Precision Garage Door Service

It was fine. Indeed it was. I've used them before. I'm sure I was satisfied or I would've called you.

They were absolutely wonderful. They did a great job and were very prompt and coming and very courteous. There was no problem in scheduling. It took them about an hour to do it. They would have replaced the door, if I decided to do that, so I was very pleased.

The service man performed a comprehensive safety check of both garage doors, cleaned the contact points on the door that was very noisy, and made recommendations of work to be performed that would improver performance and safety. He answered all my questions and filled out a sheet outlining all his recommendations (for my husband).

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I spent an extra $100. I was very happy and very satisfied. They did a great job. They were very thorough and very clear about their costs. They came over promptly. They did exactly what they were supposed to do and they fixed it on the cost at a reasonable price. I didn't compare their prices.

Tried to get average estimate over the phone to compare prices before having person come out. Since I knew that a spring was broken and the size/type of door, with that information she gave me a price. Which I asked at least 3 times if this was the complete price so I could compare. She said I can't tell you for sure becasue depending on what size spring the cost is 129 to 159. Again, asked if this would be the complete price range....maximum would be 159.00. She said YES. When service person arrived, said that the spring replacement would be 149.00 PER SPRING.....or 300.00 plus a 10.00 fee for getting rid of the old springs. Upon hearing that, I told them I had a much better price and did not need him. charged me a 39.95 service call for the visit. I would not recommend them nor ever use them. This was in my estimation a Bait and Switch scheme. Very dishonest in my opinion.....especially since I did everything in my power to get the price over the phone.

He went on and above the calling. He replaced the coding on the garage because it wasn't working and showed my husband how to set it up and use it.

Very professional and thorough and I would definitely use them again.

I'd read the reviews before calling Precision Door to come repair my LiftMaster garage door opener. The unit had been serviced last year but had developed a new problem. I called and the person answering the phone was very courteous and helpful and I was able to have someone come out first thing the next morning. That was terrific. The serviceman arrived earlier than anticipated, another bonus since I didn't want to miss to much time at work. BecauseI had read the reviews I was prepared for the serviceman to begin trying to upsell me and that's actually the first thing he did. He told me that the shaft that held the chain was bent forward and that the bushings had failed meaning the motor had been in danger of burning out. Okay so far, it's a 14 year-old opener and mechanical things fail. Then he told me that the door spring was worn out and needed to be replaced and that the door needed to be replaced too. I pointed out that the spring was virtually brand new (replaced in May of 2011) and he told me that it was failing. Then he said my door hinges were worn and there were cracks. The hinges were replaced last year when the LiftMaster was serviced. At this point I became uneasy and the serviceman told me he would write me up an estimate for the whole job. I told him there was no point because having just recently gone back to work there was no way I could afford all that. He then told me he would have to collect the service fee and I told him I had a coupon from Angie's List. He said "Oh, Angie's List" He did reduce my service call fee. At no point was he unpleasant, however even though I anticipated the upselling attempt (everyone has to try I suppose) what unnerved me was him telling me that parts that were fairly new were "old and worn." That eliminated any trust.

Serviceman arrived on time and went to work immediately. He completed the work in a timely manner, explained what he had done and answered all my questions. He asked if there was anything else I needed done to door other than the tune-up I had purchased. He was very polite and efficient. His name was Brian. I have used this company in the past when my garage door became inoperable and had to be replaced. I will use their services again when needed.

My experience with them went fine. Obviously, he was trying to upsell me but he was very nice. He did what he needed to do.

The tech showed up on time and was well versed and we placed the order. Very nice The order however was delayed and there were a lot of layers to go through. I had to push to get it done as promised as I was having the entire garage re-done and timing was everything. Installation was done in my absence, but after a week it became apparent one hinge was installed incorrectly and was damaging itself. The Highlight: I called the 1 800 number posted next to my openener. In one day, a very qualified tech went over everything, fixed the problem, adjusted mounts and lubed the entire system. In short, there were hic ups but were very supportive.

I purchased a garage door tune up as we were having a few issues with our door. The technician immediately attempted to "scare" us into major work. He stated the door could fall at any time, causing damage or injury. He proceeded to explain that the parts were no longer made for our door and we needed repairs to the tune of $700-$800. He was arrogant and obviously trying to get a sale. We did not have him do anything to our door other than the alleged "tune up" we purchased. I contacted another company and had our door repaired for $150.

We are very pleased with the garage door installed by Precision Door 6 months ago. All company personnel from the initial visit through installation were professional and considerate. There have been no problems with the door.

The offer should be clearer about what can be done if you need a different service than the one you thought you needed when you bought it.

Overall, they did what the advertisement promised; however, they seemed more interested in selling me a replacement of garage door spring assembly with a lifetime guarantee for about $500 - $600. Claimed that my 12 year old spring was worn out and not supplying enough force to support the door. I declined this service, as the door works fine.

Everything was fine but the issue of the door shaking when opening and closing started up again after about a week after being serviced. We eventually had our neighbor come over and look at the door. He was able to see the pulleys need to be adjusted they were off track and need to be tightened up. It seemed as if the company gave us a temporary fix. The company had contacted us again to rectify the situation and fixed it free of charge the second time they came out.

Tech called ahead and arrived ON TIME! Very professional. All parts of my interaction with this company went exceptionally well. I would HIGHLY recommend this company.

We were trying to leave for work in the morning and the garage door jumped off of the track trapping ours cars in the garage. In a panic I immediately pulled up Angie's List and searched for garage door repair, never having needed service on our garage door prior we were completely relying on Angie. We found Precision and I immediately called, they were extremely friendly and got a team out right away to diagnose our problem, had everything fixed within a few hours and it even has a lifetime warranty.

Very well. He was professional and arrived on time and did the work that I asked. He did suggest I add more support to the door, but I declined since the door had been there for 17 years with no problems.

We were contacted by the local Precision office after the original Angie's List post regarding our experience with their call center. Nathan, the manager, contacted us to discuss the call center scheduling an appointment and then canceling the appointment the day of less than 1 hour before the scheduled appointment. Nathan was extremely apologetic and determined to make things right. Because of this effort to reach out to the customer, we were more than willing to work with them. The technician arrived as scheduled and performed all work that was necessary. He did a remarkable job and we were very pleased, as we always have been, with their performance. We will use this company for all future needs and this is based upon their work, but also their local team. We would like to thank Nathan for making this entire situation right. It is nice to have a company recognize when they have messed up....moreover....it is nice to have that company make it right! We highly recommend anyone looking for garage door service to contact Precision Door Service.

Precision Door Service called me within 30 minutes of purchasing my Angie's List Big Deal. I was able to get an appointment for the following week. The gentlemen who performed the service showed up right on time, and was very friendly and professional. He went about his work and called me when he was finished. He explained everything he had done, and ensured my satisfaction prior to having me sign the paperwork. I couldn't believe the difference. I can barely hear my garage door open or shut. Well worth the money, and the service was outstanding. I was thoroughly impressed with Precision from the first phone call through the actual work. I would definitely use them again should the need arise.

The door hs never operated so quitely, even when it was new. It no longer sticks or reverses direction while opening and closing. I'm very happy with the result.

They were very professional and their workers were very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. Everything turned out fine.
