They're honest & very good at what they do. We've been using them for years so they didn't charge me for the battery re-charge, which was nice. You can also drop off you car at night with a note & they'll take care of it in the morning.

My 2003 forerunner tires were leaking air slowly but surely. After multiple visits to the air pumps in town (& scrambling for quarters) I finally to my vehicle into Elite. My tires had been changed out in many miles so I though I was in for a four tire change out and the expense that goes with it. While not a tire company my other experiences in the past with Elite had always been favorable.
As it turned out , the 3 tires "leaking" resulted in a simple fix of grinding/sanding the inside rims of corrosion where the air was slowly seeping out. I wound buying only two tires as they rotated the remaining two after cleaning up the rims.
They could have told as others did...you need 4 new tires. I appreciate the unusually high level of customer focus for fairness at elite and will continue with them for all other services.

They quoted me $49, when the normal going rate at other places is only $29.
Response from Elite Auto Repair
"[member name removed], sorry we didnt meet your expectations, we dont bait and switch like many of those 29.00 oil change places do. also did you know that quality of oil and filters matter? staff? we also pick up and deliver as well as wash, vac and clean windows? we also include in our price is filling all your other fluids as well. I dont charge you 3 dollars to top off your brake fluid or windsheild washer fluid like those bait and switch places do. 49.00 for an oil change is too much for you? really?? and what kind of car do you drive? I dont even see you on our customer list!"

Excellent level of service and repair was performed properly the first time. They did work with me to try to find a less expensive repair solution since the parts for my car were fairly expensive. Their Volvo tech Mark is a great technician and knows Volvos inside-out. Highly recommended!

took my 03 Hyundai Sonata to Elite to check brakes, found issue with ball joint, replaced and had an alignment doneprice was a little high I thought for service, place seems geared toward more expensive vehicle servicedesk staff overall courteous and professional, gentleman I spoke with I found to be a little impersonal but not rudebeen to a few other places since for repairs but still searching for the right balance of professionalism, friendliness and most importantly affordability

"Hi Member, Thank you for your response, we are always interested in anything someone has to say about us good, bad, or ugly and we also sometimes need to make adjustments here and there and we do listen. the biggest part of this whole thing is when asked will you come back you said No. and our lowest grade from you was a D and that was in reference to price, so we decided to call Tarbox Hyundai to check our price compared to them. I am pleased to say that their price to do the same as we did was 350.00 which tells me our price is OK. maybe not as low as you wanted to pay but still competitive with our competition. with this said I hope you will consider coming back. we never want to disappoint anyone and go out of our way to satisfy customers, you have found the place to service your car one that is honest, does quality work, and is friendly. why go anywhere else? one thing that can't be measured is honesty and at any price honesty is a bargain. I hope we can regain your confidence and continue a long term relationship. if we can't I hope you can find a place that suits your needs and I am sorry for any disappointment we gave you. Jim. . .. ."

The service was great. First time I used and Angie's List recommendation. They did not disappoint. I brought the car in for the problems I needed fixed (according to the dealership the last time I had it repaired they suggested 3 other things that needed fixing). Elite told me I only needed 1 of them and actually gave me the option to pick the car up and bring back in later in the week so than I could save another $40 bucks (because the part was avaiable online $40 cheaper vesus locally. Of course I chose to pay the upcharge to have it done immediately because it was a Saturday and I couldn't bring the car back during the week, but I have NEVER seen a repair shop offer to let you get away and come back to save money...totally awesome. They have earned a customer for life.

