I recently had my crawl space encapsulated by Peter (Gilman Restoration), and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the very start, Peter’s customer service was amazing—he was friendly, professional, and really took the time to explain everything to me. The work itself was top-notch. You can tell he takes pride in what he does because everything was done with care and attention to detail. Plus, the whole project was finished on time, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was such a smooth and stress-free process. If you’re looking for someone who does quality work and truly values their customers, I highly recommend Gilman Restoration!

Gilman restoration immediately took care of the work I needed done. I would recommend them to anyone. He did a fantastic job. He was professional and knowledgeable.

Very disappointed. Large promises, negated inability to produce a certificate of insurance. Lost 2 weeks going through quote process, discovering what he said he could do...he wasn't insured to do "those tasks". Nice guy, through quotes. However he promised me services he is not covered by his insurance to perform. However, heads up-. To avoid disappointment, save critical time, and avoid stepping into the never-never land of financial liability - 1) Ask which states he can produce "current" certificates of insurance for 2) Ask what services are covered by those policies 3) Do NOT use his abbreviated, non-specific form to sign to agree for him to begin work or have access to your insurance funds. Draw up a proper contract with specific services, expectations, as well as an outlined pay-out schedule. Do not be misled-. His insurance (when he is insured) limits his services and he cannot complete all that is needed for a complete restoration. If you are able to assume the risk- just note, he was "unaware" his SC insurance expired 2 months ago and quoted (intended to start & collect 50% of $) my job in NC while never having appropriate NC insurance coverage. He seems like a nice guy and everyone here seems to love his work. Just be willing to shoulder all the financial risk.

Completely restored our shower and tub from a water-damaged-safety-hazard to a beautiful, shiny, modern facility in a matter of days. We could not be happier! Gilman Restoration came highly recommended from a coworker. Very professional, courteous, and detail-oriented.

Peter was a truly pleasure to work with. He was always on time, was always easy to get in touch, and went above and beyond to do a quality job. Our crawlspace had seen years of neglect and was in terrible shape. Peter removed all the trash and existing vapor barrier and insulation from the crawl space, scrubbed and treated the floor joists for any mold, encapsulated the crawl space and installed a dehumidifier. He took extra care to keep the yard and surrounding area clean and free of debris. The finished job does not look like the same crawl space!

They did excellent job. They tore apart the whole bathroom the whole floor, rebuilt the shower and closet. Dried the subfloor. Then started putting the bathroom back together. He has always been very considerate of our time, and consistently makes time to address any questions we might have. He is unbelievably hard working, his pricing is highly competitive, and I'm convinced that there is nobody better out there for water damage restoration. He has indeed saved our home, and for that we are extremely grateful.

Peter was responsive and dependable, showing up and doing what he said. When he encountered unforeseen issues, he immediately dealt with them after consulting us. He cleaned up the area once done with the work and made sure the everything was in working order before he left. I would recommend him to anyone with a similar issue.

Peter made it so easy. I discovered the water on a Friday late afternoon, and he called me within an hour. I called several restoration companies and he was the only one to call back in a timely manner. The others waited until Monday, close to noon!! The next day he showed up and immediately started solving the problem. He worked with our insurance company. What a thought was going to be a major hassle turned out to be a not at all unpleasant experience. Highly recommend!!

I contacted Gilman Restoration and within a day Peter Gilman came to my property to inspect visible mold occurring in two rooms in my house. He was able to do testing and within the same day provide results and recommendations on how to not only remediate but also some better practices to help reduce and prevent in the future. I would definitely use Gilman Restoration again in the future.

Peter Gilman wiped off the mold and cleaned all surfaces with an anti-mold solution. He vacuumed, dehumidified the basement and helped me install a dehumidifier after he was done. Peter took precautions not to contaminate the upstairs area with mold. The work was done professionally.

Peter and his crew cleaned everything...extraxted all contaminated drywall and flooring. Unclogged the sewage line. Then reinstalled new drywall and sub-floor. Making my home perfect and healthy.

I provided the tarp and the pins. He provided the tape and did all the hard work. I was very happy to have him do this job for me and he did a great job! He cleaned up after himself, swept up my basement and hauled off all the old tarp. I was thrilled!!!

Peter Gilman and his company, Gilman Restoration, did an outstanding job in restoring our living area to a healthy mold-free place. Peter's proposal was very thorough and clearly listed all steps that he would be taking. In addition, he summarized everything in "laymen's terms" which helped us to better understand the accepted protocol for dealing with mold remediation. Anything we asked him to do based on recommendations by other home health specialists, he was either already planning to do or agreed to do it without hesitation. He showed up when he said he would, was always on time, worked long and hard each day and was extremely careful with all of our possessions. Nothing was broken, lost, or damaged. He answered any questions we had (and there were many) and always kept us informed on status. These are actions that are so much appreciated by homeowners, dealing with difficult situations.

I thought Peter Gilman, the owner of Gilman Fire and Flood Restoration, was terrific. We handled the appointment through email and he was very prompt in getting back to me and following through on scheduling and confirming. He showed up right on time. It turned out we do have an area where water is entering the house and Peter was very good in explaining what the problem might be and our options. In the meantime, he sprayed the area with an antimold spray to help prevent mold from developing. He also did a thorough inspection and testing of the other areas of the house that might have had a problem. I feel really good about his knowledge and his ability to help further if we need it. I will definitely be recommending him to other people.
