I went to Angies list to find three contractors to give quotes to replace an air conditioner and gas furnace. Aire Serv was hired because their quote was the best value for the equipment we chose. On the day of installation, Aire Serv informed us that the chosen air conditioner and gas furnace had not arrived. Rather than ask for a few days delay the installation, Aire Serv chose to install a better unit for the same price quoted. The individuals installing the unit were professional and trustworthy. Their work was efficiently done and they did an excellent job in cleaning up after themselves. I would recommend their services.

Six weeks after her left, I ended up with no refrigerant left in my air conditioning. He said he topped it off, but that I had a small pin hole. He tried to sign me up for a service agreement which I didn’t want. I would not use their services again.

Technician kept me informed about exactly what he was doing. He was very approachable and down to earth, He gave me an estimate of future work that may be necessary. I was left with the impression that the company values people and aims to please.The groupon deal was greatly appreciated and possible special pricing for being an Angie's List member was frosting on the cake.

I received an email response the same night I emailed the company about setting up an appointment. I actually had the service performed within a few days of purchase! I received a call on when to expect the technicians. The techs who came out were very personable, polite and the lead person even took the time to show me key components and some information about them and what can happen if they fail. I'm happy to report - no issues!. Though my unit is only about 3 years old the service who installed it never bothered calling back to set up maintenance yearly - they did a great job but they just didn't care enough to check back with me & keep my business. I didn't read the manual I admit and didn't know for certain about how often I should have it checked. I was so pleased with the service that I am signing up for someone to come out 2x a year to keep my investment in tip top shape with "preventive maintenance".

They were outstanding! A general contractor (doing non-HVAC work) was in our home a few weeks ago and suggested that we may not have enough air returns (only 2) for our house size (3300 SF). This had seemed odd to me, as our last house was 3600 SF and had 6 returns. So, I logged on to Angie's List and decided to call Aire Serv to ask if a technician knew how to assess this situation using a formula (as opposed to an in-person inspection with a service fee). The receptionist was very kind and offered to deliver a message to a technician. My phonecall was returned within a couple of hours (WOW!) and the technician who helped me was INCREDIBLY helpful, knowledgeable, and patient (as I was literally running around the house and the yard getting him the info that he needed to assess our air returns. In the end, he said that our returns were indeed appropriate for our house size and that there was no need for worry or additional service. Yea! I was completely taken back by how kind and HONEST he was. So many folks these days will try to sell you services when you don't even need them---but NOT Air Serv! I highly recommend giving these trustworthy guys a chance to earn your business. Their kind, brief phonecall had more professionalism than most on-site service visits that I've received from other companies. THANK YOU!

The service technician was very professional and knew what he was doing. The only reason I wouldn't use them in the future is because of a friend who performs similar service for me on a less expensive basis.

And they were very knowledgeable and professional.There were some inspectors from angieslist that came and checked what they did and it was fine.

I called them after seeing the special and they came out within a week. They did a very good job. I would use their services again.

Robbie was on time and very professional. He talked me through what his visit included and didn't try to upsell me anything like a previous service that I used. We talked about some possible issues due to the age of my system (10+yrs) but said it was fine now but keep an eye out.

I purchased a Big Deal from Angies List for Air Serv thinking they were a well known reputable company with a large customer base, but I was wrong. They came out after supposedly attempting to contact me 2 times and supposedly left a voicemail. I called in and asked when they were going to show up and they tried to argue with me that they left a message and made attempts to contact me, all of which I had no evidence of. When they finally showed up a young technician listened to what was wrong with my unit and proceded to check it out. He took pressure readings and instantly told me I was low on coolant and probably have a leak. He then went under the house and looked at the blower, evaporator and heat exchanger. When he emerged he did not give me any details on the condition of the unit under the house he simply told me i had a cracked heat exchanger and that based upon the pressure readings that I had a leak in the system. He then proceded to tell me that because my unit was 23 years old that I shouldn't repair my unit but rather pay them to install a new one. At this point I took him at his word and had him draw me up a quote. The prices he offered were extremely high, although they do install Carrier units which are very high quality, my current unit is one and is still going after 23 years. I decided to get a second opinion and this is why they are getting an F in my book.I got a number from a friend for a guy who is an AC instructor at the local technical college and runs his own Father and Son AC tech business. I knew from the gecko that they were not going to be the cheapest but had heard that they were honest. So I had them come out and paid $65.00 for him to look over the system. He confirmed to me that the pressure readings were low. I told him what the Air Serv tech told me about the leak and he scoffed and said that may or may not be true. After going under the house he told me the problem was not the unit at all but rather the 1.0 inch thick film of dog hair, sheetrock dust(from renovations), and other dirt on the blower motor and the evaporator which was the problem. He proceded to pull the blower motor and degrease/clean it and sprayed off the evaporator coils with water and cleaner. He also replaced the capacitor and inspected the ductwork. Upon inspection of the duct work he found 2 of my 7 registers in the house were completely disconnected and blowing my cold AC out under the house. He reconnected the ductwork and with everything cleaned out re-checked the pressure on the condenser tower outside. Here is the funny part, I did not have a leak at all. In fact my unit had too much coolant in it and he had to bleed off over 1.5 lbs of coolant to optimize it. He also got a good look at my heat ex-changer and said infallibly that there was no crack at all. After all was said and done he did say that my duct work was in very bad shape and that replacing it would be a very good idea to improve the efficiency of the unit and to decrease the hot/cold spots i have in my 100 year old house. However the important thing is that he cleaned my unit and took the time to optimize it and told me I could get another 5-10 years out of my entire system.....minus the ducting. He did all of this for under $350 and saved me thousands that Air Serv was trying to rip me off of. The bottom line is that the Air Serv tech did not take the time to properly inspect my unit or offer me a realistic diagnosis. He also made assumptions that my heat exchanger was cracked based soley upon what the unit looked like. He LIED to me and tried to charge me for an over priced system. Don't let the big names of AC companies pull you in......be sure to get a second opinion and always look for contractors you can trust. Do Not use Air Serv as all they want to do is install new systems to maximize their profit and could care less about what it costs you as the customer.

The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. They were in uniform, and the truck was painted with their logo. I am going to sign up for their semi-annual inspection.

I had bought an Angie's list deal for an inspection of our heating and cooling system from this company. Right before they were scheduled to come our heat pump died for the final time. The inspector looked at the unit and quickly discovered the problem and presented us with two option to replace the unit. After a review of Angie's list I called to let them know which option we had chosen. It was right at 5 and the business was closed, but I got one of the supervisors instead of an answering machine. Not only did he explain everything to me, the unti was installed just 2 days later. The installers were prompt, and got the work done quickly. We are now cool and comfortable. I will love them forever.

I received a call to let me know the techs were on their way over. They arrived on time and started to work. Part of our system is in the attic and when they finished they offered to clean up the mess from the debri that had fallen out of the attic. Yay! They were professional and communicated with me about the repairs they would recommend. They didn't push the sale, they were honest and said I could wait until the next inspection and it wasn't a dire need. That was nice to know and that they were not just trying to make a buck. It let me know they were looking out for me so I feel confident that I will be using them in the future. They were also friendly with my kids, they interacted with them and didn't get annoyed that they would come over and look at what they were doing.

They came to inspect my air conditioning, heating, tuning, and other cleaning. They were very professional. They were wonderful. They found a couple problems that I had and fixed them while they were here. I was very satisfied with them and I would recommend them highly.