I was given a 98 Lexus ES300 from my uncle with various mechanical issues. When I realized I couldn't fix it myself, I called Jim at Elite. Jim spent over a half hour on the phone with me going over the symptoms of the car and letting me know his top spots he wanted to troubleshoot. He even said something to the effect of "now I haven't worked on a 98 in a little while but I think..." and described the engine component locations as if he were standing right in front of the car or had worked on one the day before. I cannot adequately describe how confident and comfortable this made me feel in taking my Lexus to Elite; they definitely are a bunch of really professional and courteous guys (and one woman) who know what they are talking about, and more importantly, doing.
While the car was being serviced Jim called every day, and on one day, multiple times, to keep me apprised of how the work was going. He called to get authorization on some more hours for labor, and let me know what the status of all the diagnostic work was. When he called me to let me know the car was fixed, and began the call with "I've got nothing but good news", I was elated and knew that I chose the right shop to save this car.
Driving home from the shop (the car was actually towed there) I felt the difference in the engine power/performance immediately. My car is fixed, thanks to Elite!
It turns out that the timing problems with my car were a result of a sloppy job at a national chain shop. Jim and the guys at Elite had to basically fix what the other people broke while trying to do whatever they did.
I think the price was extremely fair and reasonable considering the work that was done to the car. Not only did I pay for someone to fix my Lexus but I feel like I also paid for the comfort and security of knowing that the car was being worked on by a shop that has serviced hundreds (maybe thousands?) of Lexuses before, plus with tons of great reviews on here. Like I said, talking to Jim before taking my car to Elite immediately confirmed my feeling that this was a great place, and was re-affirmed when driving home from the shop.
As with many of the other reviews on here, Jim also let me know a couple of things to watch/listen for in the future that will need to be replaced. He even quoted a reasonable $140 to replace them.
Elite Auto is now my #1 repair shop! Thanks Jim!

They were prompt in fixing the problem. I dropped off my car the night before and picked it up about 2:00pm the next day. The cost was just as the person who quoted me the estimate. No surprises. They did an excellent job.

done on time, on budget, and did not come up with any phantom repairs to pad the bill. I had gotten an estimate from the garage across the street from my for the same work for $550. Elite also threw in a carwash. I will definetly go there from now on.

As a single woman who knows nothing about cars the last thing you want is to go to for service on your car and not know if you are being told you need more then you do or paying more then you should. I noticed a noise when I was braking so I looked on Angies list and Elite Auto came up first. I read some of the reviews and decided to call. A gentlemen answered the phone and I explained my problem and he kindly spent 15 mintues explaining what he thought it might be and offereing to go over my entire car at no cost and would take care of anything that it needed. I took it in and they called to tell me yes it did need new front and back along with rotors but they could resurface the front ones so I would save $300. I told them to please do the work and I just felt comfortable knowing it would be done right. I was called the next day and told it was all finished that one of the guys stayed late to get it done which I thought was so kind. They were closed when I picked it up and imagine my surprise when I found out it was not only washed but vacummed and cleaned inside (what an awesome thing to do). I was extremely happy with this facility and would recommend it to everyone. You certainly do not need to go to Inskip when Elite is far above in courtesy, service and quality.

My 2003 VW TDI Golf wouldn't start. So I took the car to the dealer, and they gave me an estimate of well over $2000. They suggested complete part replacements, and several jobs that seemed unnecessary to me (pad/rotor replacement, for one). So I had the car towed to Elite. They evaluated the problem, and determined that the part (EGR: having to do with the way the engine recycles exhaust to boost power) didn't need replacement. They also told me the brake job was unnecessary, as I had 4mm left on the pads (i.e. about 40% left). Bobby, the manager, talked me through every detail with care. I felt valued as a customer, and not taken for granted. Every time the situation changed, or they learned something new about the situation (sometimes to my $$ benefit), he called and talked me through it. The price was extremely fair, and the service top notch. I'll have all work done at Elite from now on.

A few weeks before, I had taken my car to a tire place for an oil change and tire rotation. They (the other place) told me I needed an inspection and that my car would not pass unless I had my brakes done. They estimated over $300. Based on the reviews here, I took my car to Elite to have the brakes done (They estimated $265). They could have done them and I'd have been none the wiser - but they called me and asked who had told me I needed brakes. They said mine were fine. The tightened a couple of things and took the car for inspection. The whole thing cost $59 (including the $39 inspection). They even drove me home and picked me up. I'll surely use these guys again (and NOT the tire place).
