Things couldn't have been better! We've had these units serviced in the past, and have hit cases where other providers were trying to gouge us for repairs we didn't need (as determined by other estimates). I never felt like this was an issue this time, Kevin explained what he was doing at every step, and in the end the price was right! Very professional and timely work, we won't hesitate to use them again!

They were terrific! Professional. Timely. Thorough. Knowledgeable. Flexible. Excellent customer service. They provided same day service. Fixed the issue. Provided helpful tips for the future. They even trimmed the bushes away from the unit to allow for better circulation! I thought prices were reasonable. Exceeded my expectations.

I used them because it came through Angie's List. I was at their mercy and I listened to everything they said I needed. They were efficient, seemed knowledgeable, and they came when they said they would.

I'm very pleased with them. The worker, Kevin, was extremely polite when he came here and knew what he was doing. He knew exactly where to go. It's been working a lot better since he fixed it. He called before he came and he said he'd be between 9:00 and 11:00 and he was here at 10:00. Everything was wonderful. I know the part was needed, because it's working so much better now. They were professional, courteous and on time. They called before they came. We thought it was the best price in the whole wide world. We're very, very pleased. We're pleased enough that we're going to have him come back to do our furnace.

Mark did the inspection of my A/C unit and found that the batteries of the A/C and the furnace needed to be replaced. He had the batteries, so the replaced the old ones. Also, the water pipe from the furnace was clogged which made the water come out through the emergency exit. He managed to unclog the pipe and eliminated this major problem. I am very happy with the work performed today and I intend to use the services of Mechanical Doctor again in the future.

Provider arrived on time, got to work quickly, identified several issues with our A/C system and helped us mitigate them. He also provided us with several helpful tips to use in the future to help our A/C system run more efficiently.

Kevin arrived on time and I gave him the details of my problem. One unit had started to make an awful sound the day before so I bought the tune up deal. They arrived the next day but I noticed my other unit was blowing out air that was not cool. I have 3 AC units for my house. Kevin explained what was wrong and told me prices prior to performing the service and subsequent repairs rather than surprising me at the end with large bill. He cleaned each unit and checked all the inner workings. Freon has leaked prior and informed me I will need a new unit at some point possibly, but agreed to refill. As a small business owner myself, I really liked the way they did business. Highly recommend!

Set up service for 9am on 6-28-14. Planned my day around this. Service tech calls and says that he will not be able to make it to my residence until between 12-2pm.

I was contacted within one business day of purchasing the Angie's list seasonal tune-up special to schedule. The technician was knowledgeable, friendly, and polite. I would absolutely recommend Mechanical Doctor and will use them again in the future.

Kevin, the technician came out and took a look at the air conditioning unit. It wasn't cooling properly and there was an odor when it was turned on. He ultimately replaced the capacitor and it has been running fine since then. While in the attic, he noticed that there were two returns, however one of them had been blocked off. I had no idea. Two previous companies made repairs to my air conditioning system last year and neither one ever mentioned the blocked off return. I received a quote from them to open up the return and install a filter grill. I'm still researching that repair.

The tech was very nice and professional. The A/C unit is no longer making the funny sound. For what little work was needed I felt like the price was very expensive. The tech was here for a very short time period. He explained that he tightened the bolt that held the fan to the rest of the unit and then he informed me that it cost $99. Good service but very expensive for such little work.

Wayne was very professional and seemed to do a great job. He re-attached some ductwork under our house that had come undone and serviced our AC unit, including adding additional coolant. He also helped by giving some tips on ways our AC unit could be used more efficiently.

They serviced my aging A/C unit and fixed a broken fan in the outside unit. The system has worked like a champ ever since (fingers crossed). Very professional

After Kevin and Mark did the repairs, Kevin took the time to answer all our questions. We moved here from Fl and were unfamiliar with the ac and heating system here. After they completed the work we saw the difference in our ac. For an old unit it was working good. We were very pleased. I will definitely be calling them in Oct. to check my furnace. If you want prompt service, nice and knowledgeable people, and work you will be happy with call the Mechanical Doctor.

