Description of Work: They came for a central air cleaning and it cost almost $300 for added work. It is a rental property and he told the tenant that my husband was mad at the cost. This was totally unprofessional.

Description of Work: I purchased $49 A/C Inspection & Tune-up. I was very satisfied with this entire experience. Once contacted, appointment was scheduled for next day. Service man arrived on time. Service man was very thorough and courteous. He explained services he performed and pointed out a potential issue which I will need to keep an eye. He did not try to sell me any additional or unnecessary services.

Description of Work: Kevin From Mechanical Doctor came to perform a check up on my gas logs. He called before he came and arrived right when he said he would. He cleaned the logs, burner and pilot assembly. He also performed a CO test with everything checking out well. He was very nice and stressed the importance of having a CO detector in the house (as I do). I am pleased to find a company that services gas logs. I have searched for one before but only after joining Angie's List did I find one. Now I have peace of mind that my gas logs are working properly. I definitely recommend Mechanical Doctor for this service and plan to use them again in the future. Thanks for you help and information Kevin.

Description of Work: Bought the tune up deal. Came out found a couple capacitors that needed changing. They were very professional and easy to deal with. Would recommend.

Description of Work: Had 3 HVAC units cleaned and checked for summer. They found some issues which required additional repairs. they are not cheapest guy out there but seem to be fair and have value. I would use them again.

TECH FOUND OLD CAPACITOR WAS REGISTERING VERY LOW AND REPLACED FOR $89.00. I THOUGHT THIS WAS OVERPRICED AS IT ONLY TOOK HM 5 MINUTES AND THE PART ONLINE COST 35.00.

Description of Work: AC inspection was thorough -- he took his time and found the system to be in good shape. He did replace one old part in the blower, explaining that while it was still functional, it could eventually cause the motor to fail. I appreciated this "ounce of prevention" and his thorough explanation of the risk.

Description of Work: They checked out the system from inside to outside, going up into the attic. One capacitor was found to be bad. It was replaced right then. Purchase a one year maintenance contract once I found out that it could be transferred to new owner if I sold the house. This assurance of a contract would be reassuring for a buyer.
