Excellent. The scheduled the appointment promptly after I booked the service through Angie's List. Kevin came by this morning - he called me up earlier to give heads-up about that he is on his way. That was very nice of him. He looked up the unit upstairs and did the inspection, provided some valuable sugesstions for maintaining the unit. Then he went downstairs to check on the compressor unit at the back, he opened the unit and did a complete inspection / tune up / cleaning etc - it took almost 40 mins just for the outdoor unit. I'm completely impressed with his service and professionalism. Very much satisfied.

Amazing! I know my whole unit needs to be replaced and they didn't push me for a sale. Instead I was given options. He also suggested a goo that would plug up small holes and keep my unit rubbing cool for next year or so. Great service.

Excellent. Mark called the morning the appointment was scheduled to let me know he was on the way. He was on time and extremely professional. He checked both A/C units as well as repaired some areas where the AC was leaking into the crawl space. Excellent company and would definitely use them again.

We have used Mechanical Doctor for over a year. At first their service was wonderful when we were new customers. However, our most recent experience was disappointing. They called the morning of the appointment and said that some emergency calls were made and the technician was already out on those calls and wouldn't be able to make it until later in the afternoon. My husband took the morning off of work, simply to be home for their visit because our AC wasn't running correctly. We are currently looking for a different, more reliable company at this time. Not too sure the point of scheduling an appointment when it can be dramatically altered the day of.

I think I paid $129 for both of them. They are so professional. They will be back. The first time I used them was in September of 2015. And actually that wasn't the first time, I had actually used them in the prior spring as well, so that was my third time with them. They are very responsive, get here right on time and keep you informed. They are very good.

I found from the moment of contact with Kevin to the completion of his work exceptional. He walked me though everything he did and not only thoroughly explained the process but showed me what he was doing and why he was doing it. I appreciate his honesty and also getting the job done. Overall, Kevin did an excellent job. He corrected mistakes made by the last HVAC Company we used. Kevin was timely, very patient, extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He added Freon, fixed wires and replaced a capacitor. We will definitely use this company in the future. Major kudos to Kevin. DEFINATELY HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!

WOW!! Home run number two. Had a great experience with Mechanical Doctor last fall for a furnace service that when I started looking for the spring A/C service and saw the annual maintenance deal, I knew I had to go back to them. Scheduling was quick and easy. Purchased on a Friday afternoon and received a message within an hour that they would call on Monday to schedule, and they did. Morning of the scheduled service received a call and asked if he could come early and arrived exactly at the time he said. Was the same tech from last time and remembered by mother too. Worked was performed professionally and too those little extra steps to protect the house when going in and out. Provided a very detailed report on the condition of the HVAC system. Made a couple of suggestion/recommendation but did not try the high pressure sell. So glad I went back to Mechanical Doctor and looking forward to a long relationship with them

The technician, Justin, did an amazing job when he came out. The respose was very fast (within just a couple of hours) He was extremely professional and took the time to really understand the problem. His communication was outstanding and I really appreciate him. Scheduling was easy and Rhonda was very helpful. I will recommend them to anyone.

It went fine. I wasn't familiar with these units, so as the tech was cleaning and checking everything to be safe, he walked me through the best operation of each one and explained everything to me. I was pleased with everything they did.

The service was fine. They came out twice and did the work. The package only includes two times. The first time they came out, I paid more than the $159 because I had additional stuff done and there was an additional charge. They call you right back if you call them. They worked on a rental house so it is not like I was meeting them there. The tenant said their professionalism was fine. It is possible that I would go with someone else next time.

Company was very quick to call after my purchase of a big deal. They were able to schedule the work on the same morning of their call. Justin was the technician, and he also called in advance to let me know that he was on the way. He arrived on time and began the cleaning/servicing of our gas logs. They would no longer light because they needed to be cleaned. He did a very thorough job, and they look and work like new. Justin also offered to go over correct procedure for lighting the logs and mentioned some tips that were helpful. Excellent, professional service.

My husband was present for the service call. He felt the technician was very professional and appeared to service the fireplace well. He cleaned up the fireplace, checked the equipment and lit the pilot light. After the visit, the fireplace would stop working sporaticly and currently isn't working at all. My husband called the technician and explained the symptoms. The technician identified a component that most likely was causing the problem and would need to be replaced. We set a time for return visit and we had to cancel due to a conflict. We have not contacted the technician again nor has he contacted us. I felt that both we and the technician dropped the ball on making our fireplace functional. Thus, since our busy lives and lack of need for the fireplace kept our end of the interaction stalemated, I gave the technician a higher rating. But I also feel that he should also have called back to help spur us into action and make money for his company.

Justin was very professional and helpful. Took apart my gas logs, cleaned everything and got them working again. Showed us how to light the pilot light and turn them on for future need since we keep the pilot light off unless we need them. Was very impressed with the work and cleanliness of it. Will definitely be using them in the future.

Kevin arrived as scheduled and got right to work. He has serviced my home three times in past and always does an excellent job. Checked and adjusted both log sets @ $89. Per set. Then went to work to find out why my upstairs heating wasn't blowing air very well. Went into attic and diagnosed the problem. Fixed it, rewired the upstairs thermostat, checked all working well.for $109. Got more than my monies worth!

One of the specials ($129 for a Gas Log Fireplace Tune-Up, Cleaning, and Inspection) was purchased on January 20, and an appointment was scheduled for Friday, January 22. The technician, Kevin, called at about 8:10 that morning, and asked if he could come earlier than the scheduled time. We certainly agreed, and appreciated his call and his commitment to keep the appointment, despite the very bad weather in our area on that day. He arrived at about 8:40 am, and proceeded to work on our gas fireplace. After cleaning it and replacing the rock wool which simulates burning embers, he attempted to light it and found that he could not do so. He ultimately discovered that a part needed to be replaced, and I believe it is called a thermocouple. He stated that the cost would be $385, in addition to the $129 we had paid for the cleaning, inspection, etc. I agreed, although I found the amount to be exorbitant. He proceeded to replace the unit, and finally, the fireplace was started satisfactorily. He then headed out to his truck to write up the bill, and I asked him to bring the paperwork in before he actually wrote it up. When he asked why, I stated that I was concerned about the total bill, and a discussion ensued. He asked me why I hadn't told him about my concern before he installed the part, and why I had not refused to have it installed or called another company for a second opinion. I stated that I had decided to go ahead, since the fireplace was already dis-assembled, and he was already there, but that I still had concern about the exorbitant price, and he stated that he had heard that before from other customers. I told him that I might contest the cost with my credit card company, and he became quite indignant, and asked me if I knew the cost of his education to do such work, to which I replied that the cost of his education was of no concern to me. Also, while he had been working, I looked up the cost of the part on the internet, and the most expensive I found was only $59.00. That means, subtracting at most $59.00 from his charge of $385, that his labor would cost $326!! Outrageous!! He also stated that they are a flat rate company. The conversation continued and he then said that he would call the company owner, so he went out to his truck and did so. When he returned, he told me that he had spoken to the owner, and that he had agreed to reduce the price from $385 to $323. I paid him, by credit card, rather than by check as I had earlier planned before he arrived, and he left. I had the impression that the technician was somewhat offended because I had taken pictures and video with my cell phone, but that was ONLY so that my husband and I would know how to light the fireplace in the future. He never objected while I was doing so. Although the fireplace works well, and the job was properly done (as far as we know), I would still not contact the company in the future, and will make sure that I discuss my experience with friends and family.
