Mechanical Doctor sent a tech to perform a tuneup, the lack of which I though t might be the cause of my air conditioning not working. The tech made sure to explain everything in detail as he tested the connections and diagnosed the problem as a mis-wiring from a previous "tune-up", which he promptly fixed without requiring a diagnostics or service fee. He continued to tune-up the rest of the system, and it has word great ever since. I have recently contracted Mechanical Doctor for a diagnostics call later this week. With this positive experience, I will be using Mechanical Doctor from here on out for my HVAC needs.

I spoke to Wayne multiple times. My first contact was just questions. He responded quickly and answered my questions. I discussed the possibility of replacing my gas log set. He recommended a couple of sets he could sell and install. In the meantime, we visited a retailer and found a set of logs we preferred. Wayne called around to get us the best price possible. Our log set is 24 years old and we had never had any maintenance or clean-up performed. We knew our fireplace required a good cleaning whether we bought new logs or not. The deal was a good price and the reviews of the Mechanical Doctor were excellent. Rhonda called to schedule the maintenance a couple of weeks out. Later the same morning she called to say that someone would be in our area and had time to work in our maintenance. That was great. Kevin and Justin showed up on time. Kevin wanted me to know that the build-up of soot over 24 years could make clean-up very messy. To his credit, he took extra care in removing the logs to take outside for cleaning. He used a special vacuum designed primarily to clean a fireplace. He was very meticulous cleaning the firebox, grate and the pilot light. He had also noticed that the logs didn't seem to be stacked correctly. I didn't have a manual so he searched the internet to find a picture so he could arrange the logs correctly. The logs were much better than we ever expected. This has been a great experience. Highly recommended.

It went fine. I think they met my expectations. The price is okay and the quality was good too.

Very good - professional and cleaned after completion. Fireplace is fully function. Also educated me on how to light pilot an manually turn 9n fireplace if the need arises.

Great - Scheduling was easy, and the service technician, Kevin, was right on time, calling ahead to let us know he was on the way. He completed the A/C and furnace service while here, but first, he completely checked out our gas logs. He thoroughly explained to me how to safely check and light the pilot light, showing me how to do it 3 or 4 times, to be sure I was confident doing it myself before he left. As others have stated, I never got the impression that they were trying to "sell" us anything unnecessary, or rush through the job to get on to the next call.

I still have a failed A/C. My air conditioning on the top floor is not working. They charged too much and I have an air conditioning that has failed now again. They are not really that good. They responded but not on the same day. When I called, they didn't pick up the phone.

Technician showed up on time when he said he would and was very professional, however it took 5 days for availability. I have 2 systems in my house and one had completely failed. He was able to give an accurate diagnosis after checking and cleaning the entire system. He gave some good advice for keeping the systems as efficient and clean as possible. Pricing on the parts appeared high however I do not have a professional reference to compare them.

The tech was great. called because of the great reviews on AL. The tech showed up on time. He was able to fix my broken ac that another company was going to take them two weeks to repair. This company was able to do this in one day and a lot money than the other company. Wayne was very pleasant to deal with and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. We would definitely, recommend them to our friends and family.

This company is A+ in my book. Scheduled appointment quickly, showed up on time, completed the job quickly, polite and professional, not to mention very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

The Tech. was a real pro, and explained each test and the results. Any adjustments needed were done and he was very pleasant to talk with. I think he enjoyed his job, and he did his job well.

The technician was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and nice. Within minutes he determined the root cause of our heat not blowing out any air. It was only due to our filter being caked with drywall dust from the "handyman" we had working on our walls who did not clean up after himself, but as new homeowners we did not know this was the problem. Our HVAC was not able to pull in any air intake in order to blow out heat through the vents. Replacing the filter solved the problem. hile at our house, the technician inspected and tested out the HVAC unit to make sure there was no damage from running 24/7 with no air intake. He even offered tips on how to prepare our unit for using the AC this summer (such as pouring bleach down the pipe to ensure it was clear of debris). Not having our AC prepped for summer could have the potential of causing damage to the unit or flooding of my house (which I have experienced in a previous home, because I knew nothing about prepping my HVAC unit before summer). All in all, the technician was great and we definitely got our money's worth! We would use them again if we needed service to our HVAC.

I was very pleased with his service and thorough checking of my system. Our unit is 4 years old and this was the first service for it.

The rep was on time, helpful and professional. He performed the work quickly and well despite the punishing heat that day, and the unit works well. My only beef is that the outside AC unit is now considerably louder with the new fan motor than it used to be. UDATE: The repairman returned free of charge and made BOTH my outdoor units quieter than before. Good company!

We did pay for the coupon and we got the $39 Mechanical Doctor service call. They came out the next day. The prices seemed to be inflated. The services to fix it were more expensive than other people. I felt like I was stuck because they came out. I wasn't all that happy with that deal. They did the diagnostics for what they said. They try to sell you expensive services.

He wanted to charge $450 to replace a capacitor. He mentioned that if this part was going then it was very likely the compressor was on its way out. He was happy to fix the unit but also suggested that we consider replacement since if the compressor went bad then we would be putting a much larger amount of money into it in the (likely) near future. We took his full system quote and decided to get quotes from several other companies as well. We learned from others that they could repair the capacitor for half the price he quoted making a repair scenario much easier to swallow even if it only gets us another year. In talking to 3 other people who came to quote on full systems not one of them really encouraged a new system if the repair could be done for $225ish. I really got the feeling that these guys were pitching scare tactics on the repair by over charging for it as well as telling us it would likely only fix the problem for a short time. My view is that they did all of this to sell a full system instead. My downstairs is cooling off now for $225 and the repair company we used gave us the impression that the system had at least another few years left in it. While a lot of this is just my opinion based on the vibe I got after speaking with this company the one thing for certain is that he wanted to charge double the market price for the repair.

Company put coolant in A/C unit. I have not had a problem since my A/C unit was serviced. Great Job.
