Overall I would say they get a 'B'.

Came the same day I called. Made the modification in less than one hour without loss of our comfort on a very hot day.

I woke up on a Saturday morning to find the copper pipe from my air system frozen up. I called ARS at 11:00 AM and turned the system off to let it unthaw. As they were already book up through 1:00 PM, I was told they would add me to their appointment list but would not be able to give a set time due to the possibility of the other appointments running longer than expected. I understand that and since I was just watching football on the tv all day, I could live with that. The ARS representative arrived around 4:00PM. We discussed various problems(and prices) it could have been before he started working. He first check my air handler and found the coils were blocked. Since this is something that would be covered by their yearly maintenance plan (which they come out twice a year). He suggested the cheaper alternative of the maintenance plan which was just one payment of $169. In comparison, had I not gone that route the visit would have been $89.95 plus $110 to clean the coils. He showed me the gunk that had clogged the coils. I think this was money well spent and everything is working fine now.

They did it very efficiently and very quickly. It so happened that I was more than lucky that the second crew became available, so they were able to tear it out and put in the new one, in one day. They did a very good job and cleaned up well afterwards. Also, I did not quite understand how to set up the thermostat; I was missing a step so I called them to have someone stop by. That evening, the technician was on his way home and happened to live out in my area, stopped by and told me what I was missing. I felt like they went out of their way to help. I recommend them to other people and I was very pleased with their service.

They did a great job. They were very helpful. They were supposed to come back and pick up a piece that they left and they have yet to do that. I'm sure that's just a matter of something that they forgot to do. Overall, their service was very good.

They have done wonderful work for me in the past. Beyond the service, calls, they were very prompt and courteous. They will work with you and set up a payment plan to get you a new system.

It has turned out very well. They followed up when there was a problem that surfaced about a year after the system was installed and they made it right.

It was very good. They are good people. They showed up exactly when they said they would and performed the work when they were supposed to.

I could call him at anytime to do work on the unit. It's a very fancy and expensive unit and I have been nothing but satisfied with his work on it. No one else takes care of it!

It's pretty much been fine. I'm real pleased with them. The service has been really good. As far as I remember they went out of their way to get us heat. You can't get that kind of service from other companies anymore.

ARS responded to a call issued by the homeowner policy on the house I am renting. The tech who came out (Chris, Tech #2620) was very professional, and courteous. He introduced himself, explained to me what he was going to do once I explained my problem to him, and went straight to work. He fixed the problem with the AC unit, diagnosed another problem found in the system, and explained to me the options available to solve it in a way I could explain it best to the rental mgmt company. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient - what more could you want from any contractor you have work on your house? We were fortunate that ARS selected our job from the home warranty company - they will definitely receive my business in the future based on this experience! **I did rate them B in the punctuality category, only because my original appt was between 12-2, and they had to reached to between 4-6. This does not, however, reflect the work quality. It is July and demand is high for AC repair!

THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE A/C THAT THE TEAM COULDN'T FIX AND SENT SOMEONE OUT THE NEXT DAY. SOMEONE CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY AND FIXED THE PROBLEM. I REQUESTED PAPERWORK FROM THE MANUFACTURER RE THE SYSTEM I PURCHASED, BUT THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT HAVE IT. I REQUESTED SAME FROM THE SALESMAN, WHO HAD DONE AN OUTSTANDING JOB OF SELLING ME THE SYSTEM OVER OTHER ESTIMATES I HAD GOTTEN, BUT ONLY GOT A TYPED PRINTOUT THAT DIDN'T MENTION THE MANUFACTURER OR MODEL NUMBER. IT WAS SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE APPLIED TO ANY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT. THAT WAS BASICALLY MY ONLY NEGATIVE ISSUE.

They did a really good job. They listened to us when we had a concern and they came and adjusted some things. Overall, they did very good.

I use them because I have to use someone and they are as good as another. I think heating and air, on the whole, is way over-priced.

