"The comments made by this person are completely off base out of context and slanderous. In any construction project there are hurdles that need to be overcome and what is not said here is that the project was completed within a reasonable time to 100% customer satisfaction. Every project can have issues that if taken out of context can be presented in a negative light. I had a face to face conversation with the husband who told me the project was complete and he was satisfied. The commentary stating the customer had to resort to registered letters is false, none were received and until this posting we believed the customers were satisfied. To the companies knowledge all the issues were addressed to the customers satisfaction and the contracted work was delivered and we were paid in full. Our business has been in business for 29 years and although it would be nice the founder will not live forever so a successor must emerge. The salesman/ project manager was the son of the owner but it was not the companies first job and the customer was treated with respect, honesty and fairness. It is interesting to note that none of this persons commentary says that they did not receive what they contracted for in a timely manner except a day or so of inconvenience. Swimming Pool Construction is a major project in an existing yard and is nothing but inconvenience to the person living there, we understand that and try to manage that as effectively as possible to complete the job. Everyone wants their job to go smooth and without any issues or distractions, however that is an impossibility, someday's it rains, freight gets lost or delayed and yes sometimes we the contractors make mistakes. The standard should not be whether there were issues but rather that they were addressed as they were for this and every customer we have. We do not believe in a forum like this that allows an individual to slander a company publicly where there is not due process. It is all weighted toward the person who is making the comments with no risk to them. It is patently unfair and akin to forcing the accused to disprove a negative. For instance this person says "a platt was required for permit and he couldn't find it". The platt is a survey of the customers property and we have no access to it unless it is provided by the customer. All property is surveyed at closing if their is a mortgage and if the owners don't have it or can't locate it it has to be redone by a surveyor. This is a requirement of the permit authority and we did co-ordinate with a survey crew to get this done as a courtesy to the customer. It slowed the process and was not a problem of our making. Additionally they state we had a sump pump running for several days. This was a de-watering pump to relieve groundwater so the job could be done at all and was an essential requirement. Our company is now 2 years older than the date of this commentary and growing. We are still around and expect to continue serving all of our customers including this one with respect, integrity and honesty. Once again this customer received every item contracted for including any warranty service we knew about and to our current knowledge no issues remain or remained at the date of this customers original posting. We are hopeful that any person reading the customers complaint and this response would take the time to make a judgment based on their own fair minded review. We can not understand the actual reason for this customers bitterness and why they would go out of their way to damage our reputation and cause a loss of business when in fact they received a finished product at a fair price and have had useful enjoyment of it for many years now."
