few months as I decided what I wanted to plant. I would bounce ideas off of him on occassion. Once I finally decided the number and types of trees that I wanted to plant I got a new quote from Chris and had him perform the work. I'm very pleased with the result.

In late October 2012 I received a "Big Deal" offer from Angieslist for $600 of landscape design for $99, provided by Crenshaw Landscaping. Earlier in the year I had built some extensive landscape planters around the front portion of my home and was getting to the point where I needed to start planning my plant selections. Not having much expertise in that, other than knowing what I like when I see it, I purchased the deal. I am so happy that I did, because I definitely got my money's worth. Chris Crenshaw met with me at my home the weekend after I contacted him. Upon his arrival, we first discussed what his services would include. As I already had plan drawings of my lot and home including the new planter walls, Mr. Crenshaw didn't need to field measure anything. He said that if he could have a copy of my drawings he would do an overall master plan of my entire lot in addition to doing the plant layout & selection for my newly built planters. This would allow me to have a general plan that I could implement the next few years as time and budget would allow. He spent about an hour or so interviewing me regarding the general design layout and type of plants I liked and walked my property with me to see all the existing areas where he would need to design something for. He was seemed very attentive as I explained areas where I wanted some extra emphasis and problem locations that needed some work & took notes for items that needed attention. I emailed my plan drawings to him a couple days later and approximately a week after I recieved 3 drawings which encompassed all of the areas we had discussed, along with a list of recommended companies to buy plants from. I spent a couple days reviewing these. Overall I liked his design. He had taken notice of existing bushes in my yard & around the house and had selected similar plant varieties that would tie in to those. The design also went in some directions that hadn't occured to me. but which I liked a lot-- in our initial meeting I had pointed out some areas in the front of the house where I wanted some "pop & pizzazz", I think the design did that quite nicely. However, there were a couple areas in the plan that I thought needed to be changed slightly, so I called to arrrange a time when we could discuss this and I could ask a few questions. We met at my office the day after that and within another week I had revised drawings. Chris was very helpful all through the process of getting my landscaping installed. Following getting drawings from him, I've called him at various times since to ask questions related to plant installation & fertilization, to get some input on ideas I had related to his inital design, help with finding addtional nursery vendors, etc. and each time he was really informative and seemed happy to help me out. The last time I talked to him, he ended the conversation with " If you have any more questions on your landscaping, just give me a call, OK?" I'm glad I brought Crenshaw Landscaping into this project, I feel like I got a very nice design, worth WAY more than the $99 I paid for it. I finished installing the landscaping just before Thanksgiving 2012, and it looks really great now... I can't wait for spring to see how it will look in bloom!

Everything went well. We liked Mr. Crenshaw we simply were unable to use his services.

We called to get an estimate on putting in a retaining wall. Chris came out - in an ice storm no less - walked the property and gave us several suggestions to solve our problem. It was obvious my husband and I needed to spend more time talking about what we wanted don and what we were wanting to spend and Chris encouraged us to spend time in the space and then give him a call if we wanted to move forward with anything. Very low pressure and friendly! He even spent time talking to me about the plants we do have and giving me suggestions on how to care for them. Nice guy!

Overall we received very disappointing service. I contacted Chris Crenshaw in early-October to discuss my project and schedule an appointment (mid-October). Afterward, I followed up our telephone conversation with preliminary information including photos of the area he would be working on. He showed up on time, discussed some ideas, took measurements and said he would get back to us. After waiting about 5 weeks without any response, I called Chris back. He said he'd gotten side tracked on other projects and had put mine aside but assured me he'd get back on it right away. After waiting 3 more weeks, I called him again and he said he would have our drawings done by the end of the week (mid-December). He finally emailed a couple of drawings which weren't bad but they didn't include many of the existing features (existing trees, plant beds, etc.) or some of the ideas he'd presented. I got the distinct feeling he didn't take much interest in our project. We'll look elsewhere.

Chris knows his trees and located some very nice ones for our project. He and his team were always on time and professional. Chris is an honest business man and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely call on him again.

Crensahw was prompt, courteaous and very professional. They provided us with a plan of action and even made some suggestions for some immediate action we could take to save our existing landscaping during another construction project. They provided us a thorough plan based on the new construction and we will be excited to get started on moving forward with that when the time comes!

The crew the was doing the landscaping arrived on time and were very professional. I often commented on the placement of the plants and they were very willing to listen to what I wanted and make any small changes I asked them to. When they were finished they told me what to do to maintain the new plants and help the transplanted plants adjust to being moved. They have a one year warranty on the plants.

Overall, it went really well. The result was amazing. A little pricey but the result was fantastic!

Upon purchase of the Big Deal the vendor made immediate contact with me. We met around the last weekend in August (I am unable to remember the exact date). Chris Crenshaw discussed with my husband and I our likes and dislikes as we walked the property. I asked at that time when we should expect the plan, but he was unable to give a specific answer. I contacted him via email on 9/2/12 for an update. He did not respond to my email, but did answer my husbands phone calls and said the plan was back at the office and would send it out as soon as he got back. We finally received the plan on 9/11/12 after having to contact him again. The plan was good and in fact used by our landscaper. But I felt it was not professionally presented; it also appeared to be sketched out quickly. This Big Deal was suppose to be worth $599 and I certainly expected better quality. I was glad I paid only $99 for it. We attempted contact with Chris several times after this in order to have him bid on the landscaping. He did not return phone calls in a timely manner. When he eventually contacted us he said he had been on vacation and would submit a bid the next day. We never heard from him again. Although the work he did was acceptable his professionalism was not.