I got a call from them mon? I needed my A/C Checked for summer,I been in this house 7 years and this is the 1st company that did what they said the man was here for a good hr Cleaned Ck Freon and Test everything then came in the house went in the attice cleaned drain line ck pressure etc.

It was the first time I've used them. When I spoke with the technician and the manager and was able to negoiate the price. They were very good. The only thing that I was concerned about was that I did not receive a receipt for the estimate. Not a big deal, I know, but I would have liked to have had that.

I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I felt that the person who fixed my air conditioning unit was not trained at all. When they installed my unit they did not seal it and when I contacted them they did not call me back. There has been so much dust from the unit, that it has given me allergies. I have contacted the manager several times and no one has come out to fix the problem. I had a warranty with them and was left without air for 3 weeks in the summer. My unit is still not working properly because it breaks down several times a year.

We use them on a regular basis. They are a good company. They have really good response time and really great staff to work with. They are very prompt. Coming to the house means a lot to them. Sometimes companies will give you window of few hours. I do not remember if there was an exact time but I do remember I was impressed with them because they just got there and the price was reasonable. Their price is good compared to everybody else. They are professional. I would use their services again in the future.

The overall experience was okay. There were a few things, but nothing to really complain about because we are new to this kind of heating systems. They were professional. They came in and they did the job. Their pricing was reasonable for what I could afford; there were pricier units at other places. I needed to do it and I didn’t want to spend $10,000. The quality is good; it’s a brand name. Their responsiveness is right on the ball.

They were the providers of the Rheem equipment, and they also did the installation. Home Depot was the local agent for them.

The ARS sales rep was very patient with me while I gathered other quotes and worked to arrange financing and i went with their company partially due to the persistence of the salesman. After that things went ok, but not great. The installation crew came when they said they would and completed the installation of both units in two days. I didn't notice it at first, but the installation people did a poor job of cleaning up after the job was finished. One of the units replaced is in my attic and the other is under the house in a crawl space. While inspecting the work ARS did in the attic, I found various pieces of junk that were not removed when the job was done, including a large cardboard box and numerous pieces of insulation material and bits of electrical wire and plastic tubing.That is perhaps not a big deal, but when the crew was removing the old air handler in the attic they put some significant scratches in our hardwood floors. It looks like the mechanic dragged the old sheet metal box across the floor. ARS replaced our two thermostats with two new programmable units, but when I asked for the operating instructions to the units I was told that "I didn't need them and besides they had been thrown away". I had to fish one out of the trash so I could figure out how to program the units. I also looked for, but couldn't find the installation and service manuals for the units. They also had been disposed of. I contacted the sales rep I had been working with and asked for the service manuals as I think it is typical to hang those instructions on the side of each unit for future reference. He promised to get them for me, but I never got them. One of the clerks in their office sent me an email sheet of the electric schematic and that was all I received. Last but not least, we were promised a free service call 6 months after installation and never received it. UPDATE: AUGUST 2013 We had some other service people at our house recently and while they were in the crawl space they noticed that several of the air ducts that were reattached to the new air handlers that were installed by ARS were done poorly. They used plain old fiber duct tape instead of the metal tape which should be used in such an application, and the tape has deteriorated and pulled away from the connection points I have a quote from another vendor for $500 to properly tape the ducts in place which is something ARS should have done when they did the new unit installation.

We've used ARS twice and been extremely pleased with their professionalism and knowledge. They quickly figured out the problems with our electric heat pump and fixed them.

I have an annual contract with them, and I pay them on a yearly basis. They provide good service, and I have had no problems with them. Everything is working well. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

They were professional and very informative about the entire air conditioning unit; what size was needed and such. I will use them again in the future.

I liked their work as they did a good job. They were good but nothing out of the ordinary. Their price was good. I did not get a bunch of price quotes because I was used to dealing with them. They gave me a very decent price.