Kevin is wonderful. He thoroughly cleaned our 3 AC units. He also completed 21 point inspections on each of them. The condensers on two units were in bad shape. He replaced those. We feel prepared for what appears to be a very hot summer. I would refer this company to others in a heartbeat.

I'm in the process of selling my house, during the inspection, it was noted that the downstairs furnace was not coming up to the specified temperature. Since the house is only 7 years old, I figured it just needed to be cleaned. During the inspection, it was noted that a capacitor was going bad. The technician replaced the part and also noted that one of the dampers was closed leaving the unit. It turns out this was the damper leading to the register most likely to be used for checking the temp downstairs. The technician was very thorough and made sure to show me how the air leaving the furnace was 50 degrees warmer than the air entering the unit. Great job!

Kevin was great! He was fast and efficient and explained everything. He cleaned my two a/c units and checked my air handler in the attic. He did a great job! I will be calling in the winter, thanks again!

I purchased a 49.00 air conditioner inspection in April. The technician was prompt, informational to a degree and professional. The whole job, inspection and part replacement took about 30 mnts and cost me $130/00 which included the inspection.

This is a very mixed review of this company. Let me start off with the positives. My AC quit working Memorial Day evening so I went to Angie's List and found this company. I called them to see if they could fit me into their schedule on Tuesday morning as they had great reviews and a discount coupon for the service call. I talked to Wayne who very friendly and helpful and told me that he would call me back on Tuesday morning to let me know when they could get here. He called bright and early Tuesday and had a service tech (Mark) to my house much earlier than I thought would be possible. Mark was exceptionally helpful with determining the problem with my AC and had if fixed in a short period of time. (It was a condenser on the outside unit). After replacing the condenser he also cleaned the unit and checked to make sure that it was properly charged with freon. The entire time he was here he went out of his way to be neat, helpful and was very concerned that I as a customer was happy and satisfied with the service that I had received. He had mentioned an optional service contract that his company offered to come out and maintain the heating and cooling of the house that I was seriously considering and had discussed with my wife when my exceptionally good experience with the company took a bad turn. About one to two hours after Mark had finished the repair work I got a call from their office by a woman I believe is named Carolyn (I may be wrong about the name). From the moment I answered the phone it seemed like a battle. Right off the bat she was saying that I hadn't purchased a deal from Angie's list and that I owed them money as they couldn't be working for free. When I told her that yes I had gotten a discount coupon from Angie's List that didn't require a purchase she informed me that I was wrong and I honestly felt as if she thought I was lying. I insisted that yes I had gotten a coupon from the list that didn't require a purchase and that we could go on the list and see it. She kept saying that there was no such coupon and if there was it must be a mistake with Angie's List and that I still owed them 49 or 59 dollars for the service call. Finally after we got to their listing on Angie's List and she saw the coupon that I was referring to, and that I had given to Mark, she said that they had so many specials going and that she had forgotten that one. At that point she agreed that the amount was to be $39 dollars as the coupon said and that either she could send Mark back out to collect the money or that I could give her a credit card over the phone and she would mail and email me a copy of the receipt. I didn't want to make Mark drive back here as he was so friendly and helpful so I opted to just give her the credit card info needed to run the additional charge through. A bit later she sent me an email saying that the receipt was attached and when I didn't see attached I sent her an email right back asking that she please resend the receipt as I hadn't received it with the email that she had sent. Well that was 9 hours ago and I still haven't received the receipt via email. So as you can see this is a tale of two experiences with one company. If she had been friendly and said "we're sorry we made a mistake with the amount due for services" it would have been a much more pleasant experience. But from my point of view it was very confrontational and I felt as if I was having to prove that I wasn't trying to rip off their company. Because of how the latter half of my experience went I am reconsidering whether or not I wish to purchase their service agreement. From the tech side and on site service they are exceptional however I am not sure I want to have to risk another confrontational type event if there is a paperwork/payment issue not caused by any action on my part. Also the lack of response to my request to send my receipt hasn't instilled confidence on the office side of their business. Would I utilize them again? I would probably give them a second chance as their service was exceptional but I would definitely have some concerns. It is the latter half of this experience that has kept me from giving them 5 stars across the board.
