Explained that the process would not make the chips disappear, just keep them from spreading, which is what I was looking to do - neither chip in eyeline for driving! Very helpful, even asked if I needed to contact my insurance company to mitigate costs. repair took about the time they had quoted me when we talked to set up the appointment. I had used this company to cut some mirror glass before, and they continue their great service for a reasonable cost. New to Angie's List (I was their first AL customer!) and should be continued as a great provider.

My wife and I have a second home in Aiken, SC. While traveling there, a car in the opposite lane threw up a rock and chipped our front windshield. The chip was directly in the driver's line of vision. I went by the State Farm insurance office in Aiken and checked with the office staff. They said that I could use any service provider I wanted, and they recommended Glassworks. State Farm uses a company called Lynx to handle their glass claims. I called the toll free number and explained what had happened. I told the representative that I would like to use Glassworks in Aiken, SC to do the repair or replacement. He recommended complete replacement due to the location of the chip. He put me on hold and got Glassworks on the line, and we had a three-way conversation. I made an appointment to go by Glassworks that same day. I went in, and the office staff person told me that they could get my windshield overnight, but it would be three business days before they could do the job. I said that was fine and scheduled the appointment. When I delivered the car to them, they gave me a ride back to our house and returned to pick me up when the job was completed. The replacement windshield matched the OEM perfectly and there were no leaks. I paid my $100 deductible for my comprehensive insurance and they billed State Farm directly for the remainder of the charges. Great work and great service.
