One day a worker dropped off a box of paintings - they were all stuffed sideways in a cardboard box - one frame was actually ripping right through an antique painting. I still have the painting, had it repaired. However, the value is gone. There were also a few other items that were returned broken. Thank goodness, when I was unpacking one particular box the manager of the company was standing right there and saw how poorly it was packed and the broken items. His name was Chris. Chris immediately assured me that the company has insurance for things like this. Jack Pomeranz called and also told me not to worry things would get taken care of. I had to keep calling and calling for over a year. There were also two flat weave wool rugs that were never returned. Jack finally said to my husband and I that he would give us $400 to just drop it. We saw nothing. What about the insurance money? What about the value of my things? I would like to add that at the time of this unfortunate event I was an Art/Antique dealer working in interior decorating.. The one particular box that I opened in front of Chris, the manager, had an antique Tiffany bowl in it in three pieces!
I realize that this review comes much later - I just never had it in me to write something or knew where to do it. Today I signed up for Angie's list to find a good place for kitchen cabinets and I felt the urge to tell my story.
